Story
She is a very good dog. She is very sweet and loves to cuddle. She has allergies and we have found that IAMs in the green bags are best for her. She has cauliflower ear. We have been treating her for ear for a yeast infection. She also has special shampoo she needs to use. She is very skiddish. We think she was abused before we adopted her, but she loves everyone.

Story
Jazzy is a tan and white boxer mix puppy with a bold spirit and a contagious sense of fun. With her soulful eyes, bouncy gait, and ears that perk up at every sound, she brings a vibrant energy wherever she goes. She’s the kind of pup who’s always in motion—chasing toys, exploring every corner of the yard, or trying to make friends with anything that moves. Jazzy has a natural rhythm to her playfulness and a fierce loyalty to her people, often curling up next to them after a long day of adventures. She’s equal parts mischief and heart, always keeping you on your toes and laughing at her antics.Named after the unforgettable Jazz from The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Jazzy carries that same cool confidence and unapologetic flair. Just like her namesake, she’s full of personality—unpredictable, hilarious, and totally lovable. She’s got a knack for showing up at just the right moment, often with muddy paws and a look that says, “What’d I miss?” Whether she’s getting into playful trouble or striking a pose with her signature head tilt, Jazzy is the ultimate scene-stealer. She may be small now, but she’s already got the attitude and presence of a true star.ADOPTION PACKAGEThank you for your interest in adopting your next pet from The Haven. Story
NEWBIE ALERT!! Meet Buddy. Sadly, he was surrendered when his family could no longer care for him. He is super friendly, loves people and other dogs. He is 18 lbs. He is silent in his crate and doing great with house and crate training. Did fine with a cat in the house. Very treat motivated.  His owners did a DNA test and he’s terrier and boxer mix. He’s around 4 months old now. He is  utd, neutered and ready for the perfect forever home.  Our adoptions are NOT on a first come first serve basis and there is no fee to apply! We never state any animal is fully House-trained. New environments, situations, families, routines, ect. can lead to accidents even with the most well trained animals.  All dogs have a $195 adoption fee which includes vet check, age appropriate shots (atleast 2 sets for puppies), dewormer, heartworm test (if over 6 months), rabies (if atleast 16 weeks) and spay/neuter! Wags and Whiskers is an all-volunteer rescue. Please allow us time to respond to all inquires and applications! Thank you! Story
Who wants a donut? Or a pup? Or a donut AND a pup? Meet Maggie, a 4 year old boxer/pittie mix who is basically joy wrapped in fur, with a squeaky toy permanently on her mind. This sweet, beautiful girl had a rough start after being abandoned and found with her puppies in a tote by a trash can, but you’d never know it by her big heart and even bigger personality. Maggie is affectionate, outgoing, and believes kisses are best given freely and often. She is obsessed with toys (the squeakier the better), which explains the donut toy proudly featured in her photo, and she’s also a big fan of treats—who isn’t? Maggie seems interested in other dogs, so bring yours by for a meet and greet to see if sparks fly, but she’s looking for a kitty-free home. What Maggie really needs now is someone to choose her, fill a basket with toys, and give her the loving forever home she deserves. Come meet Maggie and see if she’s the missing sprinkle on your life. By adopting me today you will save the life of two pets -- you'll save me and that will make room for the Shelter to rescue and save another pet.

Story
Charlie was pulled from a rural shelter in Louisiana, due to be euthanized Oct 2023. Fostered with six other dogs until Jan 2024, when placed in forever home. A year later, was picked up by Animal Control after being hit by a car- new owner never looked for him, nor updated his microchip. Had extensive injuries, lost an eye; had developed anxiety issues, manifested as resource guarding, which causes issues with our senior male dogs. Has attended training classes, and also boarded and trained for ten weeks. Charlie is best being an only dog, but could be ok with an assertive and nonreactive female, a puppy or a cat. Currently muzzle training to prepare for socialization practice. Sensitive boy takes treats very gently, excellent with leash running and walking. Behaves well in social settings, vet's office. OK in home when alone. Takes Prozac daily for mental health, this is ESSENTIAL and must be continued. Very loving and protective of his family and his home. About three years old.
