Story
Sweet Cherie Miel wants to be your sweetie! She will brighten any home with her joie de vivre. Cherie is approximately 9-10 months old, weighs just shy of 50 lbs. and has a silky single coat that makes her a breeze to groom. She is friendly and gentle with all ages - adults & children, dog friendly, well-mannered in house, fully crate trained, housebroken, leash trained, enjoys car rides, and enjoys getting out with her people for new adventures whether it's a walk in the park or visiting a dog-friendly venue & meeting new people. She, however, does show slight prey interest towards cats so currently is not recommended for a cat-friendly home. If you’re ready for a meet and greet, kick off the process with an application at www.flyingbrescue.org/adopt. Our application is thorough but there are no right or wrong answers - we just want to make sure you and the pet are the perfect match. Once we receive your application, we will schedule a phone interview. Our adoptions include a 2-week trial period with fully refundable adoption fees during that period. If you are located outside of Texas, we offer transportation services and have happy families as references. We value transparency, so don’t be afraid to ask us anything.

Their journey began when their parents, Millie and Brownie, were found living at a local farmers market. Residents told us they had been surviving there for at least two weeks, and we were asked to step in and help. We hired a professional trapper, safely brought them into our rescue, and thought everyone was finally safe. Then came the surprise... 4 boys 3 Girls Millie was pregnant! Which she was schedule for a spay on June 25th Just a short time later, she welcomed this beautiful litter into the world. Based on Mom and Dad's size, we believe these puppies are Collie mixes and expect them to mature to around 35 pounds or less. We're now accepting pre-adoption applications! Simply include the name of the puppy you're interested in on your application. About Mom & Dad Brownie (Dad) has already been neutered, fully vetted, and is currently undergoing treatment for heartworms using the slow-kill method. Story
Henry came to us as a young pup and was diagnosed with Megaesophagus. You can see by looking at him that it does not slow him down. The absolute only thing different between him and any other dog is that he has to eat on two feet. Everything else is normal. Eating on 4 feet is not an option for him. However, he can drink and have treats on 4. He is crate, house trained, and doggie door trained. He gets along well with all size of dogs as he has several foster siblings. He is very loving and affectionate and believe it or not is sensitive. When researching this condition, ask questions as not all cases are the same. His foster has had two different ME dogs and both are very different. He needs that special person who will look after him and make sure he stays and healthy and happy as he is now. He would love to have a playmate too.

Story
Gordy is a fluffy cookie monster, trapped in the body of a Border Collie. He doesn't know how to herd livestock or chase balls. He'd rather sit pretty for treats than run after sheep.Gordy is as handsome as they come! His right ear always stands at attention, while his left cocks to the side and a smile is stretched across his face. He loves to play tag in the yard with other dogs and tries to beat the neighboring dog to the end of the fence line. Gordy may be a little slow when feeling at ease in new situations or with new people, but once he knows you're a good person, he'll think you're the bee's knees and want to be friends!Would you like to wake up to Gordy's smile every morning? Then contact OHAR to learn more about how to meet him!History: Gordy was turned into the Mesquite Animal shelter when found as a stray. Gordy is a happy, playful guy who is eager to please. He is crate trained graduated from obedience training where he was a star pupil.Adoption Process: After your application is approved, a home visit is schedule. We will bring the pet to you and help with introductions to your current pet(s). You will then have a week with the pet to ensure they are the right fit for your home. At the end of the week, you finalize the adoption and the pet is officially part of your family! Learn more at ohar.org/adoptionprocess

Story
Sylvie is a border collie mix. The other breed may be a blue healer due to coloring. She is 4 years old and super sweet. I rescued her from a woman that did not feed her so there is a small food aggression that has been greatly corrected. Sylvie needs someone that can spend time with her and play. She loves playing fetch and will play a very long time. She is extremely smart and loving. I have taught her a few things but do not have the energy to keep up with her. My spouse recently passed away and I will need to move and cannot take her with me. She has been raised around an older dog. They play together. She is very gentle with children and loves the attention.

Story
Molly is a 10 year old mixed breed dog (previous owners said Australian Shepherd mix but not sure) Previous owners are moving out of state and wanted to put her down since she cannot go with them. She gets very nervous around little kids so she will feel most at home with an older couple or a couple with no kids. She is very loyal and loves to lay under her blanket all day.
