THIS IS A COURTESY POST HELPING A NEIGHBORING RESCUE SAVE LIVES. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application found at haydudeequine.org Luffy - You are the bridge between what was and what will be, my pathway to a new life! Hey hey all you fabulous people out there. My name is Luffy and I'm here looking to adopt me a family, a home...one I can say will be all mine! And since you're reading this, I'm hoping that you'll consider making ME a part of yours!!!! I is a real sweetheart, adorable and playful year-old coming in at about 16lbs that is an on the go, energetic pup that will win over your heart with my charming ways and playful personality. I is ready to start this next chapter in life with lots of puppy kisses, tail wags and playtime with my new family!! I has a lot of energy and playfulness that makes me the perfect companion for lots of adventures, everything from the mundane daily to your weekend exciting. I do great with the other foster pups here but would do just fine getting ALL the attention as your one and only but would probably do best in an adult only home or with older kiddos (10+). I have not yet had the pleasure of meeting any of those creatures y'all call a cat. I do great with people and my dream is an active family that would love to have a tag-a-long to share in all the joys of hanging your head out the car window, going on sniffaries or sleeping on the ground on camping trips. I am up to trying them all...and having a blast doing them with you! I am house and crate trained already so that lets us get right to the fun stuff....right away!! And, I sleep all night long and my favoristest spot is of course snuggled in bed beside you!! ;) I seem to have a larger dome head and could possibly have hydrocephalus which is a condition where an abnormal accumulation of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) inside the skull causes the brain to swell and increase pressure. There are some treatment options that vary depending on the cause and severity of hydrocephalus, but may include medication to reduce fluid production, surgical shunting to drain the excess fluid, or in severe cases, palliative care. Some breeds like the chihuahua naturally have a dome shaped head and don't always indicate a problem. This doesn't seem to affect my sweet personality and I'm just a happy happy boy that is ready to live life to the fullest! I am sooooo ready to unleash all this awesomeness on a family and be that lil heartbeat at your feet or maybe preferably on your lap, so if you think I'd be a pawsome fit for you and your lifestyle, please stop scrolling and fill out my adoption application! It can be found at haydudeequine.org

Story
Hi, I'm Bella. It's been kinda rough, but I still love people. I was forced to have puppies until my puppy stuff all came out ofme. I had only a few hours left before everyone was going to give up on me ... then Church of Pug said yes. They called ita prolapse and was dropped at the shelter, not a vet. They brought me to a wonderful place that got me all fixed up and healthy. Due to years of them not really caring for me,I have some eye issues and will need drops always.I really don't care about those mean people. I can not believe how nice Hoomans really are. My foster says I am the most lovable and tiny thing she has ever had, and she has had a lot of foster. If you want a dog that will be by your side or your back or front, I'm your girl. I love to sit on a pillow under my foster's desk all day long.I'm still healing from my Prolapsesurgery, so I can't really play much right now, but I'm more of a Hooman Pup, than a Pup, Pup. But they don't bother me either. I will go to any human, so keep me safe and tagged. So if you would take me home I promise to roll over and let you rub my belly all the time. Thanks for caring about me. I really appreciate it and would love to give you loves and kisses to show you.

Story
Hello new friend! My name is Cooper. I am a young pup with so much love to offer. I'm still learning all of my big boy manners but I'm trying my best and learning every day. I know how to sit and lay down but there is still so much more I am willing to learn! I love to play with any and all toys but sometimes I'm naughty and find my own "toys" when I get bored. I enjoy the company of any and all humans. I am still learning how to make doggy friends as some dogs don't enjoy playing and wrestling with my goofball self but I'm learning how to tone it down a bit. I just get so so excited when I get to make a new friend. After I have the chance to run, jump, play, and wrestle some, I enjoy a nice cuddle session and tons of belly rubs. I also enjoy walks around the town but I won't lie, it will take us a long time to make it back because I have to sniff EVERY blade of grass and all the leaves I can find. Would you like to be my new adventure buddy?? Let's go smell the world together!***Please note Cooper has started to display signs of resource guarding***He is entering the Freedom Tails training program starting December 5th and graduating at the end of February. His training is focused on resource guarding along side other basic manners, tricks, and skills. A completed and approved application is needed to schedule a meet and greet. Stay tuned, more info coming soon!