You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Zamira (GA) is a female Boston Terrier/Chihuahua mix estimated to be 4 weeks old at the time of intake in late January 2024. Zamira is up to date on core vaccines (age-appropriate) and is microchipped. She will be spayed prior to placement in her forever home  unless there is a medical reason why it has not yet been completed (in which case RDR NYC will work with the adopter to ensure this is done at the appropriate time).  Zamira is good with people of all ages and other dogs. We brought Zamira and her Momma and siblings into rescue, and Zamira is now old enough to start her life in her forever family. Zamira is adorable, sweet, funny and friendly. If that's the pup you're looking for, then you have found her in Zamira! Her adoption fee is $575. Please apply online to adopt Zamira (GA) at www.rescuedogsrocknyc.org. Story
Meet Ella! Ella is about 18 pounds and five and a half months old. We are not exactly sure what breed mixes she is but we know she is the perfect supermutt! Mom looked like a Boston Terrier maybe mixed with an American Staffordshire terrier, and Dad looked like a Shih Tzu with lots of other things, maybe a Jack Russell terrier, beagle, and maybe even Cairn Terrier. She is stocky but looks like she will have short stumpy legs and may not grow past 25 to 30 pounds. Ella is your typical puppy who loves to run and play with all of her friends and is even well-acquainted with the cat! She has been working in crate training, potty training, and leash training but still needs some help with all. Interested in becoming a forever home for Ella? Fill out our online adoption application: http://www.friendswithfourpaws.org/adoption-form.html This is the first step in our process, and we don't go any further without an application. Find more adoptable pets, news and information on Instagram @friendswithfourpaws or our Facebook page Friends with Four Paws. We put a lot of time and energy into processing our adoptions to find our babies the best fit home for them and you. Please do not submit an application if you are not serious about adopting Ella. We are so excited to work with you to find you a new forever friend, and Ella the perfect forever home, and appreciate you working with us. For immediate consideration, please attach your application to the initial inquiry to help us expedite the process. Our adoption fee is $525. This includes their spay/neuter surgery, full (age appropriate) vaccinations, microchip insertion and registration, deworming, heartworm testing and prevention, flea and tick prevention and travel expenses. All of our dogs are rescued from local shelters and the general public. Each dog is then placed in a foster home where he/she is kept for quarantine, to ensure if the dog gets sick it can receive proper treatment. We have foster homes in the NJ/NY area waiting to receive their fosters. Once an animal has received an application or there's an adopter interested, we make arrangements for transport. If a dog is already in foster care in NYC/NJ, an adopter will be put in touch with the foster home AFTER an application is being processed. Thank you in advance for your patience with our process and for making adoption YOUR option!

Story
Meet the squishy Diddy! He is elligible for foster-to-adopt!! Diddy is a 7 year old, 28lbs puggle mix from the Bronx. We received Diddy as a diverted intake from the local ACC in order to prevent him from going into the overcrowded shelter system.  Diddy unfortunately has dealt with a lot in the last couple years for our knowledge. Before coming to us we know he was passed around to multiple homes and people. Due to that, Diddy can be a bit of a nervous nelly. Hes got a lot of energy but hasn’t had much routine or structure in his life so he doesn’t know where to put.  For the last several weeks Diddy has been brushing up on his good boy skills with our trainer! We have learned Diddy is such a lover boy when his needs are properly met. He enjoys frequent games of tug & fetch with his person, as well as long walks exploring the neighborhood. He’s incredibly food motivated, as most pug mixes are, which makes his training that much easier! He enjoys working for his meals throughout the day whether on walks or learning some basic obedience.  Diddy can be great with other dogs with some management. He’s quite pushy with others and may not understand when other dogs want a break from playing with him. He’s looking for an owner who is aware or willing to learn how to read dog body language and intervene if Diddy is getting a little too excited with his canine friends.  Diddy has been trained using balanced methods and has thrived. His new owner will get two free training sessions to help acclimate him to his new environment. We strongly believe Diddy will be the type of dog to need few months of decompression and structure as he’s experienced so much uncertainty in his life he can be an anxious boy. While not a requirement, we do think Diddy would be more comfortable in a quieter neighborhood with an active family. Diddy is up to date on vaccines and prevention. He is scheduled for neuter on 4/24. Should he be adopted before this date his adopters will need to bring him to and from the appointment (2455 McDonald Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11223). To apply for Diddy, visit our website (www.waggytailrescue.org) for an adoption application. It is important to fill out an application as soon as possible for consideration, and we require a complete application for you to meet an animal. We are currently unable to respond to general email inquiries as an all-volunteer run rescue. If the animal is on our website, they are still available. Waggytail Rescue CANNOT guarantee the exact age of any adoptable dog, or final size of any of our adoptable puppies. We rely on the information provided to us by veterinarians, shelters, owner surrenders and other circumstances bringing the dog into our rescue. Adoptions: adopt@waggytailrescue.org ##1972553##

Story
Boll is a 5-year-old, 12 pound male chihuahua / pug mix from Tijuana. Boll is an incredibly social, lovable, and overall precious pup! He has adjusted very well during his time in the city. He enjoys playing and running in the park, being with other dogs, and he especially loves cuddling and being loved on by people! He hasn’t quite mastered the command “sit” but with some guidance he will learn anything quickly. During his time with his foster family, he seems to be almost entirely housebroken, going on pee pads inside if needed, but mostly he goes outside, as soon as he is taken out. Boll is great on a leash and extremely obedient. Doesn’t bark, and adorably wags his tail in excitement at each passing dog in hopes of saying hello!  Boll has not been crated in his foster home as he has been said to hate the crate. He instead loves to cuddle in bed with his foster family, snoring and sleeping through the entire night. Boll loves to play with toys and chew on his bone.  Boll is looking for a loving, active family who will play with and exercise him often. Though he equally appreciates downtime, loves to nap, and to be right next to someone, getting lots of pets and love! He has been very good when exposed to dogs and also cats—and would probably really enjoy having a doggy friend!  Vaccinated for rabies, DA2PP, and bordetella. Neutered, heartworm negative, and microchipped. Current on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. Boll teste positive for ehrlichia and is being treated with 30 days of doxycycline. To apply for Boll, visit our website (www.waggytailrescue.org) for an adoption application. It is important to fill out an application as soon as possible for consideration, and we require a complete application for you to meet an animal. We are currently unable to respond to general email inquiries as an all-volunteer run rescue. If the dog is on our website, they are still available.
