Vince is a super shy boy, he came from a hoarding situation so he’s very used to other dogs and cats, but his experience of the world has been very little so everything is a pretty daunting right now, he’s going to need a patient, quiet home that will teach him like is ok and there is nothing to be afraid of, time and patience are the key words here, a quieter home would be best, if you have a super social household with lots of people in and out or young kids that can be noisy, he’s not for you. The rewards of becoming the best friend and trusted companion for a dog like this are huge, he’s just needs someone willing to put in a little work and lots of love, it’s got to come from your heart. He has a heart murmur 1 out of 6 Adopt VINCE

This little one came from a hoarding situation, we are estimating to be somewhere between 1-2 years old. Being taken out of that situation when it’s all you’ve ever known is a bit of an adjustment, they have just gone into foster homes, and with patience they have come out of their shells and are adjusting well, into a normal life. None of the dogs were nippy, just nervous. With this in mind we would recommend no small children or hectic households. They are all used to other dogs and a confident doggy companion in the home would be great. This little one has made great progress since joining us, showing much more affection and we can tell feeling generally happier now than when they first got to us. Little shy still? Yes , but making great progress!

Story
Meet Mama, a young adult (approx. 2 years old) female Boston terrier mix, weighing about 8 lbs!  Mama is currently in TN and is expected to arrive in CT on 2/21. We are accepting applications on her now!  Mama is a sweet girl who needs time to warm up to people but once she does, she loves her people! She has done well with the other dogs in her TN foster home. She has not been cat tested, so we are unsure how she would do with cats.  She is medically up to date, peepad trained currently but should be easily housetrained if on a routine. She doesn't currently like to be crated. Apply to meet this special pup today! Click HERE for Adoption Application: pawsrescueleague.org/adopt Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable. As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs.  We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted.  As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save. We believe that ALL dogs deserve a second chance. Thank you for your support and understanding! ##2657218##

Story
This is "Onix". He is a Boston Terrier. He is 14 months old and he weighs about 13 pounds. We received a phone call from Onix's owners, a young couple, saying they never realized how much work is involved to take care of a little dog in a small apartment and they wanted to give up the dog. We wonder how much time poor Onix had to spend in his crate. How sad for Onix. Onix is a great little dog. He has a great temperament and a LOT of energy! We are looking for Onix's owner to be very familiar with and fond of Boston Terriers. You MUST own your own home preferably with a fenced in yard. ABSOLUTELY NO CONDOS. ABSOLUTELY NO APARTMENTS. Children must be 8 years old or older. Onix had his shots when he came to us. We had him neutered and tested for heartworm, which was negative. To adopt from us, you MUST have a veterinarian reference in your own name. We will not place any animal without a veterinarian reference. We get a veterinarian reference from your veterinarian which is a history of medical care administered by your veterinarian to your present or previous pet or pets. Please do not contact us if you cannot abide by our adoption rules. NO OUT OF STATE ADOPTIONS. The adoption fee for Onix is $350.00. No credit cards. If you are interested in Onix, please email us at feline55keeper@gmail.com. You can meet Onix on Saturday at Petco located at 201 Union Street in Waterbury during our adoption hours from 12:00 to 3:00. Onix will be keeping his eyes out for you! IT IS IMPORTANT THAT WE STRESS THAT IN ORDER TO ADOPT FROM US, YOU MUST HAVE A VETERINARIAN REFERENCE...NO EXCEPTIONS! .

Story
If you would like to apply to take AURORA home, click the link next to their picture, or Visit our website at Www.godogsgorescue.org and fill out an application! We look forward to hearing from you. Aurora is around 3-4 years old and Ariel is around 1-2 years old, they could even be mother and daughter. They both came from a hoarder situation and haven’t seen much of the world until now, both are a little shy but learning to trust and adjust to new experiences. We are looking for a quiet home for them, no young kids or busy noisy households, they could be adopted together or separately, but both seem to do better in the company of another dog. Aurora is slightly more shy than Ariel.
