Story
Have you ever seen a cuter smile?! This bundle of joy and cuteness has the best personality. Shrek always has a smile on his face and he loves everything! He is curious, loves to explore and will always make sure you are smiling. He has that type of personality that will make you giggle even if he’s just sitting there. Mainly because his cute face is so expressive. Shrek also makes the cutest little piglet noises. He loves to throw a toy around to entertain himself or take naps on the couch. Shrek loves to be around people, he’s dog friendly, and also seemed very comfortable around my 5 year old son and three year old daughter. He is eager to please and is going to make a wonderful best friend for someone. Awesome riding in the car as an errand buddy as well! He is a cool best friend to have around. I love how he can keep himself occupied and entertained with a toy around the house. Watch his video here: https://youtu.be/R1yx85EsI2Y?si=Nwr_cTPeM6boZCFe Shrek Forever is what we believe to be a Boston Terrier pittie mix or boxer mix, approximately 1 year old and currently weighs 45 lbs and he is full grown! He is a rescue dog and with any rescue, it’s always a mystery and we cannot guarantee breed or age. He has a cute, corkscrew tail and a shiny healthy coat. Shrek absolutely loves everything and loves making new friends! Especially doggie friends. He is very dog friendly and did great meeting every dog we introduced him to. He does pull on the leash when he is meeting new dogs for the first time because he is so excited and does better with off leash introductions. He met dogs as little as 20 lbs and as big as 60 lbs and all he wanted to do is make friends with them all. Shrek is very tolerant with all sorts of play styles. His favorite type of play is rough and rowdy and he also enjoys a good game of chase. Shrek was also introduced to an older dominant female that gives very loud corrections when she doesn’t want to play or if a dog is being too pushy with her and he accepted the corrections very well. He loves to play and will be best placed in a home with another moderately playful dog. He matches the other dog's energy. So if you have a very playful dog, Shrek will play play play like the little engine that could. On the other hand, if you have a dog that is moderately playful that will play for short periods and not engage in further play when they are done playing, Shrek will match that energy and relax. He should be placed in a home with no kitty siblings. He was very interested in our resident cats during our cat test. Shrek does have energy and his preferred home that can get him to a play yard daily whether that be a dog park or a back yard. He loves to explore and would even enjoy going on short hikes with you. You’ll catch him in the yard with you with his nose to the ground getting in all the yummy smells while making the cutest little piglet noises. Shrek would also make for a great running partner and would gladly join you for a run around the neighborhood, just not marathons please. He does great meeting new people and is always eager and happy no matter what is going on. His eagerness to please and consistency will make training that much easier and enjoyable for you and him. To our knowledge, he is potty trained and crate trained but may need a reminder about where the appropriate potty places are once he is in a home. We are willing to test Shrek Forever with anything you need us to in order to ensure it’s the perfect match for you! We can make anything happen! Just let us know. This is the feedback we tend to get, although we cannot guarantee perfect health. *To fully vet a dog in the PNW at many vets it would be upwards of $1,800 just to fix, vaccinate, chip, etc. The adoption fees charged by our rescue do not cover our expenses medically for each animal, but we offset costs with donations. Your adoption fee is considered a donation towards actual costs. Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We provide weekly socialization programs for our dogs through playgroups and group leash training classes available to all dogs in our adoption program, and Doggy Sleepover, Doggy Day Out, and Ambassador programs for our boarding dogs. There is a professional dog trainer on staff to provide support for our fosters and dogs, and an off-site dog trainer for dogs that need more extensive behavior modification. This helps us learn deeply about every dog, prepare them for adoption, and ultimately match them with loving families. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 5 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes. Follow our rescue journey through the links below! https://www.threelittlepittiesrescue.org/ https://www.facebook.com/threelittlepittiesrescue https://www.instagram.com/threelittlepittiesrescue *Due to the rising cost of fuel and transportation expenses, there will be an additional $62 surcharge for transport. FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED: Give a warm welcome to Trooper! He is a 2-year-old, 41lb Boston Terrier mix who came to us from an overcrowded shelter in CA. Trooper is such an awesome dog! He is always in a good mood, wagging his tail, and friendly with everyone he meets. His happiness is definitely infectious to those around him. Trooper does well with other dogs and would be a great additional dog to a home or be fine as an only dog. His ideal forever home would be one that takes him on adventures to explore and see as much of the world as possible. He is very spunky and playful and will make such an amazing dog for any lucky family that adopts him. Trooper is UTD vaccinations, microchipped and neutered. His adoption fee is $500.

