Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hi, I’m Alexis I’m a sweet little Border Terrier mix who somehow found myself wandering through a neighborhood all alone, looking a bit lost and hoping someone would help me. Thankfully, kind people brought me to safety, and now I’m ready to find a forever home where I’ll never have to wonder where I belong again. I was born around 5/6/2025 and weigh about 20 pounds — just the perfect size to tag along wherever you go. I absolutely adore people and always want to be close to my humans. If you’re sitting down, there’s a good chance I’ll want to sit nearby too. I’m a very loving girl with a gentle personality. I can be a little jumpy at times, so older kids would probably be best for me. I also seem to be pretty quiet overall and don’t spend my time barking in my kennel. I’m mostly potty trained, though like any dog, I may need a little patience and consistency while adjusting to a new home and routine. One important thing to know about me: I am a fence climber, so I will need a secure, properly fenced backyard to keep me safe. I’m curious and adventurous. I’m spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, 4DX negative, and current on ProHeart 12 and Bravecto — all ready for my next chapter. Adoption fee: $400 Apply at: www.adoggie4you.org Alexis is currently in Texas but can be transported to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cincinnati, Lexington, Kentucky, and locations along the East Coast for an additional $225 transport fee. Please note that transport is not available to Rhode Island or Massachusetts due to state regulations.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 8, 2026, 5:23 pm

Story
*Name: Scruffy *Age: 3 years old *Current Weight: 16lbs  *Rescued from: Georgia  *Adoption fee: $475  (plus $150 spay/neuter deposit, see below for more information) Meet Scruffy! Look at this scruffy little face... how could you not fall in love?  Scruffy may be a little bit shy at first, but you can't blame him, he hasn't had the chance to learn that the world isn't a big scary place yet.  Scruffy was recently taken in by Animal Control and landed himself in an overcrowded shelter in rural Georgia after being confiscated in a hoarding situation. Thankfully, he wasn't in too bad shape, especially compared to the other dogs who were living beside him, and thanks to our rescue partners he's ready to get a fresh start.  If you give this little guy a chance, you're sure to see his adorable personality shine through, with tail wags, body wiggles, and gentle, hopeful eyes. He's just looking for his person or forever family to help give him comfort, stability and love. In return, he'll gladly give you companionship, understanding, and unconditional love.  Are you willing to help Scruffy get his second chance?  IMPORTANT: This dog has not yet been altered. SNARR requires a $150 deposit in addition to your adoption fee, as well as a strictly enforced Spay/Neuter Contract stating you will have this dog altered within 6 months of adoption. The $150 deposit will be returned once the contract has been fulfilled. To apply to adopt, fill out an application at https://snarrnortheast.org/adopt/ PLEASE CLICK HERE FOR FAQs  ##2746917##
