Meet Romeo, a border collie mix. Romeo had been in shelter more than 8 months, but thank you to Coastal Pet Rescue he is now in foster and available for adoption. This incredible boy is a shining star with children and dogs, crate and leash trained and thriving indoors. He would be a phenomenal addition to any family. All he desires is love. He does have moderate energy level but after 10-15 minutes of playing and running around, he settles down. He aims to please his human and listens when corrected, but we are working on some more commands. Romeo is Heartworm positive. He has undergone injection therapy to treat his disease and is awaiting a negative re-test. Adopters should discuss heartworm protocols with their veterinarian to determine treatment.

Porter is a handsome fella who may have some border collie in his bloodline. It was reported to us by a previous owner that he had separation anxiety when left alone in a house. He has done well with some dogs at the sanctuary, but not all. We would not recommend that he live with a cat. He has been friendly to every person he meets and has a relaxed personality.

He thrives in large playgroups and loves a good yard game—especially fetch and keep-away with his favorite pals, YAM and BLU. With people, DANDY is pure sweetness. He seeks affection, leans into love, and truly enjoys being close to his humans. DANDY does have one simple daily need: his kibble should be slightly softened so he can eat comfortably. Other than that, he’s a joyful, active dog who’s ready to be someone’s best friend.
