Story
Meet Maggie, also know as Mooshie. She’s about 7 years old and is from a rescue in the mountains of NC. She is very kind and affectionate with humans. Maggie would do well with a young active person and as the only dog in the house because she engages in resource guarding (safeguards toys, her human and holes she digs from other dogs). She walks well and needs lots of exercise. She is part border collie and smart, agile and fast but has never been food motivated (she is toy and praise motivated). For the right person, she would be the ideal dog. This person would be active and walk, run, hike, bike etc… with her a minimum of 2x/day, keep her mind engaged with toys and dog training and just love her and let her love them. She just wants to be with you and cuddle and play and go on walkies. She is scared of storms and crate trained (but haven’t used it in years). She will dig in the backyard if she does not get enough exercise and mental stimulation.

Story
Meet Gordie!Gordie is a lovable 4 1/2 year old mix breed (DNA test in his photots.) Full of energy and always ready to wiggle his butt in excitement, Gordie is the kind of pup who loves to play and cuddle in equal measure. He’s looking for a family who can match his energy—older, respectful children would be his ideal playmates. Gordie isn’t too fond of cats, so he’d need a home without them. In his previous home Gordie did not do well with other dogs, (especially small yappy dogs, can you blame him?) but we do think he may do well with other large dogs visiting or having play dates. He just isn`t a fan of sharing his home long term! He’s a big, sweet-hearted boy just waiting to bring joy and love to the people of his forever home!*STAFF NOTE Today we found out that gordie LOVES playing in kiddie pools*

WE ARE A TX-BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org ✨🐾 Meet Lady — Gentle Soul, Quiet Companion, Blossoming Beauty 🐾✨ Hi… I’m Lady 💛 I’m about 10 months old, 25 pounds, and if I’m being honest… I’m still figuring this big, busy world out. I may be a little shy when we first meet—you might have to come get me (I like to pretend it’s a game of “you can’t catch me,” but I promise I’m not very committed to winning 😅). Once you do, though? I melt. Soft pets, kind voices, and gentle patience are my absolute favorite things. I’m what they call a “gentle heart.” I don’t have a mean bone in my body—just a sensitive soul who wants to feel safe and loved. And once I do? Oh… I start to shine. ✨ I love other dogs—they help me feel brave and show me that everything’s going to be okay. Having a confident canine friend in my forever home would be like having my own emotional support buddy. Some of my favorite things: - Going on walks (I’m actually really good on a leash!) - Checking in to make sure you’re still there… because you’re important 💛 - Quietly hanging out near you like your polite little shadow - Learning that the world isn’t so scary after all I’m not the chaotic, zoomy type—I’m more of a “let’s take a peaceful walk and then sit together in comfortable silence” kind of girl. Think cozy companion, not party animal. Because I’m still building my confidence, I’d do best in a calmer home without small children. Lots of noise and fast movement can feel overwhelming for me—but with patience, love, and time, I’m blossoming more every single day. 🌼 What I really need is someone who sees me—not just the shy beginnings, but the loving, loyal dog I’m becoming. Someone who will go at my pace, celebrate my little victories, and let me grow into the confident girl I’m meant to be. I promise, I’m worth the wait. So if you’ve got a kind heart, a little patience, and maybe a friendly dog who wouldn’t mind showing me the ropes… I’d love to be your Lady. Apply today at haydudeequine.org 🐾💛

Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org 🐾 Meet Ollie— The Velcro Puppy With The Biggest Heart 🐾✨ Hi y'all… I’m Ollie 6 months old (DOB 11/2025), about 55 pounds, and already very experienced in the art of loving my humans with my whole entire heart. You know how some dogs like their space? Yeah… I don’t. If you walk outside, I’m there. If you move across the yard, I’m there. If you so much as think about doing chores… I’m your assistant now. No training required. They call me a “people’s dog,” but honestly? I think of myself as your personal emotional support shadow. I just really, really want to be where you are… preferably while receiving pets. 💁‍♂️ Don’t get me wrong—I like fun too! I enjoy: - Playing with my siblings (I let them think they’re in charge) - Splashing in water like a happy little goof 💦 - Tossing toys around like I invented fun BUT… if you’re nearby? Game over. You win. You are my favorite activity every single time. I’ve been told I’m incredibly sweet and gentle—and it’s true. I’ve got a soft, loving way about me that makes people melt. I’m also very patient… especially when it comes to waiting for you to sit down so I can immediately curl up next to you like it’s my full-time job (because it is). Snuggling? Oh, I take that very seriously too. I don’t just cuddle… I commit. My dream home is simple: Someone who wants a loyal best friend, a constant companion, and a pup who will love them like they hung the moon. I’m going to be an amazing family dog—but more than that, I’m going to be someone’s whole heart. I already made my person my world… I’m just waiting for my forever one to do the same. So… if you’ve been looking for a best friend who will never leave your side (literally), I think I might be your guy, just apply today, like right now, at haydudeequine.org 🐾✨

He gets along great with other dogs, enjoys meeting people of all sizes, and would make a wonderful companion for just about any home.
