Story
This dog is in Tennessee. Adoption Donation $200 if picked up in TN, $275 plus transport fee for out-of-state adoptions. Freya is a gentle, soulful girl whose quiet bravery shows in the sweetest little ways. This 3.5-year-old Mini Australian Shepherd weighs 26 pounds and has beautiful blue merle fur, a thoughtful expression, and a moderate energy level that fits nicely into a peaceful routine. Freya is very much a dog’s dog and takes comfort in the company of other pups. She enjoys walks, light hikes, and running around a securely fenced yard with her dog friends, and it is adorable to watch her instinctively bark and herd everyone out the door for yard time. She loves chew toys, happily de-stuffs plush toys, and feels safest relaxing in her crate, which she considers her cozy retreat. Freya is housetrained, crate trained, walks well on leash, and knows cues like outside and kennel. While she is very timid with people, it is incredibly heartwarming when she gathers the courage to take treats or allow a quick head pet. In her past, Freya escaped from her home and was hit by a car, resulting in a broken pelvis and a dislocated leg. She underwent surgery and has since made a full recovery, moving comfortably and enjoying her daily activities without issue. She does well with other dogs and cats and would do best in an adult-only home where things are calm, predictable, and respectful of her space. A quiet household with a securely fenced yard and at least one friendly dog companion is what she needs. She needs someone who will accept her exactly as she is - a shy girl who wants to hang out with other dogs more than people. If you think Freya could be the perfect companion for your dog and a fun addition to your home, please contact us for more information.  Interested in adopting? Take the first step and complete an adoption application on our website: http://aarf-tn.com/adopt/adoption-apps/ If you have questions that are not covered in the profile, visit the Pet Inquiry Form: http://aarf-tn.com/contact/pet-inquiry-form/. THIS PET IS FOSTERED IN TENNESSEE! We do list and adopt our pets nationwide. Typical transport cost to the Northeast is $180. Due to interstate adoption regulations, we are not able to adopt to RI and MA state residents. A.A.R.F. (All About Rescue and Fixin' Inc.) http://aarf-tn.com/ is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) no kill animal rescue organization located in the Upper Cumberland area of Tennessee. A.A.R.F. is comprised of unpaid volunteers and survives only on public donations. Thank you for thinking adoption first! Prior to adoption, all canines and felines are spayed or neutered, have received their age appropriate vaccinations, have been de-wormed for common parasites, and have received treatment for prevention of fleas and ticks. All canines over the age of 6 months have been tested for heartworm. All canines are put on heartworm prevention as soon as possible - this means dogs as soon as they are tested negative. Puppies are put on prevention immediately. All felines, regardless of age, have been tested for Feline Leukemia/FIV. Each animal receives a health check by a licensed veterinarian prior to adoption. Anything else found will be treated by our organization prior to adoption. January 19, 2026, 12:58 pm

Story
Junebug is a sweet, loving, and playful girl who is getting her long-overdue second chance at life. She previously lived on a chain, but she’s quickly embracing the comforts of being a beloved companion. She’s doing well with potty training and is learning her house manners, and she walks nicely on a leash. Junebug seems to enjoy people of all ages, including children, though her playful energy may be a bit much for very small kids. Junebug does well with other dogs but may show some assertive behavior, so proper introductions are important. She has not been cat tested. A meet and greet is required prior to adoption to ensure a great match. She is up to date on vaccines and will be spayed very soon. Junebug is ready to find a loving home where she can finally enjoy the life she deserves.
