Story
♥&#239&#184&#143 Meet Cassie, a gentle, resilient tripod ready for her second chance    Cassie’s life changed in an instant. She was found running loose in a subdivision off Cockrell Hill after multiple neighborhood dogs had already been hit by cars. With police assistance, TexasACR stepped in, and learned Cassie had not only been struck, but had previously been hit with a bat by a neighbor.   Despite all she endured, Cassie never lost her sweetness.   Her leg was so severely damaged that surgeons had no choice but to amputate. She handled surgery like a champ and has recovered beautifully, now navigating life as a tripod with ease, joy, and confidence.   Today, Cassie is safe in foster care and thriving. She is house trained, rides wonderfully in the car, loves to play, and has a gentle, loving personality. She has been wonderful with people and other dogs, and her forgiving spirit is nothing short of inspiring. This young Border Collie mix is ready for a home where she will be cherished. ♥&#239&#184&#143   Apply to adopt Cassie: TexasACR.org   #TexasACR #TripodDog #RescueStrong #SecondChancesVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.  We are a non-profit 501c3 Animal Rescue located in Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas. Story
Bacho has been a great pet. He is lovable, loyal, responsive, affectionate, playful, and easy to take care of. He knows many commands like sit, lay down, come here, stay, go to your bed, go do your business (and he does it quickly), fetch (go get it!) and brings the toy back, etc. He doesn't chew on things (way past that stage). He is crate trained. He eats immediately upon feeding. His coat stays clean. No known allergies or skin sensitivities. And loves to go on walks. I took Bacho in as a puppy during the middle of Covid from a neighbor. He is mixed Border Collie, Blue Healer and some Pit. Things have changed in my life and I cannot give him the attention he deserves.

Story
Chesney was abandoned puppy at an elderly womans house who rescued dogs but could not keep him. She believed he was border collie mix. We took him in as we had a need for a border collie to help with cows as our ranch dog was elderly. For the last 2 years he has been great not so much herding though he has the instinct he doesn't like the job. He is very social and our neighbors encouraged him to play with their dogs when he wandered one day & that started the problem. We are on 30 acres and now he refuses to stay home. He wants someone to pay him attention & we are afraid he will get hit by a car or end up on a ranch where he could be hurt by another animal doing his job. He loves kids & other dogs! I am unsure about cats but he was caught chasing one on another property recently probably to play but unsure. We love him but it is no longer safe & we now have to keep him chained up as he refuses to stay home.We have 2 hunting dogs,he gets along great. He is social & needs a good home.

Story
I adopted Nova with her sister Sugar who is also needing to be rehomed. I really want them to go together as they have never been apart and really love each other. They have been extremely sheltered, not even really leash trained as I have a large property. Nova loves toys, she likes to walk around with them and often falls asleep with them in her mouth. The girls are very vocal and we always loved hearing them “sing” so it has always been encouraged. They are extremely playful but we have never had kids around? There just aren’t any I know, so i am unsure how they will be though I assume they will be great. They love attention and hugs and kisses. They grew up in a pack where we have several dogs and cats, they do well with all of them and like to play with everyone. They are mostly house trained however going into a new home they will need frequent breaks and a schedule. That will be best to het them back on track in a new place. If there are any questions please reach out.