Story
WE ARE A TX BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application found at haydudeequine.org Oreo - You are the bridge between what was and what will be, my pathway to a new life! Oreo, a delicious treat good any time of the day, hey hey, that's me! Just twist, lick and dunk along with me for a feel good moment anytime of the day! I have a cookie named just for me...well I haven't been around since 1912 so I guess I was named after the cookie. Either way, we're both sweet but get this, you won't have any guilt indulging in this Oreo!!! I'm only around 10months old and came in with a broken leg. We got me all fixed up and I can now run and jump and chase the other foster pups around!! I will hold that leg up every once in awhile but then I'm off on my next adventure using that leg just fine. I come in at the top end of the small category of 25lbs. I shouldn't get much bigger(taller) but may but on a few filling-out pounds. I'm a great size for any and all your action adventures but also a great size for being your BFF. I'm pretty quiet, have a super sweet disposition and get along great with other dogs. I could learn to tolerate a cat but it would probably be best if my home was cat free. I'm house and crate trained and let me tell you, that's a fantastic bonus for my new family. I also do well on the leash and love going for my daily walks! Do you need a BFF? A constant in your life? A lil cohort up for any crime you want to try? Hey, look no further, I'm just the gal you're looking for!!!!!

Story
Animal Profile: Wrennley  is a darling female Boston Terrier mix, estimated to be 12 weeks old. She and her siblings along with Their mom Georgia (See Picture) were owner surrendered and taken in by our rescue partner in Texas and is currently enjoying her foster home with children and resident dogs while getting ready for their trip to the PNW to find her forever homes.  Foster Update:  Hi there! My name is Wrennley and I love exploring! I am a go-getter who likes to play. I’ve got great energy, and boy oh boy am I smart! I pick things up really quickly but you know how that goes, when it’s too easy, it can get boring, so I’ve got a couple of prerequisites to training. I like a challenge because that means treats! And I like to know you are giving me as much attention as you expect me to give to you. I’m so smart I even taught my sister to sit so we can get out of the crate faster. I am good with threshold training and know that I’ve got to be calm before I get my treats and food. I do well with nonverbal commands and that’s taught me not to rush in or out of the door without being invited. Once you have my attention, I’m all ears. Especially if you have a high value treat I can smell! I love playing with the chickens at my foster home. I’m not sure why they always run away from me, but as long as I can snatch an egg or two, I’m in and out of that coop in under a minute! I’m working on my potty training but for three months I’d say I’m doing pretty darn well. I haven’t quite figured out how to queue the human to let me out but as soon as I am out, I know exactly what to do. I like pets and I will let you rub my belly, but only if you warm me up to it. I’ve got lots of puppy energy but a small puppy battery so I get tired quick. If you let me get my wiggles out periodically throughout the day I’ll cuddle up with you and we can watch dog videos on YouTube. I’m looking forward to finding my forever home, are you going to be the one for me??   Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, microchip with registration, and health certificate. My foster family took one look in my big brown eyes and they were hooked. I have my little bursts of puppy energy and then I want to snuggle up by my people and take a nice little nap.  I sleep thru the night in my crate and only wake up occasionally. My potty training is coming along nicely for me being such a young pup and I am working on my leash manners when we take walks. I love to meet new people wherever we go and I am quite the charming little guy.
