Story
I met Luna 2 and a half years ago. A couple I knew had her. The couple were in need of a place for them and their dog to go for a short period of time. I ended up asking them to leave due to normal couple issues but I kept the dogs for them till they found a place where they could have them. Long story short another friend took the male dog as it was to much for me to have both. Almost 2 years later and I still have Luna. I love this dog so much but I don't have the time or funds to give her what she deserves. All she wants is love and attention. She wears diapers as she drops urine regularly and if she barks more sprays out. Luna loves stuffed animals to suckle on at night and she loves food. She does get fearful and cowers if she has an accident in her and thinks she's in trouble, I do feel she was abused at one point. Luna just needs the vet care and unconditional love every animal deserves. She is loyal and loving and anyone who adopts her will be lucky to have a dog like her.

Story
Meet Zyon — the 20-lb soul who’s done pretending life with chaos fits him. At 7 years old, this Boston Terrier just wants calm. He spent years trying to keep it together in a busy home, but the noise and unpredictability of little kids were too much. Now he’s safe, healing, and figuring out what it means to actually relax. He’s housebroken, crate-trained, and loyal to the core. He’ll curl up beside you, follow you from room to room, and give his whole heart once he feels secure. But he’s not looking for playdates, toddlers, or dog-park drama — just someone steady who gets him. He loves food (bananas especially), car rides, and quiet companionship. Zyon’s not broken — he just needs a home that matches his energy: peaceful, patient, and real.  Is it you?   This dog is up to date on vaccinations and is spayed or neutered. (Please note: Puppies under 3 months old may not be sterilized prior to adoption. If this is the case, your adoption coordinator will provide guidance on the process.)   To adopt or learn more about this dog, you must complete an adoption application, which can be found on our website: www.sandypawsrescue.com.   PLEASE READ:     •    If a dog or puppy is listed, they are currently available for adoption. However, they may already be pending an adoption, and their profile may not yet reflect this.     •    All information is accurate to the best of our knowledge as of the posting date.     •    Unless explicitly stated, Sandy Paws Rescue does not guarantee the breed of any dog. Breeds listed are educated guesses made by shelter staff, volunteers, or veterinarians. Many of our dogs are mixed breeds, often with pit bull-type genetics, resulting in a wide variety of physical traits and temperaments.   Our dogs come from various situations, such as kill shelters, owner surrenders, or as strays. It is likely both parents were mixed breeds as well.   Sandy Paws Rescue does not have a public shelter in Massachusetts. Our dogs reside in private foster homes or boarding kennels in the South until adopted. Many dogs are spoken for prior to transport or release from state-mandated isolation.   For information on adoption fees, procedures, or FAQs, visit our website: www.sandypawsrescue.com.   The FIRST step in adopting from Sandy Paws Rescue is to submit a completed adoption application.   ##2564007##

Story
Meet Coco! A joyful almost eleven-year-old Boston Terrier mix currently living in Orange, NJ, whose heart is as big as her happy-go-lucky spirit and whose black-and-white patchwork coat is as charming as her playful personality. Coco starts every day with a dance, literally! She twirls in circles, tail wagging, eyes bright, and full of excitement for what lies ahead. Despite her senior status, this 40-pound bundle of energy lives life with the zest of a pup half her age. She loves exploring the yard, tossing around her stuffed animals, chasing rope toys, and finding the perfect sunny spot to soak up the day. Her goofy antics will have you laughing daily, whether she’s rolling on the grass or sneaking off to her crate for a nap with a blanket draped over her head like a little canine cave dweller! Coco is crate trained, house-trained, and a delight indoors. She's never chewed furniture or had accidents and knows commands like sit, stay, down, come, and leave it. She’s also quite affectionate and never misses a chance to hand out kisses or snuggle up on the couch! Coco has lived with her sister dog for years, but after a change in their living situation, tensions arose, and Coco initiated a scuffle a few months ago. Since then, they've been kept separate to ensure safety and peace. While Coco can be reactive around other dogs, she’s done well in structured settings like vet visits, grooming salons, and boarding facilities. Because of this history, she would thrive as the only pet in a home that can give her the calm and consistency she needs. What Coco needs is a pet-free home with guardians who can embrace her playful quirks, her lively personality, and her need for peaceful surroundings. While she doesn’t necessarily need a fenced-in yard, regular walks several times a day will keep her happy and content. She’s a low-maintenance companion who entertains herself, naps like a champ, and brings joy simply by being herself. Could your home be the cozy haven Coco’s ready to bring her happiness to?
