Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.**Hercules** **Survivor Boy** Meet Hercules This sweet young French Bulldog-Chihuahua was dumped in the shelter. My heart sank as soon as I saw him. We are full is said to myself, "I can't save another..." Days went by, and no rescue stepped up for him. Mona mentioned he was out of time and on the list to be euthanized. I held out, just maybe someone would come for him.. NOTHING! I couldn't take it. Something in his eyes called for me. The fear, the confusion, the "knowing" that death happens here. I wrote to Mona, "Is Hercules still alive?" She said, "Let Me Check." "Yes, he is, but this is it, he is out of time, and the shelter is closing" "Mona, save him for me, please." The video says it all. He was listed as a biter. People were afraid to take a chance on him. His eyes told me he was just afraid and did not want to die." Look how thankful he is to be alive in the video. I want to find the absolute best person/couple/family for Hercules. He is young, under a year old. He needs a committed person he can give his heart to who will love him til the day he leaves this earth. If that is you, contact me. Hercules is only 10 pounds and will not likely grow any larger. He is a lapdog and a dog who will give you his soul. I will entertain a trial adoption for the right applicant. Story
Meet Apple Connie – the beautiful, sophisticated lady with the squishy bulldog face, the most cuddle-able body in the business (she’s 38 pounds of pure love!), and a personality that makes everyone she meets instantly fall for her. Around 4 years old and overflowing with charm, Apple has quickly become a favorite here at the rescue—and for good reason. She’s on a mission to make best friends of us all, one kiss and cuddle at a time. Apple is what we like to call a professional lovebug. She thrives on affection and attention and believes belly rubs are a basic human responsibility. Whether she’s sunbathing in a golden patch of light, snoozing at your feet, or gently placing her head in your lap for pets, Apple is here to be your best snuggle buddy, emotional support potato, and constant companion. See her in action here, and come back to read more! Happy Apple the loving little bulldog!!!🍎 https://youtu.be/lpshPyvlu5M?si=Z6Nli59VJo63-t5L She’s a mellow, couch-loving girl who still enjoys her daily walks, especially if it means she gets to greet new people along the way. Apple is famously gentle when taking treats, has great manners in the house, and sleeps peacefully in her crate at night. She’s potty trained, crate-trained, and learning her leash skills like a champ—especially since she’s highly food-motivated and eager to please. Apple gets along well with other dogs, especially once she’s had time to settle in. She prefers calm playmates who match her easygoing vibe—none of that big-dog, high-speed chaos for her, thank you very much. She’s more of a “let’s stroll around the yard and then nap in the shade” kind of gal. Now, about cats—Apple says, “no thank you.” She has officially decided that feline roommates are not her thing, and we respect that. We all have our boundaries, and Apple’s just happen to involve fur that meows. She’s also a natural in public and doesn’t mind being the center of attention (she assumes the admiration is well-deserved—and she’s not wrong). Whether riding calmly in the car, walking through the neighborhood like a local celebrity, or even being picked up or dressed up for Halloween, Apple takes it all in stride. She’s the perfect blend of classy and goofy. While she’s happy to share her space with another chill dog, Apple’s biggest requirement is a loving human (or several!) who will spoil her with affection and maybe share the couch. She’d love a yard for sunbathing, a home that understands the value of quality nap time, and people who will appreciate her quiet loyalty and subtle humor. She’s the kind of dog who will look into your soul and then... fall asleep on your feet. Apple Connie isn’t just ready for her forever home—she’s ready to move in and steal your heart. If you’re looking for a dog who will be your shadow, your best friend, and your most loyal cuddle companion, Apple is your girl. Ready to bring a new furry friend into your life? Story
Now Fostered in Hampton New Jersey! Calling all Bulldog lovers! The ones who love personality in tiny bodies, big ears, smooshy faces, and snuggles galore. His name is Otto Teddy and he's every bulldog lovers dream. Not only is he incredibly cute but he's got the best bubbly personality to match! Watch his video and fall in love with this fun little dude: https://youtu.be/K70egr-AgSo?si=P4LpL4ACeAXos-FL Otto Teddy is a Bulldog mix approximately 1 year old and currently weighs 36 lbs. He is a rescue dog and with any rescue, it’s always a mystery and we cannot guarantee breed or age. We do know Otto Teddy has such a huge heart, a joyful spirit, and a personality that keeps life entertaining in the very best way. Otto Teddy is currently thriving in a foster home and showing just how special he is. He’s playful, affectionate, and deeply people-oriented. Otto Teddy is a friendly, happy boy