__________
Beckett made the journey from Georgia to Wisconsin with Mutt Life Dog Rescue and has into his foster home.
When Beckett was found as a stray in rural Georgia, the world was a scary place. While all of his siblings have found forever homes, Beckett is still waiting for someone to see the incredible dog he’s become.
The best part? He’s made amazing progress in his Wisconsin foster home. After a difficult start in life and a long trip north, he has begun to build confidence, and experience the comfort and stability of a home environment.
Beckett is potty trained, crate trained, wonderful with other dogs, and gentle with kids. He loves spending time outside and is finally discovering that treats are worth getting excited about.
Like many rescue dogs, Beckett takes a moment to warm up to new people and places. He is timid however, give him a little patience and consistency, and his sweet, playful personality starts to shine. Once he feels safe, he’s affectionate, gentle, and a joy to have around. A home with a predictable routine will help him continue building confidence as he settles in. Beckett would also do great with a canine companion to help build his confidence.

ADOPTION PROCESS:
1.) Apply: Fill out adoption application completely and submit all necessary documents.
2.)Application Decision: approved applicants will be notified via phone call and email.
3.)Foster-to-Adopt Trial Period: after approval, you have the opportunity to do a meet and greet and bring your dog home! You get a 5 day foster-to-adopt (FTA) period to make sure it's the right fit.
4.) Final Decision: By the end of the FTA period, please let us know your final decision to adopt or return the dog to our rescue.
5.) Home Visit: After the adoption process we conduct a home visit either in person or via zoom meeting to ensure that everything is going well with the transition and to answer any final questions you may have.
6.) Neuter/spay for puppies: for dogs who are not fixed at the time of adoption, we will reimburse $125 for the procedure once we receive proof of spay/neuter. We recommend going to HAWS Snip Clinic in Waukesha, WI or Wisconsin Community Veterinarian Center in Madison, WI for the most affordable option. If you would like to go through your veterinarian or another location, that works too!
**Note: Adoptions are not considered final until the dog is neutered/spayed if applicable**
