Story
Meet Ian – Your Slightly Wonky, Totally Wonderful Adventure Buddy If you like piña coladas and getting caught in the rain… Ian might just be your perfect match. This little Boston Terrier mix lives life full throttle—zooming through the yard like he’s racing in the Indy 500, making pit stops in imaginary swamps with Shrek, and embracing every muddy, joy-filled moment along the way (bonus points if you don’t mind getting a little dirty with him). Ian is a young, playful pup with a heart as big as his personality. He came into rescue with a shattered hip that has since healed, leaving him with an adorable “wonky” gait. When he runs, his back leg sometimes flails out to the side—but it doesn’t slow him down one bit. If anything, it just makes him even more unforgettable. Personality & Play Style: Ian is a social, toy-loving goofball who thrives on fun. He always has a toy in his mouth—seriously, always. He’ll take them outside, bring them back in, and politely “check” them at the door until you hand them back. He loves playing with other dogs, especially games of chase and keep-away. After playtime, Ian enjoys winding down with his favorite toy and appreciates a little personal space during his chill time. Because of this, he’d do best with a laid-back, respectful dog companion—especially one around his size or slightly smaller who won’t bother him when he’s relaxing. Snuggles Included: Once the zoomies are out, Ian is all about couch time. He’ll curl up beside you, toy in tow, and drift off while you watch TV. The perfect mix of playful and snuggly. Communication Style (aka his signature move): Ian has the best voice—a raspy, screechy, baby pterodactyl sound that he proudly uses to let you know when he’s ready to come out of his crate or needs a potty break. It’s hilarious, endearing, and very effective. He’ll also quietly go sit by the door, so keep an eye out—he’s a good boy who just needs you to notice his polite signals. Mealtime & Care: Ian is an enthusiastic foodie, so he uses a slow feeder bowl to keep mealtime safe and comfortable. Medical Transparency: Due to his past injury, Ian has diabetes insipidus. The good news: • No injections required • Managed with oral medication twice daily • Just needs a few extra potty breaks His condition is well-managed, and he’s living a happy, active, zoomie-filled life. The Perfect Home for Ian: • An active home that enjoys play, laughter, and a little chaos • A consistent adopter who can manage his simple medical routine • A respectful dog companion—or he’d love being your one and only • Someone who appreciates a quirky, lovable personality Ian isn’t just a dog—he’s an experience. He’ll make you laugh daily, keep life interesting, and then curl up next to you like he’s always belonged there. Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)

Story
Our sweet Dixie was found as a stray on the loud and scary streets of Houston. She was brought to a high-kill shelter but was saved from euthanasia just in the nick of time. She was brought up to our foster in Salem OR, where, for the first time in her life, she was finally safe and loved. When we first met her, she was scared and unsure of the world around her. But today she is a HAPPY baby who loves playing with other dogs and soaking up all the love she can get. At first, she can be a little nervous around new humans, but with a little time and some yummy treats, she warms up pretty quickly. She is incredibly smart and highly food motivated. She learned how to walk on a leash in a single day and then how to "sit" the next day in just a couple of hours. She is a year old but still has the puppy playfulness and curiosity. She has learned to LOVE going for walks and running and playing with other dogs. But she also loves napping, chewing on her bones and snuggling on the couch. Dixie has the cutest underbite, which causes her lip to get caught on her teefs. Her nose has the slightest upturn, and her eyes are slightly turned outward. She is literally one-of-a kind, and we think she is just perfectly imperfect. She has been spayed, fully vaccinated, and microchipped. She is potty trained, leash trained, and crate trained. She is currently fostered with dogs and a cat, so we know she is good with them. Based on her docile temperament, we believe she would be perfect with kids too but may need some time to warm up before she played with them. Dixie is currently in a foster home in Salem, Oregon. She is available for meet and greets with approved applicants. Dogs like Dixie are the reason rescue matters. One chance can change everything. If you have fallen madly in love and would like to make this baby girl a part of your family, then please fill out an adoption application found at SpringBranchRescue.org or email rachel.springbranchrescue@gmail.com for more information about her. ##2735778##

