Story
Dante will be 2 years old in April. He is a purebred bordoodle from mountain rose bordoodles in Utah. He is hypoallergenic. He suffers from hydrocephalus of the brain. Due to his hydrocephalus he will suffer from seizures the rest of his life when over stimulated. He is also blind in his left eye. We have spent the past year working with some of the best neurologists in Colorado, and have found a medication regiment that really works. He truly is an amazing and sweet dog, it breaks our hearts to have to put him up for adoption. We have a toddler that has way too much energy around him, that can sometimes cause a seizure. We also have another baby on the way and fear that would just add to his over stimulation. He has never bitten anyone, but you can tell he gets uncomfortable when the energy gets high. He will do better in a home with undivided attention and love. He is great with others dogs, we have two other ones. Just wants to snuggle

Adoption Fee: $475 When available, all animals are fixed in accordance with Colorado law, up to date on vaccines (may need boosters), and microchipped! What we know: Came from shelter in Guymon, OK. Was shot with buckshot and taken to the vet to have bullets removed, owner never came to pick her back up so she was brought to the shelter and ended up on the euthanasia list for being too high energy and due to the length of stay at the shelter. *Was perviously a working dog, needs a home that is very active or has a job for her.* From the foster: Hi! I’m Lola! Lo-Lo-Lo-Lo-Lola I’m a sensitive, highly intelligent working dog who’s learning that the world can be a safe and rewarding place. When we first meet, I might seem shy or cautious. New people, unfamiliar places, or sudden movements can make me want to take a step back. I do best when I’m given kindness, patience, consistency, and gentle guidance. Once I start to feel safe, I relax and let my true, silly personality shine! I love to be active. Going on walks, runs (even rollerblading beside you)and going to dog friendly stores; most anything you can do I can do too! I really enjoy problem-solving and having a “job” to do—it helps me feel confident and fulfilled. I may not be the kind of dog who offers instant affection—but if you’re willing to put in the time, I promise the reward is worth it. Watching me grow more confident and trusting is something truly special, and the bond we’ll build together will be deep and unbreakable! www.coloradopuppy.org/how-to-adopt

Adoption Fee: $475 When available, all animals are fixed in accordance with Colorado law, up to date on vaccines (may need boosters), and microchipped! What we know: Patrice was transferred to Colorado Puppy Rescue from Española Humane (New Mexico). She arrived with the name “Patrice.” Per partner shelter notes, Patrice was found as a stray outside of a laundromat at approximately 5 weeks of age and was brought to Española Humane. She remained in foster care through the shelter until transfer to CPR at approximately 11 weeks old. From the foster: Your Princess awaits! This high energy sweet girl is ready to be your shadow. She loves to follow us around and explore. She loves to be outside (no matter how cold her foster mom is). She loves to play with all toys and favors being with my 2 boys the most. She is doing well with potty training and goes to the door to alert a lot. She has slept through the night in her kennel since day 1. She learned the stairs very quickly and is learning new tricks. She didn't start off snuggly but is definitely becoming a snuggle bug, especially right after a bath. She loves running around the fenced backyard! I feel like she will love to explore on walks and hikes once she's fully vaccinated. www.coloradopuppy.org/how-to-adopt
