2.5 year old, high energy herding dog with no where to put all this energy. She loves to have a task or mission and loves to learn new tricks for treats. She knows sit, stand, circle, lay down, wait, touch (nose to hand), hand (paw in hand), bring it back (fetch). She is stubborn but will listen when she wants to or if given a good treat. She had a rough start in life, living outside competing with a dozen other puppies. This shows in her behavior, getting anxious at things happening she doesn’t understand or snarling in her crate as she eats her food. She is house trained, crate trained, and has experience being in fenced in yards or on a leash tie out with supervision. She is a good girl and wants to be praised. She doesn”t like much petting but wants some firm butt pats. She needs a good home where she can have more space and attention. She loves to play fetch with small Chuckit balls. I am highly allergic to her and need to find her a good home for both of us.

With police assistance, TexasACR stepped in, and learned Cassie had not only been struck, but had previously been hit with a bat by a neighbor. Despite all she endured, Cassie never lost her sweetness. Her leg was so severely damaged that surgeons had no choice but to amputate. She handled surgery like a champ and has recovered beautifully, now navigating life as a tripod with ease, joy, and confidence. Today, Cassie is safe in foster care and thriving. She is house trained, rides wonderfully in the car, loves to play, and has a gentle, loving personality. She has been wonderful with people and other dogs, and her forgiving spirit is nothing short of inspiring. Hi, I'm Athena. I'm a good girl, a border collie and maybe german shepard. My vaccinations are up to date, my heartworm test was negative, and I'm taking the preventative pills. I'm with a foster now and they have three other dogs. I need to have a home with a family that can curl up with me and play with me. They can bush my luxurious blonde fur. I know basic commands and I am housebroken. I get along with cats and other dogs. Not squirrels though, I'll let you know when they are around and protect you! I love people and would love to go to the dog park to run and play. I have been in few homes and I want the next one to be my forever home. Will you be that? I'll be your best friend forever.

Mia was given to me by my neighbor who was diagnosed with cancer. I don't have her health records but she said she was up to date on her vaccinations and I don't believe she's microchipped. I believe her to be about 3 or 4 years of age. Mia is highly intelligent and will be easily trainable. Intuitive of human emotion, she seems to always sense my moods and reacts. Mia is sweet as honey, and she still has that puppy energy and then loves to snuggle up. If you want a sweet, playful, affectionate, highly trainable young pup, she would make a great fit. She needs a young family that can take her out for walks and give her a life that I can't. She deserves it. I don't know why it says required spayed, that's not my policy.

Bacho has been a great pet. He is lovable, loyal, responsive, affectionate, playful, and easy to take care of. He knows many commands like sit, lay down, come here, stay, go to your bed, go do your business (and he does it quickly), fetch (go get it!) and brings the toy back, etc. He doesn't chew on things (way past that stage). He is crate trained. He eats immediately upon feeding. His coat stays clean. No known allergies or skin sensitivities. And loves to go on walks. I took Bacho in as a puppy during the middle of Covid from a neighbor. He is mixed Border Collie, Blue Healer and some Pit. Things have changed in my life and I cannot give him the attention he deserves.
