Story
If you are looking for the perfect-sized lap dog, look no further because Pippa is your girl! Weighing approx 42 pounds and estimated to be about 14 months old, Pippa defines the meaning of lovable, cute, happy, and cuddly when it comes to the definition of the "perfect" dog. She is learning how to walk on a leash and is doing a great job at it. She also loves all the fosters she has been introduced to. Pippa is crate-trained and housetrained. She would love to find her forever home so she can enjoy the summer with her humans. Whether it be one human or several, she will be content wherever she is. Pippa is spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. All dogs 6 month + receive a Proheart 6 injection at the time of their heartworm test. This provides heartworm prevention for 6 months from the time of that injection. This dog has tested ****** for heartworms. The adoption fee is $450 if your adoption is prepaid and final prior to your dog's arrival. An additional $50 will be charged on dogs that are adopted at an event, or foster home. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with CT HB 5368. WANT TO MEET OUR DOGS IN PERSON? Check the Events tab on cprdogs.com for all weekend adoption event info. The majority of the dogs marked as 'meet me' will be there to see you! If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at our Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 11 am-1 pm. An additional $100 fee will be added for any dogs picked up from the Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05. TO APPLY PLEASE GO TO www.cprdogs.com. If your application was successfully submitted you will get a confirmation. Please DO NOT USE the ADOPTAPET "CONTACT THIS RESCUE GROUP" form below or you may not hear from us as these often end up in spam or bouncing back. After receipt of your application, an adoption counselor will then be in touch to answer your questions about this pup, discuss the adoption process and get the ball rolling! Story
This puppy Is spayed/neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, treated for all of the intestinal parasites, and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. Because intestinal parasites are cyclical, your puppy may need additional treatment once you get him/her home. This is common and nothing to be alarmed about. Puppies and dogs need to be treated periodically for parasites throughout their entire lives. Visit our website to see our weekend Events here! Pups with the designated “meet me” next to their names are in CT and ready to attend adoption events. Please check with your adoption coordinator if you are interested in a specific dog prior to coming to an event, as a dog's availability to attend can change at any time. We can not guarantee approval on site at the events, so we recommend applying ahead of time. You can apply at the event, but the application process may not be able to be completed the same day. If you are not pre-approved, you are still welcome to come and meet pups at the event! The adoption fee is $600 which includes spay/neuter, up to date vaccinations, flea/tick and heartworm preventatives, and the mandatory CT HB 5368 fee. More and more of our adopters are having fun with DNA tests on their pups. You might ask yourself why our breed guess is varying degrees of difference from the DNA tests. Most of our puppies are rescued from high kill shelters or other abandonment situations and we have no info on parents. When we rescue puppies that have no background info, we make our very best educated guess as to breed mix and age. Our guesstimate comes from years and years and years of animal welfare work and training, but our guesses won't always agree with your vet, your neighbor, your DNA test, etc. The most important thing to know about your puppy's breed mix is that most likely he/she is a Super Lovable Mutt made of many many many different breeds. If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at the Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 11 am-1 pm. Story
This is "Onix". He is a Boston Terrier. He is 14 months old and he weighs about 13 pounds. We received a phone call from Onix's owners, a young couple, saying they never realized how much work is involved to take care of a little dog in a small apartment and they wanted to give up the dog. We wonder how much time poor Onix had to spend in his crate. How sad for Onix. Onix is a great little dog. He has a great temperament and a LOT of energy! We are looking for Onix's owner to be very familiar with and fond of Boston Terriers. You MUST own your own home preferably with a fenced in yard. ABSOLUTELY NO CONDOS. ABSOLUTELY NO APARTMENTS. Children must be 8 years old or older. Onix had his shots when he came to us. We had him neutered and tested for heartworm, which was negative. To adopt from us, you MUST have a veterinarian reference in your own name. We will not place any animal without a veterinarian reference. We get a veterinarian reference from your veterinarian which is a history of medical care administered by your veterinarian to your present or previous pet or pets. Please do not contact us if you cannot abide by our adoption rules. NO OUT OF STATE ADOPTIONS. The adoption fee for Onix is $350.00. No credit cards. If you are interested in Onix, please email us at feline55keeper@gmail.com. You can meet Onix on Saturday at Petco located at 201 Union Street in Waterbury during our adoption hours from 12:00 to 3:00. Onix will be keeping his eyes out for you! IT IS IMPORTANT THAT WE STRESS THAT IN ORDER TO ADOPT FROM US, YOU MUST HAVE A VETERINARIAN REFERENCE...NO EXCEPTIONS! .

APPLY FOR PREZLY I bet you can’t wait to meet little ol’ me!   I’m Prezly, a 9lb bundle of fun and mischief, 12 weeks old and already plotting world domination - muahaha!   Now let’s get the snoozefest out of the way: I’m spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. In other words, I’m ready to roll with my forever family without any pesky paperwork holding me back.   Some folks might call me crazy, but let’s be real, if by crazy they mean “the life of the party who could power a small city with her zoomies,” then they are absolutely on the money! I even snagged the “Class Clown” award. Trust me, I’ve got enough energy to fuel a rocket ship.   Wondering about my social skills? I get along with dogs, cats, and kids. Whoever can keep up with my shenanigans gets a lifetime supply of cuddles, chaos, and laughs. But don't let my comedic genius fool you because I’m also a brilliant little scholar and would love for my forever family to teach me the ropes, like how to expertly charm the mailman   So, what are you waiting for? Are you ready to roll out the red carpet and welcome me into your life? APPLY FOR CEASAR My name's Caesar, and I'm a 1 year old Boston Terrier weighing in at 25 lbs! I’m fully vetted, which means I’m neutered, vaccinated, and sporting a microchip.   Now, I might look a tad grumpy, but don't be fooled! I’m actually a certified lover boy, full of sweetness and silliness! I adore playtime and get along with everyone, whether it’s dogs, cats, kids - you name it, I more than likely like them! I could blend right in with any family!   So, what are you waiting for? Who’s ready to bring me home?
