The woman who found her was moving & could not take Petunia along. This beautiful girl had nowhere to go! Our rescue partners spent the week saving as many dogs as they could and Petunia is one of the lucky ones! This sweetheart is playful and young, she will need an active family who will let her be a part of their adventures and cuddle on the couch and in bed! She gets along great with other dogs and kids! Plus she’s already housebroken and crate trained! She wants a loving and warm home that will be her new forever!   Adoption Fee: $550We are a Wisconsin state licensed dog rescue -WI# 402433   ***We do not have a central adoption center at this time. Our Weight Classes are as follows: 0- 25lbs - Small 26- 45lbs - Medium 46-89 - Large 90+ X-large If you are adopting an adult dog, which we consider 6 months of age or older, your adoption fee includes the following: Spay/Neuter, Rabies and Distemper shots, dewormed, flea & tick preventative, heartworm tested and microchipped. If you are adopting a dog younger than 6 months of age, the dog will be up to date on the shots as per the dogs age. The dog will be dewormed, flea/tick preventative and microchipped. We only spay/neuter our dogs once they're at least 6 months old. If you decide to adopt a younger dog than 6 months, they will need to be spayed/neutered by your veterinarian when they are between 6 to 8 months old. Proof that the spay/neuter has been completed will need to be submitted to Tailwaggers911. Once proof of the spay/neuter has been received, we will refund $100 of your adoption fee via Venmo, PayPal or have a check in the mail within 15 days. Once you are approved with our rescue, you can meet any one of our dogs within the fosters home. If you are interested in the dog you met, you can take the dog home under our mandatory foster to adopt program. You receive 5 days to see if the dog is the right fit for your home. If it is, we will conduct the home visit and finalize adoption. If it is not, it is returned to the foster. We are happy to find you another dog that meets your needs in your home. If a dog is listed as ADOPTION IN PROCESS, a family has met the dog and planning on adopting the dog after the home visit has been conducted. We always suggest sending in an application for a dog because there are times where the dogs are given back to us under the foster to adopt program. There are many reasons dogs are returned but normally it just was not the right fit for all. Please go to WWW.TAILWAGGERS911.COM under HOW TO ADOPT . Story
Meet Jillian! This charming blue merle girl will melt your heart with her bubbly personality and beauty! Jillian loves meeting new people and treats every person as if they were her long lost friend. She loves following her foster family around the house, snuggling with them, or napping at their feet. Outdoors, she enjoys playing tag with her male BC foster brother, but she does not like to interact with the foster family's female dog, so she would be best in a house as an only dog or with a male. Jillian knows basic commands such as sit, down, and shake, and she is learning to be crate trained. She is very food motivated and loves getting her reward treats! Jillian does well on leash when heeling and is enjoying her daily trail adventures with her foster family. She can pull when excited by other dogs or prey animals, and her foster family is working on this through recall practice with treats. She has a strong prey drive and some herding tendencies, so she will do best in a home with no small children or cats. Jillian is current on vaccinations and is spayed. Keep an eye out for updates as her foster home gets to know more about her! Location: Madison Area Please Visit Jillian and her friends on our website https://www.midwestbordercollierescue.org/alldogs

Story
I am Molly. I came into the MWBCR 1/17 after being found down south roaming the great outdoors. I am a shy and nervous girl but once we get to know each other I open up and bond quickly with my person. I do bark at noises that startle me and when people come home until I know everything is okay. In true Border Collie fashion I am eager to please and learn the life of a dog. Toys are something I am unfamiliar with, my foster mom is working on enrichment activities to introduce toys and balls. I am very treat motivated though and have learned some basic commands already such as sit, down, paw and sit pretty! In my day to day I am very happy to be at your feet, relaxing and love to run and play in the back yard. I don't understand how to fetch a ball or what you are supposed to do with that - my foster mom keeps throwing it but I don't understand the excitement in running after it. I am doing quite well potty training and am already crate trained, I enjoy my crate and stay quiet until you are ready to start the day! Molly is very nervous around strangers, a bit more timid with men and men with hats on. She will bark and cower until she knows that she is safe and seeks confirmation from her person (AKA Foster mom) that everything is okay, once she does she will relax. Her ideal home is quietand with someone who can help Molly build her confidence, independence and learn that playing is in fact fun! Location: Waukesha, Wisconsin Contact: team@midwestbordercollierescue.org Please Visit Molly and her friends on our website https://www.midwestbordercollierescue.org/alldogs
