Monster was dumped in school parking lot as a 12 week old puppy. He was emaciated and had injuries to one leg. A Good Samaritan brought him to our sanctuary where he has been for two years patiently waiting for a chance to get a family. He is highly intelligent, house trained, calm, healthy and loves to just follow his person around.

Coal was a little lost puppy who was hit by a car and left for dead. Thankfully, a Good Samaritan found him, got him help, and brought him to Flying B. For the first time, Coal is learning what safety, kindness, and love feel like. It’s obvious he had a rough start. He’s still a little unsure of people and tends to hang back and watch. But Coal is incredibly observant. He watches the other pups getting attention, cuddling with people, and having fun—and he’s slowly figuring out that maybe humans aren’t so scary after all. And lately, we’re starting to see glimpses of the puppy he was meant to be. His playful, joyful side is peeking out more and more, especially when he thinks no one is watching. Coal doesn’t need someone to “fix” him. He just needs someone willing to show him, patiently and consistently, that life can be good. We can’t wait to watch this little guy learn how to be a puppy. Ready for a meet and greet? Kick off the process with an application at www.flyingbrescue.org/adopt. Our application is thorough but there are no right or wrong answers - we just want to make sure you and the pet are the perfect match. Once we receive your application, we will schedule a phone interview. Our adoptions include a 2-week trial period with fully refundable adoption fees during that period. If you are located outside of Texas, we offer transportation services and have happy families as references. We value transparency, so don’t be afraid to ask us anything.

Sylvie is a border collie mix that is between 40 and 50 lbs and extremely gentle. The other breed may be a blue healer due to coloring and build. This is a very smart dog and she is running out of time. She has a long body and shorter legs and is very fast. Please don't let her weight influence your decision. She is 4 1/2 years young, eager to learn new things, and super sweet. She is a ton of fun! Her favorite game is fetch with an empty water bottle inside a sock. She will sit and wait for the bottle to be thrown. Sylvie is beautiful inside and out. Sylvie knows sit, come, and will do circles on command. She does not jump on people unless very excited and is getting so much better. There has been no problem with her around other dogs.My spouse recently passed away and I will need to move and cannot take her with me. Her eyes will melt your heart. This is one special baby girl.

Bacho has been a great pet. He is lovable, loyal, responsive, affectionate, playful, and easy to take care of. He knows many commands like sit, lay down, come here, stay, go to your bed, go do your business (and he does it quickly), fetch (go get it!) and brings the toy back, etc. He doesn't chew on things (way past that stage). He is crate trained. He eats immediately upon feeding. His coat stays clean. No known allergies or skin sensitivities. And loves to go on walks. I took Bacho in as a puppy during the middle of Covid from a neighbor. He is mixed Border Collie, Blue Healer and some Pit. Things have changed in my life and I cannot give him the attention he deserves.
