Story
Meet Kasper, a three-month-old Border Collie/German Shepherd mix weighing 17 pounds. This handsome boy was found as a stray alongside his siblings and his devoted mama, Kali. Despite his rough start, he’s proven to be nothing but sweet, gentle, and full of love. He’s already a big boy with an extra-fluffy coat that makes him look like a tiny cloud. We suspect he may have some Great Pyrenees in his mix, given his size and soft, plush fur — and possibly that thoughtful, observant personality too. While his siblings are a bit more outgoing, he’s on the shy side and takes a little time to warm up. But once he trusts you, he absolutely melts for affection. Belly rubs? Yes, please! ?? He’ll happily roll over and soak up all the love you’re willing to give. He’s looking for a patient, kind home where he can continue to build confidence and blossom into the loyal, loving companion he’s meant to be. If you’re searching for a gentle soul with a fluffy coat and an even softer heart, this big sweetheart might just be your perfect match. Please remember that Kasper is a puppy and puppy behavior comes with the package. They need basic training and potty training along with being provided chew toys to encourage proper chewing habits. All puppies require socializing from a young age to help them become the best, most well-rounded dog they can be.This pet is available for adoption on 2.17.25 at the Yakima Humane Society adoption center. If you recognize this animal please contact the adoption center at 509-457-6854.Ready to adopt? Great news-our spayed/neutered pets are available to go home the same day! Story
Meet Jewels, a one year old Border Collie/Whippet mix weighing 41 pounds. Jewels is a true gem — sparkling with personality, energy, and brains! This very friendly, outgoing girl greets the world with enthusiasm and a constantly wagging tail. She loves people and isn’t shy about showing it.Smart, active, and incredibly agile, Jewels is always ready for action. She would make an amazing partner for someone interested in agility, advanced training, hiking, or any fun, on-the-go adventure. She’s quick on her feet, eager to learn, and keeps life entertaining with her silly, playful antics that are guaranteed to make you smile.Jewels is wicked smart — the kind of smart that keeps you on your toes! She learned to ring a bell to go outside in just three weeks and would happily continue that routine with her new family. She’s even figured out how to open some doors to get to what she wants. This girl doesn’t just live in the world — she studies it.Jewels was previously adopted but returned because apartment living wasn’t the right fit for her activity level, and she showed a strong desire to chase the resident cat. This is very normal for her breed mix and her natural herding instincts. Because of this, she is looking for a home without cats or small animals. We would especially love to see her placed with someone who has researched her breed mix and understands the mental and physical enrichment she thrives on.With the right outlet for her energy and intelligence, Jewels will absolutely shine. She has a great activity level, loves to learn, and bonds deeply with her people. If you’re looking for a fun-loving, energetic, and brilliant companion who will keep you laughing and moving, Jewels is ready to sparkle by your sideThis pet is available for adoption on 1/2/2026 at 2:13 PM at the Yakima Humane Society adoption center. Story
Wilson is a Border Collie Poodle mix, he is very active, energetic, loyal and fun. He is 5 years old, and is very intelligent. He would thrive with a family that could provide him with more space and time to move, and uses positive reinforcement. He is crate trained, knows basic commands, and is non destructive. He is not fully hypoallergenic but does shed significantly less as a poodle mix. He would do best in a home without children, cats, or other dogs. He would do well with teenagers and/or adults. He is prone to resource guard with other dogs. My wife and I got him a few months after we got married, and since then he has been an absolute gift to us. We have unfortunately come to the difficult decision to rehome Wilson. He is a really wonderful dog, but we are about to have a second kid in a small house and our home/lifestyle is no longer a good fit for him. We really want him to find a family that can provide him with the life he deserves! Please message me for more details!

These pups are in Yakima, Washington too!
