Story
NEWBIE ALERT!! Meet Ellie! This sweet girl lost her momma and sadly is now looking for a new home to calm her own. She is a purebred boxer. She is going on 5 years old and weighs 60 lbs. Ellie is a total sweetheart. She has grew up in a calmer — older household and likely that is what will be best for her. She’s never been around small children or cats. She does well with dogs if properly introduced and has done well at doggy daycare. She prefers women over men but isn’t aggressive to anyone. She is crate trained and will use a doggy door. She’s a chill and laid back girl. Breed experience is preferred. Ellie is yes, hw neg (tested below detectable levels) and spayed.  Our adoptions are NOT on a first come first serve basis and there is no fee to apply! We never state any animal is fully House-trained. New environments, situations, families, routines, ect. can lead to accidents even with the most well trained animals.  All dogs have a $175 adoption fee which includes vet check, age appropriate shots (atleast 2 sets for puppies), dewormer, heartworm test (if over 6 months), rabies (if atleast 16 weeks) and spay/neuter! Wags and Whiskers is an all-volunteer rescue. Please allow us time to respond to all inquires and applications! Thank you! Story
Meet Brownie, the big-hearted boy who’s been through a lot but still radiates pure love. At 3 years old and a solid 80 pounds, Brownie is a gentle giant with a spirit that shines as brightly as his warm brown eyes. Brownie was dumped outside our shelter gate after hours. We immediately noticed Brownie had suffered severe puncture wounds to his neck, but he’s healing like a champ and has shown nothing but sweetness despite everything he's endured. We don’t know what this brave boy has been through, but we know he deserves a future filled with love, safety, and endless belly rubs. Brownie is ready to start the next chapter of his life with a family who loves big dogs and has a big heart to match! He’s neutered, knows how to sit, and loves nothing more than treats and cuddles. He’s also a social butterfly, getting along well with other dogs and even cats. Brownie is the definition of a good boy—loyal, loving, and ready to be your new best friend. If you’ve got room in your heart and home for this special pup come meet him today and give him the happy ending he so deserves. By adopting me today you will save the life of two pets -- you'll save me and that will make room for the Shelter to rescue and save another pet.
