He’s quite a loving boy overall and would love to be your family dog!!! Can’t you see that in his eyes? He’s ready for a loving family! He’s ready to love you! Story
Hi! My name is Jake, and I’m looking for my forever home! I’m a little terrier mix, around 2 years old and under 15 pounds—and I may be small, but my personality is HUGE! I was found wandering down a deserted rural road by a very kind lady who actually oversaw a dog prison program. She brought me there while she tried to find my owner, and while I was there, I learned some pretty cool stuff! Unfortunately, she couldn’t find where I belonged, so she contacted BCAA to see if they could help me. They said YES! I’m a total people dog. I LOVE everyone I meet, and apparently my funny little personality makes everyone smile. I especially love being held, giving kisses, and being right in the middle of whatever is happening. Now, I should probably warn you about one tiny detail… I have a little bit of little-man syndrome. I’m perfectly happy with dogs around my size, but when I see a much bigger dog, I like to make sure they know I have some things to say! I can be a bit of a barker toward the big guys, so I’d do best with canine friends who are closer to my size.I’ve done well with the small dogs I’ve met and have shown some interest in cats. I’m also good in my crate and haven’t had any accidents or destroyed my bedding. Although, if I hear or see you, I may remind you that I would much rather be OUT with you. Because obviously, being included is very important. I’m also good on leash and LOVE going on adventures! If you’re looking for a small dog with a big personality, a goofy sense of humor, lots of love, and plenty of kisses to give, Jake might be your guy!Apply to meet me at bcaaofnj.org!  Interested in adopting this pet?Click here for BCAA's on-line Application! PLEASE NOTE: Our adoption fee helps to cover our expenses and includes all shots, *age appropriate*, distemper and rabies, fecal check, spay/neuter, heartworm test, grooming, and in many cases dental and also the fee we pay when we rescue from a shelter.
