Story
Hi, I'm Harper! I'm a sweet middle-aged girl who's ready to find a home where life can be simple, peaceful, and full of love. I came to the shelter as a stray, so my past is a bit of a mystery, but I know my future is going to be bright with the right family. I'm not one for nonstop excitement or adventure. I'd much rather spend my days enjoying gentle pets, lounging by your side, and taking the occasional leisurely walk. I'm happiest when life is calm, and I'll gladly be your quiet companion through it all. I could stand to lose a few pounds, so I'll need a family that's willing to help me get back to a healthier weight with some regular walks and a balanced diet. It may take a little extra TLC, but I promise I'm worth every bit of it. I get along well with other dogs and children of all ages, so I'd fit right into many different types of families. If you're looking for a kind, affectionate companion who will be happy just sharing life's quieter moments with you, I think we could be the perfect match. I can't wait to find my forever home! Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: White Weight: 46.4 Age: 7yrs 0mths 2wks

Adopt a Pet from Mutt Life! Looking to add a furry friend to your family? At Mutt Life Rescue of Wisconsin, we have loving pets waiting for their forever homes. Explore our adoptable animals and find your perfect match today! For the latest updates on the mutts, follow us on Facebook: @muttlifewi Visit our website: Muttlife.org __________ Beckett made the journey from Georgia to Wisconsin with Mutt Life Dog Rescue and has into his foster home. When Beckett was found as a stray in rural Georgia, the world was a scary place. While all of his siblings have found forever homes, Beckett is still waiting for someone to see the incredible dog he’s become. The best part? He’s made amazing progress in his Wisconsin foster home. After a difficult start in life and a long trip north, he has begun to build confidence, and experience the comfort and stability of a home environment. Beckett is potty trained, crate trained, wonderful with other dogs, and gentle with kids. He loves spending time outside and is finally discovering that treats are worth getting excited about. Like many rescue dogs, Beckett takes a moment to warm up to new people and places. He is timid however, give him a little patience and consistency, and his sweet, playful personality starts to shine. Once he feels safe, he’s affectionate, gentle, and a joy to have around. A home with a predictable routine will help him continue building confidence as he settles in. Beckett would also do great with a canine companion to help build his confidence. Age: 1 year Gender: Male Weight: Approximately 40 lbs Breed: Border Collie/Retriever Mix (best guess) Neutered: Yes Potty Trained: Yes Crate Trained: Yes Leash Manners: Good Good with Dogs: Excellent Good with Cats: Likely Good with Kids: Yes Beckett has waited long enough. He’s ready for a family who will give him a chance to settle in and discover what his foster family already knows - that he’s an incredibly sweet boy with so much love to give. To learn more about Beckett or apply to adopt, visit www.muttlife.org. __________ Adoption fees include the cost of spay/neuter procedure, up to date dewormer, vaccinations, and heart worm prevention (age appropriate). Home Visit: After the adoption process we conduct a home visit either in person or via zoom meeting to ensure that everything is going well with the transition and to answer any final questions you may have. 6.)
