Story
This puppy is in Tennessee. Adoption Donation $250 if picked up in TN, $325 plus transport fee for out-of-state adoptions. Meet Goose, a one-year-old smooth-coated Border Collie with a big personality and an even bigger heart. Goose is friendly, playful, and full of busy, happy energy that keeps life interesting. Weighing 36 pounds, he is a wonderful size for an active companion who is always ready to join in on whatever you’re doing. He is the kind of dog who truly wants to be involved and thrives on interaction with his people. One of Goose’s most endearing quirks is his love of collecting toys. He happily gathers every toy he can find from around the room and the toy box, proudly hoarding them in his own special corner as if he’s curating a personal treasure pile. It’s just one of the many ways his bright and entertaining personality shines through. Goose is housetrained, does well in his crate, and walks nicely on a leash. He rides well in the car and enjoys getting out to explore the world. True to his breed, he has a strong herding instinct and loves activities that let him move, think, and engage his brain. Walks, playtime with other dogs, belly rubs, and chew time are all high on his list of favorite things. He is smart, treat-motivated, eager to please, and genuinely affectionate, making him a wonderful partner for training and bonding.  He gets along well with other dogs and is friendly with strangers. He can live with a cat as long as interactions are monitored to ensure play stays polite. Goose would be happiest in a home that understands and appreciates herding breeds and is committed to providing him with daily exercise, structure, and ongoing training. With the right outlet for his energy and intelligence, Goose will be an incredibly loyal, loving, and fun companion who is ready to give his whole heart to his future family.  Interested in adopting? Story
COURTESY LISTINGLILO is a courtesy listing, not in the AARF foster program, and we are posting online to help the owner find a home for them. Please visit http://aarf-tn.com/adopt/adoption-app/ to apply. Lilo is a bright, joyful burst of energy wrapped in a 30-pound Border Collie/Aussie mix body. Around four years old, she is the definition of enthusiastic—always ready for the next adventure, the next game of fetch, or the next opportunity to show off her clever mind. She greets life with excitement and a tail that never seems to stop wagging. This smart girl already knows sit, shake, and lay down, and she learns quickly with a willingness that makes training both fun and rewarding. With her intelligence and drive, Lilo has all the makings of an incredible sport or activity partner. Whether it’s rally, scent work, hiking, kayaking, paddle boarding, or simply an energetic game of fetch in the yard, she is ready to be your teammate. In fact, she loves fetch so much that she’ll sometimes toss the ball back to you herself if you’re not quick enough—just to keep the game going. Once she’s had a chance to burn off her zoomies, Lilo transforms into a devoted cuddle buddy. She’ll happily snuggle up close on the couch to watch TV, content just being near her people. She’s fully house trained, sleeps through the night in her crate, walks well on leash, and rides comfortably in the car. She loves kids and has done wonderfully with the children she’s lived with, bringing her playful spirit and affectionate heart into the home. Lilo does well with many dogs (but not some other female dogs) and has lived with cats, responding well to redirection when reminded of her manners. She thrives with structure, activity, and engagement, and she would do best in a home looking for a sporty, energetic partner who’s ready to include her in daily adventures. For someone seeking a smart, fun-loving, loyal companion who can keep up and then curl up, Lilo is ready to leap right into your life and your heart.  Interested in adopting?
