I was just recently diagnosed with cancer and due to starting medical treatments and surgery I am unable to care for them. Mimi and Kiki abre subbiings. They are six months old. They are mini dachsund and mini boston terrier mix. Very attached to each other. Looking to rehome them together if possible but if it comes down we may have to separate them. They get along with dogs and love kids. They love outdoors as long as it's not too cold. Looking for a forever home for both. Please help me. Thank you!!!

He was adopted from us as a puppy, but is now being returned. This is not the fault of Noli. Unfortunately his owner seems to be dealing with some severe depression and not able to care of Noli. The owner of her home has asked that Noli be rehomed. We can go into further detail in email so as not to share too much of his owner's personal info out in the open. Cannoli is 9mo old and about 40 lbs. A DNA test on his sibling confirmed he is a Boston Terrier mix but please take note he is larger than a Boston. He is good with other dogs and tolerates cats well. He's a sweet, good boy. He needs to work on house training-unfortunately it sounds like due to his owner's depression, she does not take him outside when he needs to go and therefore he is having accidents. Here is info from the trainer:'Noli is very social with people and loves being part of whatever is happening. He is highly food motivated, learns new patterns quickly, and bonds closely with his person. He settles well once he has had a chance to take in a new person or place. During his consultation he was able to calm down and fall asleep while we talked, even with a visitor in the home. What he has learned: -Name check-ins: he turns back to his person when his name is called, and this was one of his fastest skills.-Hand target (touch): he touches a hand with his nose on cue.-Sit: offered often and reliably at home.-Greeting routine: person arrives, he says hello, then he comes back to his person for another activity. This is trained and still needs practice with new people.-Loose leash basics: he understands that a tight leash stops the walk and a loose leash keeps it going. He pulls when something exciting catches his attention, mostly smells and people.-Settling on a tether or leash setup indoors: he settles and has fallen asleep in this setup, and he has put himself to bed on his own.-Crate: he will go in willingly with a chew or food toy. Our sweet Dixie was found as a stray on the loud and scary streets of Houston. She was brought to a high-kill shelter but was saved from euthanasia just in the nick of time. She was brought up to our foster in Salem OR, where, for the first time in her life, she was finally safe and loved. When we first met her, she was scared and unsure of the world around her. But today she is a HAPPY baby who loves playing with other dogs and soaking up all the love she can get. At first, she can be a little nervous around new humans, but with a little time and some yummy treats, she warms up pretty quickly. She is incredibly smart and highly food motivated. She learned how to walk on a leash in a single day and then how to "sit" the next day in just a couple of hours. She is a year old but still has the puppy playfulness and curiosity. She has learned to LOVE going for walks and running and playing with other dogs. But she also loves napping, chewing on her bones and snuggling on the couch. Dixie has the cutest underbite, which causes her lip to get caught on her teefs. Her nose has the slightest upturn, and her eyes are slightly turned outward. She is literally one-of-a kind, and we think she is just perfectly imperfect. She has been spayed, fully vaccinated, and microchipped. She is potty trained, leash trained, and crate trained. She is currently fostered with dogs and a cat, so we know she is good with them. Based on her docile temperament, we believe she would be perfect with kids too but may need some time to warm up before she played with them. Dixie is currently in a foster home in Salem, Oregon. She is available for meet and greets with approved applicants. Dogs like Dixie are the reason rescue matters. One chance can change everything.
