Fame is a 1–2 year old Terri-Poo (Terrier/Poodle mix) who came to DPS from the shelter along with his brother, Fortune. He weighs 17 lbs. This happy, affectionate boy has quickly settled into home life and shows off the perfect mix of playfulness and sweetness every day. Fame’s mornings start around 7am with breakfast, followed by a full day of fun and relaxation. He loves lounging on the couch, zooming around the yard with his foster dog buddy, and playing with toys— especially a good game of tug-of-war. When he and his canine foster sibling get going, they have the best time playing “keepaway,” taking turns chasing each other around the yard. Fame is curious about the cats in the home and would love to make them playmates, too! This slightly Velcro pup enjoys knowing what everyone’s up to and likes to be in the middle of the action, though he’s just as content snuggling up on the couch once playtime is over. He absolutely adores the family’s 11-year-old child and loves spending time with her. Fame fits right in with an active household full of laughter, movement, and companionship. He’s a very well-behaved boy who only barks when his foster brother dog does and hasn’t had any accidents since his first few days in the home. Fame will chew on shoes if left within reach, but otherwise sticks to his toys. He does pull and sometimes chew the leash on walks, so he’ll need a little continued practice there. Fame eats dinner around 6pm and happily settles in afterward, enjoying time with his people or curling up for a nap. What stands out most about him is his joyful spirit—he greets his foster with the same happiness whether it’s been 10 minutes or all day. Fame would love a home where he can be part of the daily rhythm, enjoy playtime with another friendly dog or kids, and soak up all the love and attention he so easily returns. He’s sweet, social, and ready to bring his boundless cheer to his forever family.December 1, 2025, 2:13 pm