who loves spending time with his humans. He’s very food-motivated (a bag of treats goes a long way with this guy!), which makes him eager to learn and fun to train. He already comes when called, does wonderfully in a crate, and enjoys engaging with his people through positive reinforcement. He’s also living successfully alongside cats in foster care, so he could be a great addition to a multi-pet household. Playtime is one of Otto Teddy’s favorite things. He’s a character when he’s playing with toys, especially balls and loves a good game of tug-of-war. He’s adventurous, playful, and completely unbothered by the weather. Rain, cold, or snow? No problem. In fact, Otto Teddy seems to think snowy playtime is extra fun. When the day winds down, he’s more than happy to switch gears and settle in for cuddles and quality time. Otto Teddy does very well with children and most strangers when introductions are thoughtful and paced. Like many young dogs, he benefits from clear routines and gentle guidance as he continues building confidence. He’s still polishing his potty training and leash skills, and with consistency, frequent outings, and structure, he continues to make steady progress. As a true bulldog-type boy, Otto Teddy is full of personality and a playful, vocal way of communicating, especially during play or moments of excitement. He’s looking for an adopter who understands and appreciates bulldog quirks and is ready to provide structure, boundaries, and consistency to help him thrive. Otto Teddy’s favorite things include: • Toys (especially balls) • Tug-of-war • Treats (all of them!) • Outdoor adventures in any weather • Snuggling with his people Otto Teddy would do best with a family who enjoys an expressive, affectionate dog and is excited to guide a young bulldog mix through the rest of his puppyhood with patience and love. In return, he’ll bring laughter, loyalty, and endless personality to his forever home Application: https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/693adedf48616a10030a54a2 Questions? Story
Alaska is a little girl who came running to the shelter to hide, we assume she was scared after being run over. At first glance we saw that she had a fracture in her hind leg, her first visit to the vet was to prepare her for an amputation, since her leg was beyond repair. After her recovery, she began to prepare to find her new home, currently she already has her vaccinations up to date, she is spayed and ready. She is a very pampered dog, like a big girl, waiting for love, affection and lots of cuddles, she likes to go for walks, eager to see new places, always happy, following you everywhere. She is very curious, elated to see you, and such an adorable, smart little girl. The fact that she is missing her leg does not stop her, she runs, plays and can even jump, she has adapted quite well to her new life. She is still a puppy, she will barely be a year old, she will not grow any more, she is medium, around 28 pounds. The $550.00 adoption fee covers the following: Transport to Oregon or Washington. Spay/Neuter. All vaccines up to date. Deworming (puppies 2 sets). Flea medication up to date. Tick control up to date. Microchip. Microchip registration to new owner paid for. Collar. Temporary leash.

Story
FOREVER HOME NEEDED (currently in foster care) Meet Biscuit, a 6.5 year-old Frenchie that her foster family affectionately calls "Grubs" . She's cute, short/small and a little pudgy ~ a big girl in small dog's body. She's pretty wrinkly and makes funny grumbling noises. You will not find a more affectionate bulldog! Gubs is originally from an overcrowded shelter in CA and has been a mamma before. Her eye was missing long before she arrived at our rescue, and the eye injury site is very stable and does not require any monitoring or maintenance. She's extremely affectionate and will want to crawl into your lap for cuddles and kisses. She's very cute and loves affection from people but will brawl with other dogs for affection. She's pretty good about food boundaries with other dogs. She is house-trained but can be lazy and will need supervision. She really like her potty-pad. Grubs is currently in a home with 3 other dogs, two little chihuahua mixes and an English Bulldog. She will compete for attention so her adopters will need to be careful to give her attention and affection at the right time. The foster's manage well in the household by not giving in to her triggers but we do think that she would do best as an only dog in the home. Grub will require a family who will keep her active (she loves to walk) and has brachycephalic dog ownership experience. She would do best as the only dog in the home but with regular access to other dogs so that she will remain well socialized. Grubs does well with other dogs as long as there is good leadership and monitoring. She likes her small foster sibling much more than her large english bulldog foster sibling She's has had a vet checkup. She was severely overweight at 42lb at her highest. She's down to about 25lbs. She's small framed for a Frenchie. She is spayed, microchipped and up to date on her vaccinations. Her adoption fee is $500.
