Story
Wilson is a Border Collie Poodle mix, he is very active, energetic, loyal and fun. He is 5 years old, and is very intelligent. He would thrive with a family that could provide him with more space and time to move, and uses positive reinforcement. He is crate trained, knows basic commands, and is non destructive. He is not fully hypoallergenic but does shed significantly less as a poodle mix. He would do best in a home without children, cats, or other dogs. He would do well with teenagers and/or adults. He is prone to resource guard with other dogs. My wife and I got him a few months after we got married, and since then he has been an absolute gift to us. We have unfortunately come to the difficult decision to rehome Wilson. He is a really wonderful dog, but we are about to have a second kid in a small house and our home/lifestyle is no longer a good fit for him. We really want him to find a family that can provide him with the life he deserves! Please message me for more details!

Story
Meet Mark!Mark is a 8-year-old male Heeler mix who was picked up by Animal Control in Union Gap. Sadly, no owner ever came forward for him, but he’s now on the road to a brighter future. When Mark first arrived, he was dealing with a painful abscess on his leg. Thanks to the care and treatment from our YHS clinic staff, he’s feeling much better and more comfortable now. The adoption center environment has been a bit overwhelming for him, and Mark can be unsure of what’s expected in such a busy setting. He’s quiet in his kennel and does best when handled slowly and calmly, as too much excitement can make him feel scared.Mark will thrive in a quiet, patient home that can help him feel safe, secure, and loved as he continues to build confidence. A fenced yard is a must, as we want Mark to be able to relax and feel secure while he settles in with his forever family. With time, understanding, and gentle care, Mark has the potential to be a deeply loyal and loving companion. This pet is available for adoption on 12/29/2025 11:04 AM at the Yakima Humane Society adoption center.
