We know shy dogs can sometimes scare people off. We get it—you’re hoping for that love-at-first-sight moment, the dog who runs up and “chooses” you right away. What many people don’t realize is that shy dogs are just like us. They need love, connection, trust, and reassurance that their person has their back. Once they feel safe, they blossom into the loyal, loving companions people dream of—often forming an unbreakable bond that lasts a lifetime.
Echo is a gentle soul searching for a patient heart to call her own. She can be nervous at first and needs time to feel comfortable, but once she feels secure, her loving personality truly begins to shine.
Echo would thrive in a calm, understanding home with people willing to give her the time and space she needs to build trust. New and unfamiliar situations can feel overwhelming for her, and she can be especially intimidated by men at first. A quiet environment with a predictable routine—and adopters who understand that trust may take time—would be ideal. With patience, kindness, and consistency, we’ve already seen Echo blossom into an incredibly affectionate girl.
Her eyes light up when her people enter the room, and once she’s comfortable, she becomes delightfully rambunctious—craving attention, pets, and belly rubs. She enjoys playful moments with other dogs her size that she’s been paired with at the rescue, but it’s her connection with people that brings her the most joy.
Echo is currently working on her leash training and will do best with someone who is patient and willing to continue helping her build confidence at her own pace.
Echo is so deserving of a forever family—one who will see her for the beautiful soul she is and give her the chance she needs to shine. Come meet this sweet girl soon.
(Adoption fee includes spay/neuter surgery, age-appropriate current vaccines, microchip, and preventative flea treatment.)
