Story
Name: LolliBreed: Boxer/Pit mixSex/Age/Weight: Female, approximately 4 years old, approx. 59 lbsVetting: Spayed, up-to-date on vaccinations, heartworm negative and on heartworm prevention, and microchippedHouse trained/Crate Trained: Yes/YesBefore FAR: I was rescued from the Baldwin County Animal Shelter when I was pregnant with 12 puppies. All my puppies have found their furever homes, and now it’s my turn!Energy Level: I am a low to medium energy dog. I do get excited when I play with my foster fur siblings, especially outside, but I know when it is time to calm down. When I'm not playing, I do very well with relaxing with my humans or chewing on a bone. Things that make me happy: I love getting pets and belly rubs! I LOVE being with my people and tend to stick close to them whenever I can. I also love playing with my fur siblings or playing fetch in the yard with a ball or a stick. I LOVE water and will try to drink from the hose when you water your plants!Things that make my humans happy: I am very sweet and loving. I love to snuggle up on the couch with you. I am so incredibly soft and fun to pet, and I love being pet too. I am playful and always ready for an adventure!Training status: I am VERY well trained, both off and on leash. I know sit, down, here (recall command), drop (for fetch), and place; I will also hold these commands reliably during duration work. I am very food motivated which makes me eager and easy to train! Dogs: I love the other dogs in my foster home and I am friendly with all dogs I meet! I have great social skills with other dogs, but a meet and greet with future siblings would be best to make sure they can handle my energy.Cats: When I was cat tested I tried to play too rough with them, so I would do best in a home without cats.Kids: I have never been around children, but I think I would love them!Ideal Family/Home: I would be a wonderful addition to just about any home! I do well with all humans and dogs I have met. Story
Hi everyone! My name is Merry, and I just wanted to make sure that y’all know that I am looking for my furever home. Yep, that’s right. Can you believe that no one has snatched me up yet? All of us pups in my family have been in our awesome foster home since we were born. So we’ve waited for weeks to get big enough and ready to get adopted. And now my sisters and I are waiting for our furever homes. Just so you know, I am a GREAT pup. I am happy all the time, and my foster mom says I am very “social”. I guess she says that because I love everyone. I love my foster family and I really love playing with the other puppies and all the big dogs. I love being held and cuddled. But what I really really want most is to move on to what my foster mom says will be my “furever home”. I want a place where I can stay forever with people who want ME! So are you looking for a great pup? If so, I am your girl! I am living with my foster family in Macon (GA), but I am ready to pack my bags and move to my furever home.Merry’s mom is a 55-60 pound sweetheart (possibly Black Mouth Cur and Boxer), and dad is unknown. But whatever breed mix Merry is, she’s a cutie! Merry and her littermates are happy, social pups. Merry is current on her vetting – she is spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccines worming and preventatives. Merry is also crate trained and doing good on becoming house trained. She deserves someone who can lavish time and energy on her, and who will make sure that they can give her plenty of exercise and play time, and training. Her new family should also have time to focus on socialization and training to make sure that Merry is the best family member she can be. If you currently have family pets, please note that our rescue requires that our adopters’ current pets are up-to-date on vaccinations and preventatives, and spayed or neutered. If you have been searching for a puppy and have time to spend training a young pup, go to the link below fill out an application. This little girl is a sweetheart who would be a good fit for a family with or without other dogs and with or without children. When you submit your application, it is best to do so via a computer. We have experienced some problems when applications have been submitted using a mobile device. When you submit the application, you are not obligated to adopt; however, it does put you in the queue for the puppy that you are interested in. And it helps us make sure that you and the puppy would be a good fit together. If you have any questions, please contact us and we will be glad to help!http://fureverafterrescue.org/adoption-application.html

Story
Nova was adopted from animal control just as her time there was running out. The family that adopted lost their home to a fire and has to relocate. They could not afford the pet deposit so we are assisting in finding Nova a new home. She is still very much a puppy and would do best in a home where she gets lots of attention. She plays well with other dogs but because she doesn’t understand everything doesn’t want to play with her she would do best in a home without cats or small dogs. She loves dogs toys even though she destroys them. She is very affectionate and loving.

