** If you are interested in adopting Henry, please fill out our adoption application at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/ ** Meet Henry! Henry is a joyful little guy with a big heart and a bounce in his step! This 1-year-old Boston Terrier / Chihuahua mix weighs just 19 pounds but brings a whole lot of love and personality wherever he goes. Henry had been with his person since he was just six months old. She initially took him in to dogsit, but his original owner never returned. So, she gave Henry a home and loved him deeply for the next six months. However, she was disabled, couldn't walk him, and in her later 70's and it became clear that she could no longer keep up with Henry’s youthful energy and playful spirit. With a heavy heart and through tears, she made the difficult decision to surrender him to a shelter in New Mexico, hoping he could find a new home where he would truly thrive. From Henry's foster: * * * * "Henry is potty trained, loves toys (especially anything that squeaks!), and enjoys a good game of fetch or a cozy cuddle on the couch. Henry "sits pretty" when you have a treat or food, and it's so cute!! Incase anyone doesn't know, that's when a dog stands on their back legs for a treat. Henry is friendly, affectionate, and gets along great with both people and other dogs. He acts like he's a tough guy when he sees another dog from afar, (like one walking past our yard) but once he gets close to them he makes friends with the new dog. Henry is still learning to walk on leash, as he wasn’t able to go on many walks in his former home. He’ll need a securely fenced yard—this boy is smart and curious and will find his way out if given the chance. Do NOT EVER leave him unattended in the yard!! He needs a home that does not use a doggy door and won't just stick him out in the yard alone. He loves his people and doesn't want to be an outside dog. If you're looking for a cheerful, playful guy with tons of heart, Henry just might be your perfect match." * * * * Farfel's Rescue and our New Mexico rescue partners would love to see Henry in a home with an individual, couple, or active retirees who have the time and love for a very loyal and sweet dog. We'd hate to see him left alone all day while his family works full-time outside of the home, as he is much too social for that type of arrangement. We'd like to place Henry in a home where he'll get consistent stimulation, exercise and love. A (virtual or in-person) positive reinforcement group training class promotes great behavior, bonding and confidence for a young guy whose self-esteem will fly high while he masters his skills. Training is so important in the future behaviors of every dog. It's for this reason that we're unwilling to adopt to a family that doesn't make this loving choice. Farfel's is happy to provide a list of both in-person and virtual positive reinforcement / force- free trainers in your area. Henry has been fully vetted, he is in great health, up to date on his vaccines, and neutered. Farfel's Rescue is a fully foster based rescue, and offers a one week trial with every adoption. We feel that this is much more beneficial to not only the dog, but the adopter too. We believe that only getting 20-30 minutes with a dog before deciding on a lifetime commitment is not a fair amount of time to the adopter, or the dog. Therefore we give adopters one week with the dog to assure it is the right fit, and offer a full refund of their adoption fee should it not workout within the week trial. Farfel's Rescue has been doing adoptions this way since 2005 and is thrilled to adopt out ~400 dogs each year. If you are interested in adopting from us, please be sure to fill out our adoption application at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/ . **PLEASE NOTE** If you're truly interested in adopting from us, please be sure to fill out our Farfel's Rescue adoption application.

Shelter visiting hours are 12 pm to 4 pm - Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays Please fill out an adoption application at mamcorescue.org or attend one of our Saturday adoption event. Events are held each Saturday from 12 pm to 5 pm at our office: 2721 W Oxford Ave., Suite 6 Englewood, CO 80110 *In order to protect our puppies, we do not allow puppies to attend open events until they have a minimum of two vaccinations. Puppies who are available, but not listed on our weekly Facebook event, are considered "deposit only" puppies. These puppies will only attend the event IF they are reserved through a deposit. You can check the list of puppies attending the open event by checking the event: https://www.facebook.com/MAMCORescue  At MAMCO we understand that in order to continue rescuing moms and babies, we must stretch our finances as far as we are able. For this reason we use variable adoption pricing. By assigning higher adoption fees to high demand moms and puppies, we are able to rescue more families in need. The money raised through these adoptions acts as a benefactor to moms and puppies in our care who require expensive veterinary treatments, have behavioral issues, or need more time to find a home. We often reduce the adoption fees on these harder-to-place moms and puppies to help them find forever families. Adoption fees vary. Applications can be filled out at mamcorescue.org. Unless otherwise stated, all of our dogs are mixed breeds. We never guarantee the size, breed, or temperment of any of our puppies.  ##2229400##

Story
Hi, I am Zeus Bruce. I am a super happy, energetic, playful and loving pup looking for a home. I love to play with toys, cuddle, run around the yard and eat tasty treats. I used to live with cats so I can go to a home that has kitties. I was fearful when I first came to the shelter and I am sensitive around my chest so I need a home without kids under 12 so I can warm up quickly and at my own pace. I do like to play with other dogs but I can be selective about my dog friends and I do not like to share my people so I need a home as your only pup. I would love to meet you, warm up, show you my super playful side then become best friends.

