For the latest updates on the mutts, follow us on Facebook: @muttlifewi Visit our website: Muttlife.org __________ RUSTY- AVAILABLE TO FOSTER OR ADOPT 3/14/26 Rusty is currently in a southern kill shelter and needs a foster or adopter to secure his spot on the transport to Cedarburg, WI with Mutt Life Dog Rescue on Saturday, March 14. A committed home is required for him to make the trip, and we’re hopeful the right person is out there to give him the fresh start he deserves. Meet Rusty Rusty is an approximately 1–2-year-old Australian Shepherd mix who is ready for a second chance. He was heartbreakingly found abandoned in a hotel room by his previous owner, left alone for days with no food or water. After being discovered, animal control picked him up, and he is now sitting in a kill shelter where he is at risk of euthanasia if he isn’t tagged for rescue. Despite everything he has been through, Rusty is incredibly sweet and friendly. He enjoys being around people and has a gentle, loving personality. Rusty has tested friendly with dogs and kids, making him a great fit for many family environments. He has not yet been tested with cats. Rusty likely has lived in a home before and may already be potty trained, though we can’t say for certain. He does walk well on the leash! Because his past is largely unknown, he may need some refreshers with crate training and home life as he settles into a new routine. At around 45 pounds, Rusty is a great medium size and would love a home where he can go for walks, learn new things, and finally feel safe. Rusty has already endured so much, but he remains a loving, resilient dog who just wants a person to call his own. With a foster or adopter in place, he can travel north on Saturday, March 14 and begin the next chapter of his life. Age: Approx. 1–2 years Gender: Male Weight: 45 lbs Breed: Australian Shepherd mix Spayed/Neutered: Not yet Potty Trained: Likely, but unsure Crate Trained: Unsure Leash Manners: Good Good with Dogs: Yes Good with Cats: Not tested Good with Kids: Yes Rusty urgently needs a foster or adopter to make it out of the shelter alive and secure his chance to travel north. For the latest updates on the mutts, follow us on Facebook: @muttlifewi Visit our website: Muttlife.org __________ Molly Is Safe in Wisconsin – Now Looking for Her Forever Home Molly’s story didn’t start out easy. She was previously in a very poor situation in Arkansas and came to us in rough shape — very dirty, with old wounds on her ears, and appearing to have had several litters of puppies. Based on her condition and history, it is likely she was used as a breeder dog for GSP puppies and discarded when she was no longer wanted. Despite everything she has been through, Molly is incredibly sweet, gentle, and resilient. Molly is listed as 4 years old on her paperwork and weighs about 50 pounds. She is heartworm negative and scheduled to be spayed soon. She is on the lower-energy side and has a calm, easygoing temperament. Molly is extremely loyal to her people and forms strong bonds. As she continues to feel safe, she is really coming out of her shell — becoming a little goofy and starting to play. Molly gets along well with other dogs, though she does not appreciate overly obnoxious or pushy dogs. She especially likes smaller dogs and puppies. She has done well at the dog park and at meet-and-greet events with lots of other dogs. She is not leash reactive, walks nicely on leash, and is very chill on outings. Molly is potty trained, crate trained, and understands household routines. She knows to ring the bell at the door when she needs to go outside. She settles nicely in her crate and has wonderful house manners. Age: about 4 years Gender: Female Weight: 50 lbs Breed: Pointer mix (best guess) Spayed: Scheduled soon Potty Trained: Yes (uses bell at door) Crate Trained: Yes Leash Manners: Good Good with Dogs: Yes Good with Cats: Not tested yet Good with Kids: yes Molly doesn’t need perfection — she needs stability, patience, and a family who will never give up on her again. In return, she will offer loyalty, affection, and steady companionship. She truly is a wonderful dog who deserves the very best next chapter. If you’re interested in adopting Molly, please apply today at www.muttlife.org Adoption fees include the cost of spay/neuter procedure, up to date dewormer, vaccinations, and heartworm prevention (age appropriate). A committed home is required for him to make the trip, and we’re hopeful the right person is out there. Meet Seth Seth is a 1-year-old Aussie mix who is ready for a fresh start. He was originally found as a stray and ended up at a small rural shelter in Arkansas where intakes are far higher than adoption rates and kennels fill quickly. Thankfully, he is now safe in a foster home while he waits for his chance to head north and find a forever family. Seth is a sweet, gentle boy who enjoys being around people. He can be a little shy when first meeting someone new, but he warms up quickly and shows his loving personality. Once he feels comfortable, he’s a very good boy who enjoys companionship and being part of the action. He does well with other dogs and is good with kids. He hasn’t been around cats yet, so that is currently unknown. Seth is house trained and crate trained, which will help make his transition into a new home much easier. He is also working on improving his leash manners. Seth is fully vetted and neutered, and at about 40 lbs he is a great medium size.
