Maisie has eyes that tell you she has not had an easy life. I don't know much about this little darling, boston mix except someone rescued her from a drug addict in the bronx for 150 dollars. She is sweet, playful, energetic ... and she has obviously not been treated well. She puts on a brave face but if you move too quickly she will cower. Maisie has been completely vetted..blood/ rabies/ and spay. She did have a mass on her neck removed and we sent it out and it was nothing. She is healthy. Maisie is 2 to 3 and about 15 lbs. She can be a tough cookie ...to her senior foster pups... but would be great with one her energy own energy level. She also loves a good lap!!! Casper is up to date on core vaccinations (age-appropriate) and is microchipped. He will be neutered prior to joining his forever home unless there is a medical reason why it has not yet been completed (in which case RDR NYC will work with the adopter to ensure this is done at the appropriate time). Casper is good with people, other dogs and even cats. This cute little guy was abandoned at a vet's office and fortunately made his way into our rescue and into our hearts! Casper is friendly and super sweet. UPDATE 5/12/25: We are seeing so much progress with our sweet Dolce - with the help of physical therapy, accupuncture and lots of massage and TLC she is regaining the use of her back legs! She still has a way to go but we are hopeful for a full recovery. Dolce will need a calm household so she does not injure herself when she is ready for adoption.Meet Dolce, a sweet little girl whose name perfectly matches her personality. At just over a year old, she was thriving until a few weeks ago, when she suddenly lost the use of her back legs. After thorough evaluation and scans, surgery has been ruled out, and physical therapy is now essential for her recovery. We're searching for a long-term foster or adopter who can commit to her treatment plan and support her on this healing journey. While we all hope Dolce will regain the use of her legs, she currently uses a set of wheels to help her get around. She loves attention and will brighten any home with her sweet spirit.