Story
Hi! I’m Rosie! I’m 9 years old and weigh 21lbs. Everyone who meets me says I’m a total sweetheart, and I’ll make you smile all day long! I get along great with other dogs, and am highly social - as long as the dogs are well socialized, we will get along great! Cats and kids, though, are not for me. I’ve never been around either and they make me nervous, so I want to chase them down! Not a good situation for any of us! But I really, really love people. I love to snuggle on the couch or in bed just as much as I love taking walks. I currently walk two times a day with my foster family for 1-1.5 miles each time. I would LOVE to be your walking buddy. I’m also a super smart girl, which can get me in a little trouble! I can open my crate by myself, and now my mom has to use an extra latch to keep me safe in there. I can open doors and gates, so I’m what the rescue calls a “high flight risk,” I just love mischief! But it could be unsafe for me to get out, so it’s important that I be kept safe and secure and that my family is very mindful of this. I’m house trained and mostly crate trained. Like I said, I can get out of my crate, but I can also be trusted to be left out in the house for short periods of time. I’d do best with someone who works from home so I can be near them all day. Plus then we can take walks when they need a break! Here's a little more about me: Housetrained? Yes Leash-trained? Yes Rides well in a car? Yes Good with other dogs? Yes Good with cats? No Good with young children? No Good with strangers? Yes Shy or confident? Confident Apartment Friendly? No, I like to have time outside in my yard in addition to my walks. Story
Meet Briggs! He is a 8 year old boston terrier that I have been fostering for the past few months. He is super sweet and loves to be around people as much as he can. He follows me around the house everywhere I go, even to the bathroom if I would let him. lol His best trait is that he's smiles with his underbite when you pet him. See photo :) While he has been ok around other dogs, he does have anxious tendencies so I think it would be best if he goes to a home as an only dog. If you have a dog, he would need to be around a dog that is layed back. I haven't seen him around cats so unsure if that would be ok. Also I think it would be best if he goes to a home to an owner that works from home or a home that has someone at home most days of the week. Briggs is crate trained but definately prefers to sleep in the bed with humans, he does fine either way. Briggs does ok on a leash but does have some pulling tendencies, with a little work/training that could easily be corrected.

Story
**Lily and Vanilla Bean** Looking for the ultimate lapdogs? Seeking a couple of loving pups who will be completely devoted and want to be wherever you are? Lily and Vanilla Bean are a wonderful Mom-and-Daughter pair who adore each other and bond deeply with their human(s). They love to play with one another while cuddling on a bed or while you watch television. They love to run in the sun and chase one another or play chase with you and fetch toys. These two girls will melt the souls of the folks who take them home. They have the sweetest personalities and even though they may be playing with one another, they are happiest when they can share their time with their person. They will make excellent companions for people who work from home or who are retired. They adore attention and become very outgoing once they overcome their initial shyness.  Lily and Beanie are Italian Greyhound mixes. Lily is approx. 1-year-old and about 9 pounds, while Beanie is @3-4 years old and 15 pounds. "Beany" is Lily's mom, and they get along so well. They need to be adopted and kept together. These girls are so happy to be alive, out of the shelter, receiving love, attention, and awesome food. They begin a little timid and shy. Then, over a few days, they open up and want to be right in your lap. Once they settle in, they roll over for belly rubs and are so excited to be your very special buddies.  Whoever adopts this pair is winning the Jackpot!!   Lily and Beany have a bonded pair adoption fee of $550.00. They are up to date on their vaccines and spayed.  To apply to adopt this wonderful pair, please fill out an application on our website: www.smallpupsrescue.org May 27, 2026, 12:20 am

Story
My adult daughter (that lived with me) got Bishop from someone in her AA meeting that worked a lot and kept him in a crate all day. She has since reconciled with her partner and has moved back with him and her children. They can’t have pets, so I’ve been caring for him as best I can. I’ve never had pets because I’m very busy traveling for work. Bishop, we believe, is a French Bulldog mix that is between 1-2 years old. He is very social and cannot get enough attention and love. He is very friendly to all people, but can get excited/aggressive towards other dogs depending on their temper. Bishop loves to be active, so a fenced yard or frequent walks are very beneficial as well as a family member that is home most of the time. We don’t know Bishop’s medical history. The only thing that is obvious is, what I’ve heard called “cherry eye” which is visible in the pictures.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Bonjour! I’m Jacque — a French Bulldog with a big heart and a soft spot for naps. I was born on October 15, 2024, and I’m just starting to discover how fun life can be. I came here with my brother after our previous owner realized they couldn’t care for us financially. When we arrived, we both had some pretty rough skin issues, including hair loss and fleas. But don’t worry—I’m already on the road to feeling much better and getting healthier every day! I’m a very sweet boy, and I’m learning what love, playtime, and affection are all about. It’s all still a little new to me, but I like it… a lot. Frenchies like me are usually playful, silly, and full of energy—and I’m sure that side of me will come out more and more as I gain confidence. Right now, my absolute favorite thing to do is curl up on my doggy couch and take a good nap. It’s kind of my specialty. I do not know how to walk on a leash. My previously family never showed me what a leash was, so I will need some training.  I’m neutered, vaccinated, current on ProHeart 12, protected with Bravecto, and I tested negative on my 4DX—so I’m all set to find my forever home! My adoption fee is $500. If you’re ready to welcome me into your life, you can apply at www.adoggie4you.org . I’m currently in Texas, but I can be transported to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cincinnati, Lexington, KY, or along the East Coast. If I need a ride, there’s an additional $250 transport fee. (I can’t travel to Rhode Island or Massachusetts due to regulations.)Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 1, 2026, 6:14 pm
