Story
Mutu is a sweet, 11-month-old pup who’s looking for a fresh start. He’s spent most of his young life outdoors with his furry siblings, but now he’s ready to experience all the love, warmth, and adventures that come with being part of a family. Though shy at first, Mutu has a heart full of potential—he just needs a patient, experienced human to guide him. With love, time, and gentle training, he’ll grow into a loyal and loving companion. Once he feels safe, his playful side begins to shine—especially when treats are involved! Mutu is looking for someone who understands shy pups and is excited to help him build confidence in a big, exciting world. If you’re ready to show this little guy what it means to be truly loved, he just might be the perfect addition to your family.

Story
**COURTESY REHOMING POST** JoJo is not a CACC dog. We have not met her nor evaluated her and can't attest to her health or temperament. Please use the contact information listed to reach out and learn more. Jojo is a cute 1-year-8-month-old little gal who’s searching for a place to call home. She is part of our CACC Courtesy Rehoming Program. Through no fault of her own, she finds herself in need of a new family—one with patience, kindness, and a heart ready to help her bloom. Having spent most of her young life outdoors with her furry family, Jojo is still learning about the world. She’s a very shy girl who needs an experienced and understanding person to guide her, showing her that life can be full of love, safety, and warmth. This brave little pup has already been a momma, but now it’s her turn to be cared for and cherished. Jojo may never be the life of the party, but given time, love, and gentle training, she can become a devoted and affectionate companion. She deserves a future filled with soft beds, kind hands, and a family that sees her for the wonderful little dog she is inside. She’s the perfect blend of playful and peaceful — curious about the world, yet always ready to settle in for a cozy cuddle.   Her daily routine: Vintage wakes up between 7 and 8am, enjoys a small breakfast, and heads outside to explore the yard and soak up some sun. She loves carrying her toys outside and sniffing around, then retreats to her favorite napping spot — a soft bed perched at the top of the stairs. Throughout the day, she snacks on her kibble, enjoys a midday cheese treat, and in the evening, she happily cuddles up beside you on the couch before heading to bed.   When Vintage first arrived, she was a tad bit shy, but once she settled in, her cheerful personality started to shine. She now greets every guest with a wagging tail and open heart — truly, no one is a stranger to her. She's a sweet and gentle companion who enjoys being nearby, but she’s not overly clingy. She doesn’t follow from room to room, but she does love to join you for quality cuddle time.   Vintage is learning quickly and gaining confidence. She’s nearly fully housetrained — she’ll go outside when the door is open or use a potty pad if needed. She’s getting the hang of going during walks too. At first, leashes were a bit intimidating for her, but with a little encouragement, she now enjoys her walks and loves exploring. Sometimes she even wants to stay out longer!   She’s not a barker — in fact, she’s incredibly quiet and calm, and more likely to let out a soft whine if she needs something. She’s crate-tolerant (though not her favorite), doesn’t dig or chew, and gets along well with other dogs.   What makes Vintage special?   She does an adorable army crawl during playtime and rests her little head right at your feet   She gently climbs up onto the couch instead of jumping, like the daintiest little mountaineer   She has a peaceful, happy spirit — always wagging her tail, always ready to love   She’s playful without being overly energetic, and cuddly without being clingy   Ideal home: Vintage would thrive in a loving home where her people will continue her training and give her plenty of affection. She’s a smart girl who’s eager to please and would love a secure space where she can relax, explore, and feel safe. Most of all, she’s looking for someone to adore — and she has so much love to give in return.   If you’re looking for a gentle, funny, and affectionate pup to share your life with, Vintage is ready to meet you and melt your heart.May 11, 2025, 8:10 pm

Story
Adoption Pending. Furguson is about 4 years old and 16 lbs. He is a nice little dog who loves hanging out with you. He gets along with other dogs but doesn't want to play with them. He would love to be an only dog if you do not work a full workday and would need a canine companion for him if you do. Furgus is a people dog and gets along with men and women but he lights up when he sees a man. No young children should be in the home where he lives because he has no patience with them. He is a sweet and good-natured fellow who can also be very vocal when he wants and has much to say. A perfect day for him is a stroll through the backyard, walking, riding in the car, or just sitting in his bed next to you or on the chair where you sit. He is not interested in toys at all. Furgus sleeps all night in his bed and is house-trained. He is a loving dog who needs to be in a quiet home where he can let his hair down. We do not know how he would be with cats in the home. Furgus is being fostered in San Francisco. His adoption fee is $275.00. Please contact us for more info or an application to adopt at dogzonerescue@yahoo.com Arrangements to meet our dogs occur after an application has been received.
