Story
Coco will need someone commited to ensuring she gets positive reinforcment training to build confidence, learn important skills, and live her best life; in return she promises lots of cute moments and precious memories.OTHER PETS: Coco is outgoing and friendly with other dogs but she is also a bit heavy handed in her interactions. She would do best with a tolerant dog who would give appropriate redirection if Coco were to get bothersome. Her always-on-the-go attitude and high level of energy may be off putting to calmer or older dogs. [Case-By-Case (Must Meet First)] OWNER EXPERIENCE: [First Dog] GROOMING: [Minimal] KIDS: Coco is very friendly, very excitable, and very energetic. She is not aggressive and has not engaged in resource guarding while at the shelter, but is jumpy and mouthy, and learning loose-leash walking. While playing with humans she may conk them with her head while jumping (and she can jump over 4',) or chomp on their fingers, but not on purpose - she hasn't learned how to play gently yet. She should meet any humans she would be living with prior to adoption. [12+ / Dog Savvy]ACTIVITY LEVEL: Coco is active and ready to run from Hopkinton to Boston every day, at least twice. She will need an active home that will keep up with her physically and mentally, incorporating positive reinforcement training, exercise, and enrichment activities to help meet all her needs. [Olympic Athlete]VETERINARY CARE: Brachycephalic dogs have a greater likelihood of developing breathing difficulties over the course of their lives, are more apt to overheat in hot weather & prone to eye infections. A strong relationship with a vet is recommended to ensure that Coco ages gracefully. [Above Average]LEVEL OF TRAINING NEEDED: Positive reinforcement training will help Coco bond with her new owner as well as help her learn important life skills. Coco will need help learning to potty outside, and will need support and patience as she learns this important skill. Positive reinforcement training will help her build confidence and open doors to additional physical and mental activities. [Moderate]June 17, 2025, 8:50 pm

Story
Meet Logan Howlett! This dapper little guy is an 8-year-old Boston Terrier weighing 24 pounds. Logan was recently rescued from a high-kill shelter after his owner left him behind while moving. He is still getting used to his new surroundings. Life threw him some curveballs, so he’s taking his time adjusting—but who can blame him?Logan is currently a bit particular about his doggy companions and may do best as the only pet in the home. He’s also unsure around new people at first, but we’re hopeful that with time, love, and patience, he’ll learn to relax and embrace the good life. He’s a work in progress, but we’re already seeing glimpses of the wonderful companion he can become. As Logan continues to decompress, we’ll keep updating his bio to reflect his journey. For now, he’s looking for a calm, understanding home that will give him the space and security he needs to feel safe and loved. If you believe in second chances and have a heart for helping a pup rediscover trust, Logan Howlett may just be your guy. &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location. Petfinder lists our pets as 'Out of Town' pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it. You can read more about transport here: www.charmingpetrescue.org/transportWe understand transport is not an option for everyone, but we offer it at the cost we pay the transport company for those who wish to adopt from us.June 5, 2025, 10:56 am

Story
Welcome Emmy Lou to CCPAL Rescue. Emmy Lou is a 10-week-old Boston Terrier mixed puppy. She weighs about 10 pounds. She has longer legs than a few of the siblings. She should be a small to medium sized dog. We think weight not over 25 pounds. Her mom looks like a pure-bred Boston Terrier but we don’t know what the dad was. Emmy Lou has the colorations of the Boston Terrier Mom. She has smaller feet so we do believe the weight estimate should be accurate. The mom is small. This group of puppies are energetic, outgoing, inquisitive, affectionate and extroverted. They are very good with their siblings and were in a home prior to coming into the rescue. The family had an unspayed Boston Terrier and a male crawled into the yard and got her pregnant. They asked for help and promised to spay the mother dog. We took the entire litter of puppies. They have a shorter coat and right now not too big in shedding. Emmy Lou has folded ears. We don’t think they will go fully upright. They are wonderful pups and will make some lucky family a very nice pet. She is good in a crate and ready for some family to work with her to finish off her puppy training. They will walk on a leash and she will go on a potty pad and if she is outside, will go outside in the grass. She is smart and looks you right in the eye. We don’t see Boston Terriers much in dog rescue. This is a nice find. She is currently getting dewormed and all her puppy vaccines. She will be spayed soon and will be looking for her forever home. She is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is $600 and transport is $200. . Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Welcome Mattie to CCPAL Rescue. Mattie is a 10-week-old Boston Terrier mixed puppy. He weighs about 10 pounds. He has shorter legs than a few of the siblings. He should be a small to me sized dog. He loves being held and is the one with the shorter and bent tail. He has beautiful down ears and a gorgeous brindle coat. He has a handsome smile We think weight not over 25 pounds. Story
Meet Atticus, a super sweet 3 year old neutered male terrier mix, weighing about 45 lbs! He is a friendly love bug who is good with other dogs, peiple, and kids. He has not been cat tested, so we are unsure how he would do with cats. Atticus plans to win you over with not just his good looks, but also with his charming personality. He's a fun, goofy guy and will bring endless enjoyment to his new home. Are you willing to give him the chance to make your life more entertaining?  From Atticus's current foster: "Atticus is the welcome wagon and the life of the party! He loves meeting new people and dogs alike. Atticus doesn't know what the word stranger means because everyone is his friend. He has the sweetest most handsome face and is such a quirky, loving and playful guy. He loves vigorous rubs, butt scratches and lets us know how happy he is with his motor tail. He would love nothing more than to be a sidekick by day and cuddle buddy in bed by night. After all, he does have a PhD in cuddling! He gives the best hugs and kisses.  He loves playing with other dogs, finds their level and adjusts his accordingly. He likes durable rubber chew toys, fetch, couch wrestling his 4 legged friends and zoomie marathons.  We think he would do best in a home with other dogs to keep him active but would also do fine being an only dog since he's a bit of an attention hog and a jealous jelly bean at times. He is NOT an aggressive dog by any means, only the occasional reactive barking, and he would rather play than fight. I have watched him de-escalate situations with other dogs and choose to not engage or redirect with playful gestures. He is not a fan of his crate, 0 out of 10, would not recommend, cries like a little girl and nervous drools, but he WILL enter it for food. He tells us when he has to go outside. He is mostly great on leash except for when he gets excited about something or his prey drive is triggered (which is typical for terriers). He is very smart, expressive and knows basic commands like sit, stay, come, paw, lay down, dog out, leave it and drop it. He has good recall. Overall just your snuggliest, silliest GOODEST BOY." Atticus is medically up to date and housebroken. A 100% good doggo! Apply to meet this special boy today! Click HERE for Adoption Application: pawsrescueleague.org/adopt Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable. As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs.  We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted.  As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save. We believe that ALL dogs deserve a second chance. Thank you for your support and understanding! ##2332671##
