A foster-to-adopt option is available for me, giving us the chance to get to know each other before making it official! Meet Paxton! This 9-year-old miniature poodle is a senior with plenty of personality. He can sometimes show a bit of attitude, so we recommend a home without small children. Paxton enjoys walks on a leash but would thrive with a small, dog-approved fenced yard where he can safely explore and stretch his legs. He gets along well with other dogs and would make a wonderful companion for the right family. Paxton weighs 8lbs. and is approximately 9 years old (est. birth date 01/29/2016). Paxton has been neutered, is up to date on all vaccinations & preventatives, and is microchipped. Paxton's adoption fee is $85. After submitting a survey, an adoption counselor will contact you to give you more information about the dog you are interested in adopting and to arrange for you to meet. Thank you for your interest in one of our Hero Babies! Before inquiring, we thought it was important to share a few of our policies. Puppies - We do not adopt puppies under 16 weeks to out of state adopters. This is due to our spay/neuter policy, and all dogs must be spayed/neutered before leaving Georgia state lines. We do not adopt siblings to the same household. Your Current Pets - We do require that your current dogs and cats are current on vaccines and spayed/neutered. Adoptions - We do not have a shelter and are a foster-home based organization. We do require that you have an approved adoption application to schedule a meet and greet. You can fill out an adoption application on our website, www.herorescue.org/adopt. Once your application is approved it will be sent to the foster family that is currently caring for the dog. They will be able to provide information on likes, dislikes, personality, etc. They will also schedule a time for you to meet the dog. We do require a home visit prior to adoption. Pepper is a 1-year-old poodle mix with a sweet heart and a playful spirit, weighing in at about 45 lbs. This handsome guy is full of love and always ready to make new friends—especially if snacks are involved! Pepper walks nicely on a leash and enjoys getting out and about. He can be a bit alert on walks, but he does great with gentle guidance. He absolutely loves to play and has a fun, goofy side that shines once he’s comfortable. Pepper also enjoys the company of other dogs, though he can be a little possessive of his toys or food, so supervised play and clear boundaries are important. Pepper would do best in a home ready to continue his training, give him plenty of playtime, and keep the treats coming. If you’re looking for a sweet, playful companion with lots of personality, Pepper might just be your perfect match! Pepper currently weighs about 45 lbs., is approximately 1 year old (est. birth date 02/02/2025), and his adoption fee is $510. Pepper has been neutered, is up to date on all vaccinations & preventatives, and is microchipped.