_____________________________________________________________________________________________12/12/24 Hello everybody,My name is DJ and I am Cooper’s handler. Cooper is roughly about 13 months old. He’s a pit/ Boston Terrier mix who weighs in at a whopping 53 lbs. Cooper has pretty sea green eyes and a face that could melt any heart at first glance. Day one, Cooper came right up to me as friendly as could be for a warm hello. He is a lover of all people and dogs with a drive for social interactions that will take him far! He has quite the backstory but his future looks bright. So if you're looking for a cuddle bug who NEVER seems to smell like a dog, even when he’s wet, please consider this guy to be the newest member of your home! Stay tuned for weekly updates! ______________________________________________________________________________12/19/24We are going to teach Cooper “off,” which uses the visual cue of flipping your hand over while saying off when he jumps. “Stay” so that he will stay in one place while his person leaves and until they return. For this we hold our hand palm up facing out while asking him to stay. “Leave it,” which will be good specifically for Cooper as he is under the impression he must eat all the grass. The hand cue for this is hand down, palm toward the dog's face with side to side motion at the wrist between the dog and the object. “Take it” so he knows to pick something up or when it's ok to eat something. Cooper is tuned in, he knows when we say go ahead that we’re referring to taking his food. ______________________________________________________________________________12/25/24Hello everyone, My name is Cooper and I’m here to give you some of my background story. I’ll fill you in on my experiences leading to my time here in the Freedom Tails program. I was born in a litter with 8 other siblings, one of which actually made his own journey through the Freedom Tails Program and found his forever home upon graduation. I was adopted when I was 3 months old to a nice young lady who took me with her off to college. Sadly it was a little much to manage school and take care of me all at the same time so after 5 months I was brought back to PAWS. About a month later I was adopted again by a family, but was returned the next morning because my new dad thought he was going to have some help from his family but I guess they all were busy. Oh well, their loss. After that I was adopted again on 9/19/24 and I lasted a few days in my new home! But then I started to show off and may or may not have table surfed at my new house and then tried to reenact my favorite WWE wrestling match ever while my new dad was sitting in his recliner. I was just so happy! I also may have started claiming things I maybe shouldn’t have… I did mention I have 8 siblings right? Well sometimes you have to fight for what you want when your family is as big as mine was, or at least that’s the way I thought it was. I began resource guarding things in the house and would get overly moody when I had to give those items back. I have no bad intentions when I do this! I just know that when I would do this to my siblings when I was little they would back off! I thought the same technique would be perfect for humans too. Don’t get me wrong, I love you all! I haven't met a human I didn't want to run up to and get a nice belly rub from. Since my last family didn’t know how to heal with my behavior I was again returned back to PAWS. It wasn’t their fault! They just didn't know what to do or how to teach me… I sat again at the shelter from 8/14/24 - 11/2/24. Ms. Allie from PAWS walked into my kennel one day and asked if I wanted to take a trip and of course I said “YES!” We loaded up into the car and ended up here! We had to walk through a bazillion fences first. When we got through there was this man waiting for us with a big smile and leash in his hand. I pulled my way right up to him and pressed my body against his legs and demanded he pet me. This man turned out to be my new handler, “DJ” He started laughing as he bent down to give me a nice belly run, clip his leash to my collar and stood back so I could take a look at him. I looked him in the eye and with a couple of nudges on his hand, I let him know we were going to be best friends. We walked all the way to what will be my home for the next 12 weeks, stopping so I could smell this or that. There are so many humans here all wanting to say hello to me but since I was so new, I wasn;t able to say hello back even though I really wanted to. There are so many other dogs here going through the program too! I love them all. Sometimes I can’t go say hello because they’re busy with something else so I start whimpering…. I don't want any drama with my new canine friends! I made it inside to where I would be living with my two handlers DJ and Treven. I have to say, I don't know what all the fuss about prison is about. I have my own crate with a nice soft bed inside, my own shelf stocked with lots of toys and tasty treats and all of the attention a dog would ever ask for! Yup. I'm going to like my stay here. Oh! I almost forgot to mention, I also got a bath today! I LOVE THOSE! The warm water feels so good so I just stand there like a good boy while I get washed and dried afterwards. All I need now is a wonderful home to head to after graduation! I hope my story has been compelling enough to keep you interested. Stay tuned as we follow my journey though Freedom Tails! Much love, Your Pal Cooper ______________________________________________________________________________12/30/24If I had to list 5 endearing facts about Cooper I would say my favorites are - He is very friendly with humans and other dogs. He snorts and grunts when he eats. You couple probably rent him out to a sci-fi movie to do the sounds for a scary monster when he is eating. He rarely sheds his fur and when he does, it's almost invisible! He loves eating grass and mud. He seems to stay away from flowers but weeds don't stand a chance. He might be part goat. He is very smart. He focuses so intensely on you! He’s always trying to figure out what I want when I work with him. Cooper has a moderate amount of energy and is content with a few hours of play throughout the day. He loves stuffed animals and toys and I think his favorite treat would be literally anything you handed him. He loves food. What I love about him is how affectionate he is with complete strangers. He is very eager to