Story
Penny is a timid girl that has taken a little time to warm up to her foster family. She does not like being on a leash and is hard to catch in the house! She is working on potty training. She does great with the 2 resident dogs in her foster home and is learning a lot from them. Having another dog in the household for her future family would probably be best for her. She is super sweet when she finally warms up to you and loves to give kisses.  Penny loves to just sunbathe outside. She does ok with cats as long as the cats let her know who is boss! She does chase chickens though.  is up to date on vaccinations and is spayed or neutered. (puppies under the age of 6 months may not be sterilized prior to adoption, if this is the case your adoption coordinator will discuss the process with you). To adopt or learn more about: , you must fill out an adoption application. To find the application, visit our website: WWW.SANDYPAWSRESCUE.COM ** PLEASE READ: If a dog/puppy is listed, then s/he is currently available for adoption. Their information is correct to the best of our abilities and the information we have been given as of the day of posting. In some cases this dog may be pending an adoption already, and their profile has not been updated yet. Please note, SPR does not guarantee the breed of any dog or puppy unless stated otherwise. All breeds listed are educated best estimates by transferring shelter staff, our volunteers or our vets. The dog may have some genetic material of an American Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull). The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them the All American MUTT. Our dogs are rescued from various situations (kill-shelters, owner surrenders, strays, etc). It is most likely that both their parents were strays and mixes of some sort. If you are interested in this dog, you MUST submit an application. Sandy Paws Rescue does not a have a public shelter in Mass, so there is no building you can visit without an appointment. Our dogs live in private foster homes or boarding kennels down south until adopted, and foster care homes through out MV, Cape Cod and other parts of MA. A majority of our dogs are adopted/spoken for prior to transport and release from state mandated isolation. To learn more about our rescue, adoption fees, and procedures, review the list of FAQ’s on our website at WWW.SANDYPAWSRESCUE.COM **The FIRST step in adopting an animal from our rescue is to submit a completed adoption application. ##1695524##

Story
Have an active lifestyle? Love to spend time in the water? Enjoy camping? Hiking? Guess what? So does Titan!! Titan is ideally looking for a woman who is ready to add an active, silly man to her life. Staff were able to get information about Titan's life before becoming a shelter guest, and he is know to have thoroughly enjoyed swimming (with his adorable life jacket on), hiking the local trails, and even tent camping! Titan has lived with a small child in the past so he may do well with children moving forward. He has liked many dogs he has met in his life, but he can be selective so a meet and greet is a must before going home. He is very prey driven, so cats and small animals will not fair well to live with him! Titan can be weary of men, but may do well with a mild mannered, more gentle personality. Staff and volunteers just love this little ball of energy and exploration :) Apply for Titan today and help him fulfill his dream to be a full blown adventurer!

Story
Stepping right up is our friend Tyson Sr! We think he is a "Boston Boxer" - a mix of Boston Terrier and Boxer, he's only about 30lbs. This handsome boy is 12 years young and still bounces all around when he catches sight of the leash in your hand. Well, as much as he can, this sweet frosted face's sight is dwindling, but that doesn't stop him from having his fun! There is tons of spunk in his step and it's been reported that his silly tail wags like crazy for treats and walks. Boy oh boy does this cutie patoot love his treats! When Tyson Sr isn't excited over activities and goodies, he is leaning into you for pats.Tyson Sr may be a good companion to a dog-savvy, sturdy kid. Although he cannot live with any smaller dogs, he may be able to live with a calm larger dog. Tyson Sr has not lived with cats before, but we believe he may be able to live with a dog-savvy cat with a proper introduction. Does this senior sweetie seem like a good fit for your home? He is currently spreading joy in a foster home so please follow the steps below to come meet him!Our shelter is open every day from 12-4, closed on Mondays. If you are interested in this pet, please call us at 978-452-7781 or email info@lowellhumanesociety.org to request an adoption application.
