Story
Meet Frankie! 🐾 Frankie is a 5-year-old mixed-breed sweetheart who is looking for a family to call his own. This handsome "mega mutt" has all the qualities that make a wonderful companion and family dog. Frankie is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, house trained, and crate trained. He has successfully lived with children, dogs, and cats and is known for his sweet, friendly personality. He enjoys being around his people and is happiest when he is included in everyday family life. Frankie's current family loves him dearly and has made the difficult decision to seek a new home for him due to changing family circumstances, including the demands of a growing family and multiple pets. This decision comes from a place of love and a desire to ensure Frankie receives the time, attention, and environment he deserves. Frankie is a well-mannered boy who has adapted beautifully to life in a home. He enjoys companionship, settles nicely indoors, and is already familiar with the routines that help dogs succeed in family environments. Like many dogs, he can become nervous during thunderstorms and fireworks and appreciates a safe, comforting place to relax when loud noises occur. If you're looking for a loyal companion who is already past the puppy stage and ready to become part of the family, Frankie may be the perfect match. He has so much love to give and is ready to start his next chapter with a family who will cherish him. Could Frankie be the missing piece your family has been looking for? If you are interested in learning more about Frankie, please contact SDBP CT Rescue. We would love to introduce you to this special boy.

Story
Our sweet Dixie was found as a stray on the loud and scary streets of Houston. She was brought to a high-kill shelter but was saved from euthanasia just in the nick of time. She was brought up to our foster in Salem OR, where, for the first time in her life, she was finally safe and loved. When we first met her, she was scared and unsure of the world around her. But today she is a HAPPY baby who loves playing with other dogs and soaking up all the love she can get. At first, she can be a little nervous around new humans, but with a little time and some yummy treats, she warms up pretty quickly. She is incredibly smart and highly food motivated. She learned how to walk on a leash in a single day and then how to "sit" the next day in just a couple of hours. She is a year old but still has the puppy playfulness and curiosity. She has learned to LOVE going for walks and running and playing with other dogs. But she also loves napping, chewing on her bones and snuggling on the couch. Dixie has the cutest underbite, which causes her lip to get caught on her teefs. Her nose has the slightest upturn, and her eyes are slightly turned outward. She is literally one-of-a kind, and we think she is just perfectly imperfect. She has been spayed, fully vaccinated, and microchipped. She is potty trained, leash trained, and crate trained. She is currently fostered with dogs and a cat, so we know she is good with them. Based on her docile temperament, we believe she would be perfect with kids too but may need some time to warm up before she played with them. Dixie is currently in a foster home in Salem, Oregon. She is available for meet and greets with approved applicants. Dogs like Dixie are the reason rescue matters. One chance can change everything. If you have fallen madly in love and would like to make this baby girl a part of your family, then please fill out an adoption application found at SpringBranchRescue.org or email rachel.springbranchrescue@gmail.com for more information about her. ##2735778##

Story
Rose Petal is a happy little 15 wk old, 10 pound puppy and she's ready to bring the fun to her new home. She LOVES people, enjoys playing with other dogs, and is friendly & social. If you'd like to bring this little cutie home, we'd LOVE to hear from you. This puppy Is spayed/neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, treated for all of the intestinal parasites, and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. Because intestinal parasites are cyclical, your puppy may need additional treatment once you get him/her home. This is common and nothing to be alarmed about. Puppies and dogs need to be treated periodically for parasites throughout their entire lives. Visit our website to see our weekend Events here! Pups with the designated “meet me” next to their names are in CT and ready to attend adoption events. Please check with your adoption coordinator if you are interested in a specific dog prior to coming to an event, as a dog's availability to attend can change at any time. We can not guarantee approval on site at the events, so we recommend applying ahead of time. You can apply at the event, but the application process may not be able to be completed the same day. If you are not pre-approved, you are still welcome to come and meet pups at the event! The adoption fee is $600 which includes spay/neuter, up to date vaccinations, flea/tick and heartworm preventatives, and the mandatory CT HB 5368 fee. More and more of our adopters are having fun with DNA tests on their pups. You might ask yourself why our breed guess is varying degrees of difference from the DNA tests. Most of our puppies are rescued from high kill shelters or other abandonment situations and we have no info on parents. When we rescue puppies that have no background info, we make our very best educated guess as to breed mix and age. Our guesstimate comes from years and years and years of animal welfare work and training, but our guesses won't always agree with your vet, your neighbor, your DNA test, etc. The most important thing to know about your puppy's breed mix is that most likely he/she is a Super Lovable Mutt made of many many many different breeds. If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at the Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 11 am-1 pm. An additional $100 fee will be added for any dogs picked up from the Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05. TO APPLY PLEASE GO TO www.cprdogs.com. If your application was successfully submitted you will get an automatically generated confirmation email. Please DO NOT USE the ADOPTAPET "CONTACT THIS RESCUE GROUP" form below or you may not hear from us as these often end up in spam or bouncing back. After receipt of your application, an adoption counselor will then be in touch to answer your questions about this pup, discuss the adoption process and get the ball rolling! If you have not heard from one of our volunteers within 5 days of submitting your application, please email mollibo@gmail.com.

Story
Meet Ian – Your Slightly Wonky, Totally Wonderful Adventure Buddy If you like piña coladas and getting caught in the rain… Ian might just be your perfect match. This little Boston Terrier mix lives life full throttle—zooming through the yard like he’s racing in the Indy 500, making pit stops in imaginary swamps with Shrek, and embracing every muddy, joy-filled moment along the way (bonus points if you don’t mind getting a little dirty with him). Ian is a young, playful pup with a heart as big as his personality. He came into rescue with a shattered hip that has since healed, leaving him with an adorable “wonky” gait. When he runs, his back leg sometimes flails out to the side—but it doesn’t slow him down one bit. If anything, it just makes him even more unforgettable. Personality & Play Style: Ian is a social, toy-loving goofball who thrives on fun. He always has a toy in his mouth—seriously, always. He’ll take them outside, bring them back in, and politely “check” them at the door until you hand them back. He loves playing with other dogs, especially games of chase and keep-away. After playtime, Ian enjoys winding down with his favorite toy and appreciates a little personal space during his chill time. Because of this, he’d do best with a laid-back, respectful dog companion—especially one around his size or slightly smaller who won’t bother him when he’s relaxing. Snuggles Included: Once the zoomies are out, Ian is all about couch time. He’ll curl up beside you, toy in tow, and drift off while you watch TV. The perfect mix of playful and snuggly. Communication Style (aka his signature move): Ian has the best voice—a raspy, screechy, baby pterodactyl sound that he proudly uses to let you know when he’s ready to come out of his crate or needs a potty break. It’s hilarious, endearing, and very effective. He’ll also quietly go sit by the door, so keep an eye out—he’s a good boy who just needs you to notice his polite signals. Mealtime & Care: Ian is an enthusiastic foodie, so he uses a slow feeder bowl to keep mealtime safe and comfortable. Medical Transparency: Due to his past injury, Ian has diabetes insipidus. The good news: • No injections required • Managed with oral medication twice daily • Just needs a few extra potty breaks His condition is well-managed, and he’s living a happy, active, zoomie-filled life. The Perfect Home for Ian: • An active home that enjoys play, laughter, and a little chaos • A consistent adopter who can manage his simple medical routine • A respectful dog companion—or he’d love being your one and only • Someone who appreciates a quirky, lovable personality Ian isn’t just a dog—he’s an experience. He’ll make you laugh daily, keep life interesting, and then curl up next to you like he’s always belonged there. Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)