Story
Hi there, I'm Bang! I'm just a puppy, full of energy and curiosity. My days are spent exploring my surroundings, sniffing out new scents, and playing with my brothers, Bing and Bong. We're quite the trio! I love making new friends, both human and canine. My goofy nature and playful antics will keep you entertained for hours. I'm always ready for a game of fetch or a good belly rub. I'm eager to learn and I've got so much love to give. If you're looking for a friendly, energetic companion who will bring joy and laughter into your life, I'm your pup! If you're interested in adopting me, fill out an adoption application online at www.polkcountyhumanesociety.org/adopt where you will also find a link to reserve me for an appointment. Some pets are in foster homes or may already have an appointment scheduled, so the appointment is important to make sure I will be available to meet you when you come. Polk County Humane Society is located in Bolivar, Missouri, but also makes transports to the Denver, CO, Des Moines, IA and St. Louis areas twice monthly. For potential adopters in those areas, we can do a virtual visit using FaceTime or another app. Just request an appointment using the same link, but note that you want the visit to be virtual. We will call you at the time of the visit once it is confirmed. For long distance transports to Colorado and Iowa, there is an additional $100 fee to cover the cost of the transport ($65) and a health certificate from a veterinarian ($35). For transports to St. Louis, the additional fee is $50 to help cover gas. Going that last mile home for our sweet pets! All of our pets are neutered or spayed, have vaccinations appropriate for their age, treated with flea/tick/heartworm prevention, dewormed and dogs are also microchipped. #adoptdontshop ##2352756##

Story
Hi. My name is Poppy, and I am a Pug/Chihuahua mix.  I am 14 months old, weigh about nine pounds and everyone says I am cute as a button and full of personality. I love to play, take walks, ride in the car, and snuggle. I have a lot of foster mutt siblings at my foster home. I like most of them, but one is really big. Foster mama says he weighs thirty pounds! She tells me he is very friendly, but I am not so sure of that, so I have to show him who’s boss. Foster mama says I can be protective of my favorite human around the other resident mutts. She says it's understandable because I didn't have the easiest past and so I want to make sure I keep tabs on the nice humans.  My best fit forever family or human would be a patient and loving adult or adults, maybe with another dog my size.  I like treats, lots of cuddles, and sleeping curled up with my human. I also like to go wherever my human is going. Sometimes I dash out the door in excitement, but I come back when mama calls. My new family will have to understand that I am just a little thing. The world can be scary, and I need to show how brave and fierce I am. (Mama says that is the Chihuahua in me.) If you're interested in adopting Poppy, please fill out an adoption application here: https://underdogsrescue.org/adopt-form/ Underdogs is a small volunteer-based animal rescue and we unfortunately do not have the resources to respond to phone and email inquires about our adoptable animals at this time. If you're interested in learning more or setting up a meeting with one of our animals, please complete an adoption application first. It may take up to two weeks for application review and one of our coordinators will reach out to you as soon as we are through the intitial review process. We appreciate your patience and understanding! Thank you! ##1943487##

Story
Togo is a 7MO Pug mix (we are guessing) weighing about 20lbs.  We are guessing he is going to be about 20-25lbs when full grown.  Togo was found in Kansas, abandoned with 2 other siblings in a field.  They were in a common dumping area so we know they were clearly dumped.  24 hours after finding the 3 pups we found another dog in the same area, who the shelter named Skade. We cannot say for sure, but we are guessing that Skade was their dad because they are all very similar in looks.  Togo and his two brothers, Finn and Moose are wonderful little pups.  They love to zoom around the fosters yard and rough house with each other - like all young pups.  They are very social and happy.  Togo would love to go to a home with another dog to play with and humans to snuggle and love.  He doesn't have to go a home with another dog as long as he gets good exercise and mental stimulation like all dogs do.  While we are guessing they are Pug mixes these cuties would still be great adventure buddies.  They will be the perfect size for adventures and for snuggly lap-dog days. If you are interested in adopting Togo or one of his siblings, please fill out our adoption application at brighterdaysdogrescue.com ##2300330##
