Story
Hey everyone! I'm Lakelyn, the cutest little pup you ever did see! With one stunning blue eye and a heart full of love, I'm just a tiny bundle of joy ready to find my forever home. You see, I may be small, but I've got big dreams— I belong in a cozy place with a family to call my own. I need a FOSTER or an ADOPTER by 4/26, can you help me? Life here in the Georgia shelter is okay, but it's not where I belong. I dream of feeling the grass under my paws and playing with kids who'll give me all the love and attention I crave. That's why I'm wagging my tail extra hard at the thought of heading to "Homeward Bound" in Wisconsin! So, if you're looking for a sweet baby to brighten up your days and fill your home with laughter, the let the people at the rescue know you can foster me- so I can make the journey to Wisconsin! Hurry, before it’s too late! Or even better- will you be my FOREVER family? FEE INCLUDES: Adopting an adult dog (6 months or older) includes spaying/neutering, vaccinations, deworming, flea & tick prevention, heartworm testing, and microchipping. For dogs under 6 months, they receive age-appropriate vaccinations, deworming, flea/tick prevention, and microchipping. All dogs are spayed/neutered by 6 months, covered within the adoption fee. The procedure must be done at one of our partner clinics. To begin the adoption process, please submit an application on our website: www.hbwi.org/adopt. Once approved, you'll have the opportunity to meet our available dogs. Following the meeting, you can initiate a 5-day Adoption Trial, allowing you to take the dog home. This trial period is designed to ensure the dog is a match for you and aligns with your lifestyle. After the 5-day trial, if all goes well, the adoption will be finalized. Additionally, we require a home visit once the dog is settled in its new home to ensure a smooth transition for both the dog and the adopter.

Puppies are magnificent! I am cute, rambunctious, lively and fun. I have so much to learn, discover and explore - just a tiny sponge who is ready to absorb everything you have to teach me and show me. I am counting on you to help me safely navigate the world and experience new things each day to allow me to grow into a confident young dog. That isn't as exotic and daunting a task as it might sound. Each day I just need to be introduced to one new thing like the sound of a vacuum, a blender or a door bell, walking up and down a step, a ride in a car, hearing a motorcycle or a truck, going somewhere to see new people, even maneuvering a fallen log on a walk. You get the idea, so many things that seem common to you are completely new to me. Speaking of growing, I may be tiny now but I do plan on getting bigger so I would love to take obedience classes to learn proper manners and social skills. I also know I have to practice something called house-training so I know proper potty behavior. A routine and lots of yummy treats and praise will go a long way to helping me master house-training when I potty outside. Puppies and dogs need love, exercise, mental stimulation and consistency to be healthy, happy and confident. I am typically very open to all sorts of housemates; I can be a bit mischievous and may find any other critter as a potential playmate so they will need to understand that about me. I often explore the world with my mouth and while I am teething I like to chew; my little puppy teeth are very sharp so if I am around children we should always be supervised. It is important that children learn about respecting me, too, and treat me gently because I am fragile. Raising a puppy is a big responsibility, a lot of work, and it may interrupt your sleep cycle for a bit, but a courteous and well-behaved dog is certainly worth the investment and I promise to be loyal, love you unconditionally and be a companion forever. I just know I will bring joy and laughter into your home and cannot wait to meet you. Let the adventures begin!

Story
Are you looking for a sweet and fun loving dog? Then Ella is your girl! Ella is super friendly, happy, and always up for playing outside or snuggling. When Ella first entered our care, she had a bad case of "happy tail." Happy tail is when a dog wags their tail so often and vigorously, it injures the tail. But no worries, she's all healed up now and verified as a happy tail kind of dog. Ella is also a very smart girl and already knowing some basic tricks. Ella absolutely loves to play ball and gets the zoomies with excitement for play time in the yard. Ella seems to love all people and enjoys being around others. She previously lived with children and would love a family of her own again. Ella loves playing with other dogs and making friends. Her favorite thing is to play chase with other dogs. Please fill out an application to meet our sweet and happy Ella! She can't wait to meet you. Please note:- Our website (www.neenahanimalshelter.org) is updated in real time, so we are accepting applications for all animals that are currently listed.-Applications can be downloaded from our website. (http://neenahanimalshelter.org/how-to-adopt.html)- Our shelter no longer has open visiting hours, so a pre-approved application and scheduled appointment is needed prior to meeting any of our animals
