Story
Dante will be 2 years old in April. He is a purebred bordoodle from mountain rose bordoodles in Utah. He is hypoallergenic. He suffers from hydrocephalus of the brain. Due to his hydrocephalus he will suffer from seizures the rest of his life when over stimulated. He is also blind in his left eye. We have spent the past year working with some of the best neurologists in Colorado, and have found a medication regiment that really works. He truly is an amazing and sweet dog, it breaks our hearts to have to put him up for adoption. We have a toddler that has way too much energy around him, that can sometimes cause a seizure. We also have another baby on the way and fear that would just add to his over stimulation. He has never bitten anyone, but you can tell he gets uncomfortable when the energy gets high. He will do better in a home with undivided attention and love. He is great with others dogs, we have two other ones. Just wants to snuggle

Story
Meet Peter! Peter is a small, white Mini Schnauzer mix with a lot of personality packed into his little frame. Rescued from the shelter just in time, Peter has been given a second chance at life, and now we’re looking for his perfect forever home. Peter’s ideal adopter is an experienced dog owner who understands that some dogs need a little extra care and patience. Peter has shown some bite tendencies, and while we’re working with a trainer to understand his triggers, it’s important to be mindful of his boundaries. He doesn’t like being picked up and prefers not to be pet unless he comes to you first. When he feels safe and comfortable, Peter can be snuggly and affectionate—but it’s always on his terms. He is good with other dogs, so a canine companion could be a great fit for him. However, because of his biting history, Peter should not be in a home with children. Peter isn’t just a dog—he’s a work in progress who needs someone willing to invest time, patience, and love into helping him thrive. In the right home, Peter’s personality will shine, and he’ll reward you with loyalty and companionship. If you’re the experienced, patient adopter Peter needs, please fill out an application on our website. Peter is waiting for someone to see the good dog he truly is and help him live his best life. Once he warms up, Peter is incredibly affectionate and loyal. He would do best in a quiet household with adults or older children who understand his need for patience and kindness. If you’re looking for a sweet, devoted companion, Peter is ready to meet you and start a new chapter in his life!

Story
Meet Chester! Chester is a beautiful sheepadoodle that we just rescued from a high kill shelter. Chester loves his people friends very much and was so happy to get a haircut after leaving the shelter in 1 big mat. As is typical for his breed, Chester is a very smart boy which can sometimes veer into being high strung. Therefore, he needs someone patient that can guide him through the next steps of his life and help mold him into the amazing dog we know he can be!

Sweet like pie, meet Professor McGonagall. At 12 years old, she was ecstatic to have an adopter lined up at the infamous Apple Valley high kill shelter. But when the adopter never showed up, she was heartbroken. Left on the urgent high kill list, we rescued Professor McGonagall because we believe every dog deserves another chance at finding their forever home. She is a mini poodle mix who loves spending time with you, whether you are going on a stroll or cuddling up with a good book.
