Oscar started out life with a family who didn’t know how to care for an energetic dog but now loves his foster home. He has a big back yard to run around in, and other dogs to run and play with. He has lots of energy and needs a family who will play with him, take him for long walks, hikes or even on a run. He loves to snuggle and his foster family is working on his manners. He is very smart and has learned sit “down” to get more attention. He is curious about cats, but learns quickly that some cats don’t want to be chased. Weighing 36 pounds, he is a wonderful size for an active companion who is always ready to join in on whatever you’re doing. He is the kind of dog who truly wants to be involved and thrives on interaction with his people. One of Goose’s most endearing quirks is his love of collecting toys. He happily gathers every toy he can find from around the room and the toy box, proudly hoarding them in his own special corner as if he’s curating a personal treasure pile. It’s just one of the many ways his bright and entertaining personality shines through. Goose is housetrained, does well in his crate, and walks nicely on a leash. He rides well in the car and enjoys getting out to explore the world. True to his breed, he has a strong herding instinct and loves activities that let him move, think, and engage his brain.
