Story
♥&#239&#184&#143 Meet Cassie, a gentle, resilient tripod ready for her second chance    Cassie’s life changed in an instant. She was found running loose in a subdivision off Cockrell Hill after multiple neighborhood dogs had already been hit by cars. With police assistance, TexasACR stepped in, and learned Cassie had not only been struck, but had previously been hit with a bat by a neighbor.   Despite all she endured, Cassie never lost her sweetness.   Her leg was so severely damaged that surgeons had no choice but to amputate. She handled surgery like a champ and has recovered beautifully, now navigating life as a tripod with ease, joy, and confidence.   Today, Cassie is safe in foster care and thriving. She is house trained, rides wonderfully in the car, loves to play, and has a gentle, loving personality. She has been wonderful with people and other dogs, and her forgiving spirit is nothing short of inspiring. This young Border Collie mix is ready for a home where she will be cherished. ♥&#239&#184&#143   Apply to adopt Cassie: TexasACR.org   #TexasACR #TripodDog #RescueStrong #SecondChancesVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.  We are a non-profit 501c3 Animal Rescue located in Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas. Thankfully a good Samaritan found him and brought him safely to us. He is affectionate, happy, and very loving. He is also a Doggie Day Out ROCKSTAR and loves going out on walks with our volunteers. They report that he greets everyone he meets with patience, kindness and eagerness... almost like he is hoping this might be the person to give him the chance he needs. Kirby has a lot going against him... he is a big black dog in the shelter... something that already makes it harder for him to find a forever home. Then there is the heartworm status. Kirby has tested positive for heartworms, but please don`t let that stop you....A Quick Note About My Heartworm Status I’ve tested positive for heartworms, but don’t let that scare you! Heartworms are treatable, and with the right care (which our team is happy to talk to you about low cost treatment options in our area), I can go on to live a long, happy, and healthy life. Many wonderful dogs like me test positive for heartworms through no fault of our own and we just need a little extra TLC and some time to heal. The most important thing I need right now is a loving home where I can rest, recover, and feel safe. Please don’t let the word heartworm make you pass me by, I have so much love to give, and I promise I’ll make every bit of the journey worth it. If you’re looking for an amazing dog who’s ready for a fresh start, I’m your new best friend. As a VIP Pet, Kirby has a reduced adoption fee! Please give this deserving boy a chance and meet him today! At Arlington Animal Services, every dog is individually evaluated by multiple members of our experienced team. Story
Mia was given to me by my neighbor who was diagnosed with cancer. I don't have her health records but she said she was up to date on her vaccinations and I don't believe she's microchipped. I believe her to be about 3 or 4 years of age. Mia is highly intelligent and will be easily trainable. Intuitive of human emotion, she seems to always sense my moods and reacts. Mia is sweet as honey, and she still has that puppy energy and then loves to snuggle up. If you want a sweet, playful, affectionate, highly trainable young pup, she would make a great fit. She needs a young family that can take her out for walks and give her a life that I can't. She deserves it. I don't know why it says required spayed, that's not my policy.

These pups are in Midlothian, Texas too!

Story
I got him from a local breeder, and he’s now about 1 ½ years old. He is an incredibly smart, loving, and energetic dog who truly thrives with attention and consistency. He loves cuddles, enjoys being close to his people, and learns new things very quickly. I’m looking for a home that can give him the time, structure, and affection he deserves — someone who will walk him regularly, continue his training, and offer a stable and loving environment where he can flourish. He’s the kind of dog who bonds deeply and brings so much joy to the right family.
