Story
Meet Mr. Beans – Slightly Neurotic, Fully Lovable 🇬🇧🐾 Yes, like Mr. Bean. A little dramatic. A little particular. Completely endearing. This 4.5-year-old, 16-pound tan gentleman made the journey from Tennessee with a fashionable stop in SoHo before arriving here — so he’s basically a small, slightly anxious world traveler. Now let’s address the elephant in the room: Mr. Beans can be a touch neurotic. New people? Suspicious. Sudden movements? Questionable. Weird noises? Absolutely not. But here’s the plot twist… Give him a minute. Once he realizes you are not, in fact, a villain in his personal sitcom, he transforms into your shadow, your sidekick, your ride-or-die best buddy. The warm-up period is short, and the loyalty payoff is huge. He is: ✔️ Neutered ✔️ Up to date on all shots ✔️ 16 pounds of tan perfection ✔️ Hilariously expressive ✔️ A fast convert from “Who are you?” to “I love you.” Much like his British namesake, Mr. Beans may approach life with wide-eyed caution and a dash of overthinking — but that’s part of his charm. He feels things deeply. He bonds hard. And once you’re in his circle? You are IN. He’s not a “life of the party” guy. He’s a “small dinner party, loyal companion, emotionally invested best friend” kind of guy. Mr. Beans doesn’t need the whole world. He just needs his person. And when he finds you? Comedy gold — and unconditional love — guaranteed.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Remy (GA) — a oneyearold (as of December 2025) Boston Terrier mix with the sweetest little soul. This adorable boy came into the shelter with his brother, and while his brother has already found a loving home, Remy is still waiting for someone to choose him. He’s a gentle, happy pup who watches the world with big, hopeful eyes. Kisses, hugs, and cuddles bring out all his sweetness, and he soaks up affection like he’s been waiting his whole life for it. Remy loves people, and he’s learning boundaries with his foster doggy siblings as he settles into home life. Remy is incredibly smart and a fast learner, picking up new skills quickly with consistency and encouragement. Remy takes and learns commands easily — he already knows sit and shake paw — and he’s both treatmotivated and praisemotivated, which makes training fun and rewarding. He's playful, loving, full of puppy energy and genuinely enjoys making his humans proud.  Remy thrives with his people and would do best with someone patient who can continue helping him grow and succeed. He has that irresistible charm that makes you want to scoop him up and promise him the world. He’s young, loving, and ready to bloom in a home where he can finally feel secure and adored. Remy would be a wonderful match for an active family looking for a loyal companion with a tender heart. If you’re ready to give this precious boy the forever home he deserves, apply to adopt Remy (GA) at www.rescuedogsrocknyc.org. Please be sure to reference this pet's name as Remy (GA) in case of duplicate names within the rescue. Thank you!RDR's adoption fees include the cost of spay/neuter/microchip at an RDR-approved facility, whether completed before adoption or if deferred because the pet is too young or has a medical issue.  All pets are also current on age-appropriate vaccines at the time of adoption. Given technical constraints on this database, this pet's location may not be as listed here. We can, however, provide transport support for pets in foster at a considerable distance from the adopter.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 7, 2026, 10:38 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Casper (GA) is a male Pit Bull Terrier/Boston/Chihuahua mix (maybe!) estimated to be 5-6 months old at the time of intake in late September 2024. Casper is up to date on core vaccinations (age-appropriate) and is microchipped. He will be neutered prior to joining his forever home unless there is a medical reason why it has not yet been completed (in which case RDR NYC will work with the adopter to ensure this is done at the appropriate time). Casper is good with people, other dogs and even cats. This cute little guy was abandoned at a vet's office and fortunately made his way into our rescue and into our hearts! Casper is friendly and super sweet. If you have room in your heart and home for this beautiful boy, please apply online to adopt Casper (GA) at www.rescuedogsrocknyc.org.Given technical restrictions on this database, this pet's location may not be as listed here. Story
If you are looking for the perfect-sized lap dog, look no further because Pippa is your girl! Weighing approx 42 pounds and estimated to be about 14 months old, Pippa defines the meaning of lovable, cute, happy, and cuddly when it comes to the definition of the "perfect" dog. She is learning how to walk on a leash and is doing a great job at it. She also loves all the fosters she has been introduced to. Pippa is crate-trained and housetrained. She would love to find her forever home so she can enjoy the summer with her humans. Whether it be one human or several, she will be content wherever she is. Pippa is spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. All dogs 6 month + receive a Proheart 6 injection at the time of their heartworm test. This provides heartworm prevention for 6 months from the time of that injection. This dog has tested ****** for heartworms. The adoption fee is $450 if your adoption is prepaid and final prior to your dog's arrival. An additional $50 will be charged on dogs that are adopted at an event, or foster home. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with CT HB 5368. WANT TO MEET OUR DOGS IN PERSON? Check the Events tab on cprdogs.com for all weekend adoption event info. The majority of the dogs marked as 'meet me' will be there to see you! If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at our Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 11 am-1 pm. An additional $100 fee will be added for any dogs picked up from the Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05. TO APPLY PLEASE GO TO www.cprdogs.com. If your application was successfully submitted you will get a confirmation. Please DO NOT USE the ADOPTAPET "CONTACT THIS RESCUE GROUP" form below or you may not hear from us as these often end up in spam or bouncing back. Story
This puppy Is spayed/neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, treated for all of the intestinal parasites, and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. Because intestinal parasites are cyclical, your puppy may need additional treatment once you get him/her home. This is common and nothing to be alarmed about. Puppies and dogs need to be treated periodically for parasites throughout their entire lives. Visit our website to see our weekend Events here! Pups with the designated “meet me” next to their names are in CT and ready to attend adoption events. Please check with your adoption coordinator if you are interested in a specific dog prior to coming to an event, as a dog's availability to attend can change at any time. We can not guarantee approval on site at the events, so we recommend applying ahead of time. You can apply at the event, but the application process may not be able to be completed the same day. If you are not pre-approved, you are still welcome to come and meet pups at the event! The adoption fee is $600 which includes spay/neuter, up to date vaccinations, flea/tick and heartworm preventatives, and the mandatory CT HB 5368 fee. More and more of our adopters are having fun with DNA tests on their pups. You might ask yourself why our breed guess is varying degrees of difference from the DNA tests. Most of our puppies are rescued from high kill shelters or other abandonment situations and we have no info on parents. When we rescue puppies that have no background info, we make our very best educated guess as to breed mix and age. Our guesstimate comes from years and years and years of animal welfare work and training, but our guesses won't always agree with your vet, your neighbor, your DNA test, etc. The most important thing to know about your puppy's breed mix is that most likely he/she is a Super Lovable Mutt made of many many many different breeds. If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at the Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 11 am-1 pm.