please and will work the attention he wants from you. The fact that he never stinks like a typical dog is just the best cherry on top! I can’t say the same about his farts though… Oh boy…. ______________________________________________________________________________1/09/25 This week I am working on Cooper’s recall. He gets distracted sometimes and will take a little longer than I like to come, but he is getting better with every session. So far Cooper has mastered kennel and crate. He will also drop what he is doing the moment he hears either of these cues. His leash walking is still a work in progress. He tends to stray when he sees someone he knows but will bounce back as soon as he realizes we have stopped. He only tends to pull when he is looking for a place to potty but who can blame him for that?! On that note, Cooper is 100% potty trained and will let you know when he has to use the bathroom before having an accident.______________________________________________________________________________1/15/25Hey Everyone,I thought I would step in and let you all know how things are from my perspective. I was asked about my handler and how I feel about him. Let’s see, I really love it when he plays with me. He throws a ball, a stick, or any toy and I just love to run and get it. I really like when he lays on my bed with me to snuggle and talks to me like I’m a person. I don’t always understand him, but I try my best to nod and look him in the eyes to let him know I’m paying attention. He eats bananas and sometimes he even lets me have a bite or two after a cue of course. I have taught him to meet new people. It’s simple really, you just sit and when they reach in you lean into them and raise a paw. When they scratch your belly, watch and try it, I promise you will make tons of friends in no time. My handler loves to growl at me as a game, now I growl back. He isn’t the most active, but he isn’t a sloth either, so it fits my personality pretty well. I am pretty attached but that will happen when I spend a lot of time with anyone really. All in all, he is a good handler who pays attention to all my health, mental, and physical needs. I really am going to miss this guy.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Cooper 1/20/25Cooper will thrive in almost any sort of home. He is great with other dogs and lives to make new friends. Cooper is a resource guarder and is still learning but for the most part it is narrowed down to his food bowl with food in it. There are simple steps you can take to avoid any bad behaviors such as allowing him to eat in peace once he is given food. Having him eat in a separate room where he feels comfortable is a good idea. Cooper needs plenty of love and patience to be successful in a home. He loves soft toys but will go extra hard on them if unsupervised. Hard toys are the way to go with Cooper if he is unsupervised. Cooper loves to be with his human, but can do fine for longer periods of time alone. If he has another dog in the home, or even available close by to play with, it would be ideal. A deciding factor would be to find at least 1-2 hours a day to walk him and let him explore. He loves to meet people, perfect to be introduced to everyone to keep his social tank full. Oh yeah, above all else, love him and he will love you back. Please apply to adopt at: http://www.pawsgh.org

Meet Axel! This sweet boy is a Boston Terrier / Frenchie / Chi mix (our best guess!), but what we do know for sure is that he’s 100% heart, charm, and confidence. Axel has the most adorable ears you’ve ever seen, and his personality is just as cute. Axel has lived with a family before and did wonderfully with kids—he’s gentle, playful, and loves to be part of the fun. He’d thrive in a home with a yard where he can stretch those short legs and zoom around, but he’s just as happy going on walks or adventures with his human. He gets along well with other dogs, so he could join a home with a furry sibling—or be your loyal sidekick and best friend. If you’re looking for a sweet, spirited, family-friendly pup, Axel might just be your perfect match! Hi there, my name is Kimmy, and I’m a sweet and resilient 2-year-old female Boston Terrier, weighing just 10 lbs. I may be small, but my heart is full of hope. My journey hasn’t been easy. I was rescued from a high-kill shelter in South Korea, where I had been abandoned and left with little chance of survival. Life there was frightening—cold cages, loud barking, and never knowing if tomorrow would come. But thanks to the incredible efforts of kind-hearted rescuers, I was pulled from that shelter just in time and given a second chance. Right now, I’m still in Korea, patiently waiting for my one-way ticket to Seattle and the forever family I’ve always dreamed of. I imagine what it might be like—soft beds, kind hands, and people who will love me just as I am. I’m a gentle, affectionate soul who adores being near people. I get along beautifully with gentle children, friendly dogs, and anyone with a loving heart. I’ve been through so much, and all I want now is to belong—to finally be someone’s beloved pup. Once I arrive, I’d love nothing more than to go on walks in the park, ride in the car with the windows down, and snuggle up on the couch after a long day of making memories. I will be your loyal companion, your best friend, your little shadow. A loving, patient home would be perfect for me—someone who understands that rescued dogs need time to adjust, and who will shower me with love and kindness as I bloom into my happiest self. My adoption fee is $1,995, which covers: My spay surgery DA2PP, Rabies, and Bordetella vaccines Deworming and Heartworm test Microchip Health certificate Boarding fees in Korea Airline transport to Seattle Please note that a GPS tracker or Apple AirTag is required for all adopted dogs—you can bring your own or purchase one from us.
