Story
This is "Onix". He is a Boston Terrier. He is 14 months old and he weighs about 13 pounds. We received a phone call from Onix's owners, a young couple, saying they never realized how much work is involved to take care of a little dog in a small apartment and they wanted to give up the dog. We wonder how much time poor Onix had to spend in his crate. How sad for Onix. Onix is a great little dog. He has a great temperament and a LOT of energy! We are looking for Onix's owner to be very familiar with and fond of Boston Terriers. You MUST own your own home preferably with a fenced in yard. ABSOLUTELY NO CONDOS. ABSOLUTELY NO APARTMENTS. Children must be 8 years old or older. Onix had his shots when he came to us. We had him neutered and tested for heartworm, which was negative. To adopt from us, you MUST have a veterinarian reference in your own name. We will not place any animal without a veterinarian reference. We get a veterinarian reference from your veterinarian which is a history of medical care administered by your veterinarian to your present or previous pet or pets. Please do not contact us if you cannot abide by our adoption rules. NO OUT OF STATE ADOPTIONS. The adoption fee for Onix is $350.00. No credit cards. If you are interested in Onix, please email us at feline55keeper@gmail.com. You can meet Onix on Saturday at Petco located at 201 Union Street in Waterbury during our adoption hours from 12:00 to 3:00. Onix will be keeping his eyes out for you! IT IS IMPORTANT THAT WE STRESS THAT IN ORDER TO ADOPT FROM US, YOU MUST HAVE A VETERINARIAN REFERENCE...NO EXCEPTIONS! .

Story
Mango is a Boston Terrier mix with a sweet heart, a little sass, and the zoomies of a caffeinated squirrel. She can be a bit shy when meeting new people, but once she decides you’re safe… congratulations, you’ve been promoted to official couch snuggle partner. Her favorite activities include: • Cuddling in bed like she pays the mortgage • Zoomies around the house at random intervals • Being chauffeured in her stroller like the royalty she is • Collecting shoes and shoelaces for… reasons she refuses to explain Mango currently lives in a bustling foster home with 4 big adult dogs, 4 cats, and younger foster puppies, and she handles it like a pro. She respectfully waits while the big dogs eat and happily enjoys her own meals from her bowl like a polite little lady. She’s already learned “sit” and is working on potty training. She also has a deep appreciation for rope toys, stuffed toys, and cozy cuddle spots. Mango would do best with a family that understands that shy pups just need a little patience and love to blossom. Once she feels safe, she turns into a snuggly, silly, zoomie-powered best friend. Local adoption fee is $250(in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $550 (includes transport to your area)

Story
Looking for a little dog with a whole lot of heart? Meet Ian! Ian is a 1.5-year-old black and white sweetheart who proves every day that a rough start does not define your future. This pint-sized boy previously suffered a hip injury, which has healed beautifully, and his happy, playful spirit never missed a beat. Ian is fun, boisterous, and full of contagious joy. He loves attention, enjoys romping around with his toys, and is always ready for a cuddle when playtime winds down. He does well with other dogs and would make a wonderful addition to a home with canine friends. Ian also loves his food and is happily not picky. He eats from a slow-feeder bowl to help him enjoy his meals at a healthy pace and aid digestion. Medical Transparency (the important but reassuring part): Ian has Diabetes Insipidus, which is not the same as diabetes mellitus. This condition affects how his body concentrates urine and has nothing to do with blood sugar. • Oral medication only — no shots or injections • Takes medication twice daily to maintain healthy urine concentration and support full bladder emptying • Medication may be lifelong or temporary, depending on future veterinary guidance • Medication cost can vary depending on the veterinarian or pharmacy • Needs frequent potty breaks Ian does wonderfully on his routine and is otherwise a happy, active, affectionate young dog. He is looking for a loving home that will appreciate his joyful personality and continue his simple daily care so he can thrive for years to come. Are you ready to give this resilient, playful boy the forever home he deserves? Basic Info: Male, 1 yr old, Boston Terrier/Chihuahua, Coat: Black and White, neutered, microchipped, up to date on shots and preventions, preventatives. Local adoption fee (Texas) - $200 Out of state adoption (includes transport to your area) ‐ $450

Story
If you are looking for the perfect-sized lap dog, look no further because Pippa is your girl! Weighing approx 42 pounds and estimated to be about 14 months old, Pippa defines the meaning of lovable, cute, happy, and cuddly when it comes to the definition of the "perfect" dog. She is learning how to walk on a leash and is doing a great job at it. She also loves all the fosters she has been introduced to. Pippa is crate-trained and housetrained. She would love to find her forever home so she can enjoy the summer with her humans. Whether it be one human or several, she will be content wherever she is. Pippa is spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. All dogs 6 month + receive a Proheart 6 injection at the time of their heartworm test. This provides heartworm prevention for 6 months from the time of that injection. This dog has tested ****** for heartworms. Story
This puppy Is spayed/neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, treated for all of the intestinal parasites, and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. Because intestinal parasites are cyclical, your puppy may need additional treatment once you get him/her home. This is common and nothing to be alarmed about. Puppies and dogs need to be treated periodically for parasites throughout their entire lives. The adoption fee is $550 if your adoption is prepaid prior to your pup's arrival. An additional $50 will be charged on puppies that are adopted at an event, or foster home. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with CT HB 5368. WANT TO MEET OUR DOGS IN PERSON? Check the Events tab on cprdogs.com for all weekend adoption event info. The majority of the dogs marked as 'meet me' will be there to see you! More and more of our adopters are having fun with DNA tests on their pups. You might ask yourself why our breed guess is varying degrees of difference from the DNA tests. Most of our puppies are rescued from high kill shelters or other abandonment situations and we have no info on parents. When we rescue puppies that have no background info, we make our very best educated guess as to breed mix and age. Our guesstimate comes from years and years and years of animal welfare work and training, but our guesses won't always agree with your vet, your neighbor, your DNA test, etc. The most important thing to know about your puppy's breed mix is that most likely he/she is a Super Lovable Mutt made of many many many different breeds. If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at the Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 11 am-1 pm.
