Story
🐶 Meet LL, the coolest 8-year-old Boston Terrier, just like LL Cool J! LL is in search of a very special forever home. Tragically, his family lost everything in a devastating fire and had to rehome their beloved Boston Terriers. LL, who had always lived with other dogs, was a cherished family member for 8 wonderful years. 🦴 LL is a laid-back, easygoing guy who knows how to enjoy the simple pleasures of life. He's great with other dogs, kids, and we suspect he'd be perfectly fine with cats too. He radiates an aura of calm and love. 💧 LL adores walks, especially when they involve water. He'll gladly make a beeline for puddles and dive right in, just for the pure fun of it! Watching him embrace the joy of puddle-diving is like seeing LL Cool J perform one of his legendary on-stage stunts. 🤣 LL's antics can be compared to LL Cool J's famous humor – he's got a knack for making you smile, just like the rapper himself! Whether puddle jumping or rolling around, LL is a master of adding laughter to your life. 🌼 Unfortunately, LL has a slow-spreading cancerous mass, is not a candidate for surgery. But that doesn't stop him from being the gentle, affectionate dog he is. He's a living example of resilience and strength. 🏡 If you can offer LL the forever home he deserves, one where puddle-diving is not just allowed but encouraged, reach out and let this incredibly cool and fun-loving pup be a part of your family. 💙🐶 ❣️❣️ HIS ADOPTION FEE IS WAIVED ❣️❣️ To ADOPT: https://goo.gl/forms/76AlhP1m0ColWFpG3

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please note that we can not guarantee the age, expected weight or breed of any animal. What we provide is our best estimates based on our experience and the information provided by the our medical partners. If breed and eventual size are of great importance we suggest looking into a breed specific rescue or adopting a full grown animal. Unless otherwise noted, ALL animals are fostered and available for adoption on Long Island, NY.  Approx 5 year old Boston Terrier mixIntroducing Maggie, the delightful 5-year-old Boston Terrier Mix with a heart full of joy! Maggie's vibrant spirit and boundless energy make her a true happy-go-lucky companion. Whether it's playtime in the yard or a friendly game of fetch, Maggie's enthusiasm is infectious. One of Maggie's greatest passions is water. The mere sight of a water hose is enough to make her face light up with excitement. Her love for water knows no bounds, making her an ideal partner for swimming adventures or refreshing hikes by the lakeside. If you're seeking a four-legged friend to accompany you on outdoor escapades, Maggie is the perfect choice. While Maggie may not be the biggest fan of cats, her tolerance for them is commendable. She has a unique personality that shines through in her interactions with other dogs – she's selective about her furry friends. Given her preference for one-on-one attention, Maggie might thrive best as the only pet in a loving home. Maggie is a fantastic girl bursting with character and affection. Her devotion knows no limits, and she's ready to shower her forever family with boundless love. If you're ready for a loyal and lively companion, Maggie is eagerly waiting to embark on new adventures by your side.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Story
Sweet baby Cherry is waiting for her forevers at our Southbury adoption center, and she'll be at our weekend events until adopted. This little gal is about 4 months old and just as sweet as.....well, cherry pie!! If you need a little sweetness in your life, hop on over to our adoption application at www.cprdogs.com and make this little sweetie yours! Cherry~meet me~ Is spayed/neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, treated for all of the intestinal parasites, and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. Because intestinal parasites are cyclical, your puppy may need additional treatment once you get him/her home. This is common and nothing to be alarmed about. Puppies and dogs need to be treated periodically for parasites throughout their entire lives. The adoption fee is $550 if your adoption is prepaid prior to your pup's arrival. An additional $50 will be charged on puppies that are picked up from our Southbury CT adoption center, adopted at an event, or foster home. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with CT HB 5368. WANT TO MEET OUR DOGS IN PERSON? Check the Events tab on cprdogs.com for all weekend adoption event info. The majority of the dogs marked as 'meet me' will be there to see you! More and more of our adopters are having fun with DNA tests on their pups. You might ask yourself why our breed guess is varying degrees of difference from the DNA tests. Most of our puppies are rescued from high kill shelters or other abandonment situations and we have no info on parents. When we rescue puppies that have no background info, we make our very best educated guess as to breed mix and age. Our guesstimate comes from years and years and years of animal welfare work and training, but our guesses won't always agree with your vet, your neighbor, your DNA test, etc. The most important thing to know about your puppy's breed mix is that most likely he/she is a Super Lovable Mutt made of many many many different breeds. If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at the Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 11 am-1 pm. An additional $100 fee will be added for any dogs picked up from the Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05. TO APPLY PLEASE GO TO www.cprdogs.com. If your application was successfully submitted you will get an automatically generated confirmation email. Please DO NOT USE the ADOPTAPET "CONTACT THIS RESCUE GROUP" form below or you may not hear from us as these often end up in spam or bouncing back. After receipt of your application, an adoption counselor will then be in touch to answer your questions about this pup, discuss the adoption process and get the ball rolling! If you have not heard from one of our volunteers within 5 days of submitting your application, please email mollibo@gmail.com.

Story
Hey there Delilah, what's it like in Jackson city, you got preggers and abandoned, but finding rescue makes us giddy, yes it doooooes..... Ok, so we're not winning any Grammys, but I bet I'm not the only one whose head that song will be stuck in (sorry). Friends, meet Delilah, a petite lady whose sweet little babies also came to CPR with their mama. Delilah was dumped pregnant on a rural farm, and luckily the nice people that owned it called us in to help, so here we are! Her beautiful babes have been cared for and are ready for their own forever people, so Sweet Delilah can retire her Mama Bear pants and focus on her own fairytale ending. Delilah is a young lady, we guesstimate between 1-2 years old and weighs in at a petite 20ish lbs. She's got a Bostoney look to her and has the most beautiful coat and soulful eyes. Delilah has been fostering with 3 other doggos and gets along great with everyone. She's house trained, LOVES playtime with her pals, is always down for a good time, and has achieved expert status in the snuggle buddy category. Delilah is still a young lady and her new family can expect a playful, energetic, and enthusiastic adventure partner minus the puppy shenanigans. Our pocket sized princess is single and ready to mingle! If the time is right to bring home a gigantic snuggle muffin in a pocket sized package, Delilah is just the very goodest girl you've been waiting for. Read on to learn more about being Delilah's happy ending. Delilah is spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. This dog has tested positive for heartworms and is being treated under our care. The adoption fee is $450 if your adoption is prepaid and final prior to your dog's arrival. An additional $50 will be charged on dogs that are picked up from our Southbury CT adoption center, adopted at an event, or foster home. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with CT HB 5368. WANT TO MEET OUR DOGS IN PERSON? Check the Events tab on cprdogs.com for all weekend adoption event info.