Story
Bear is about 3 years old. He was adopted as a puppy at 12 weeks old from another rescue. He grew up in same home as an inside dog. Then a family member moved in with the family who was afraid of dogs. So bear was owner Surrendered to a kill shelter . Days away from euthanasia we took him in and he was safe. As we always do scared him for a chip and found he had one😔 I contacted the previous owner and wanted to know if he knew Bear was in the shelter. Sad part was he put him there 😩. This boy is the sweetest precious baby ever. He is house trained doggie door trained and even recliner trained. Bear deserves a human and home that won’t fail him again. If you are interested in this handsome boy please contact us at dogs. Rescueranch@gmail.com please give 24 hours for response also include all contact information 🐶

DARCY is a sweetheart, who likes to take walks and loves to play with her ball. Darcy came to us off the street with pretty much no hair at all but, she is now fit, healthy and ready for a forever home. Darcy is a sweet, gentle girl who has a lot of love to give. Darcy’s new home will need a fenced yard so, she can stretch her legs and exercise a bit to keep up her girlish figure. House trained/Crate Trained: Still working on house training. Otto is very good in a crate.Dogs/Cats/Children: Otto is good with other dogs. Very curious around cats and chickens but doesn’t seem to want to hurt them. He’s only been around older children but loved them.Energy Level: Otto is a medium energy dog, loves to play and he gives hugs. Before FAR/My History: I was found as a stray in Baldwin County, and I am thought to be the father of the Super K's litter. Training Status/Commands I know: I know my name and respond and come when called.Working on: Jumping on people, house breaking and leash mannersThings I like: Playing with tennis and any other sort of balls! LOVES playing with other dogs. He’s also VERY food motivated and loves treats. Things I don’t like: He seems to not have anything he doesn't like..Things that make my humans happy: Snuggles! He seems to just love and want to be around people all the time!Ideal Family/Home: Otto is a medium energetic and playful boy so he would do great with an active family with a fenced yard who understands this and is willing to work with him on his leash manners and give him the time he needs to run and play. A home with other dogs would be ideal because he absolutely LOVES playing with other dogs.If you are interested in giving Otto a forever home, please visit the link below to fill out an application! http://fureverafterrescue.org/adoption-application.html It is best to submit an application through a computer. Story
Name: HazelBreed: Pit Bull Mix (Best guess)Sex/Age/Weight: Female, 6 years old, about 40 lbs Vetting: Fully vetted, HW Negative, spayed, microchippedHouse trained/Crate trained: I love my crate and am happy to sleep and eat there, especially if I've got a good bone to chew to keep me occupied! I haven't had an accident inside the house in YEARS! Dogs/Cats/Children: I prefer dogs that are big, calm, and friendly! Little dogs, cats, and young kids scare me. None of those please! Energy Level: I love to play fetch with my ball and play with my toys, but I'm also happy to couch-potato around for most of the day. I'm also really good at keeping myself occupied and will even throw the ball for myself or run zoomie laps in the yard if you're too busy to play. Before FAR: My foster mom found me asking for food at the neighbor's house. I was super skinny and had been on the street for a while, but no one would feed me because they couldn't have a dog and wanted me to go away. My foster mom took me in, got me healthy, taught me all the important house rules, and now I'm ready for my forever home! Training Status: I REALLY want to do whatever makes you happy, so I'm really easy to train! I have good recall, can "drop it" on command (even the good stuff, like balls and treats!), and I know "Off", "Go to your room", "Leave it", "Stay", and "Wait". My foster mom taught me that it's not nice to jump on people without their permission (sometimes I still forget!), so she taught me the command "Jump!" where I leap into your arms so you can hold me like a baby! It's my favorite trick and makes me REALLY happy! Things I like: I LOVE balls and toys! I will get them out every day and play with them and I'm pretty hilarious if I do say so myself! I also love to chew bones. But my FAVORITE thing is humans!! I can be happy for hours cuddling on the couch and staring lovingly into the eyes of any (adult) human who will pet me! Oh, and I love to give kisses!Things I don't like: Sometimes when a dog I don't know well gets up in my face, I get really mad! I need really careful, slow introductions and prefer to just hang out with my own pack. Dog parks are NOT my jam! Little kids are weird and unpredictable and that freaks me out. I'd prefer my humans fully grown, please!Ideal Family: I would love a family with one or two bigger dogs to be my friends! A pack of my very own! I don't want to be in charge and I'd like to have a stable, friendly big brother or sister to look up to. I'd also be okay with being the only dog and wouldn't even mind living in an apartment (I'm really quiet most of the time!), as long as I get lots of exercise when my human is home! I don't think I would mind older kids or teenagers in the home, but I've never really met any of those. I'd be willing to give it a shot if it means getting my very own family!Special Notes: You'll be happy to know I'm not afraid of storms or loud noises and I don't mind you leaving me to go to work (as long as you bring me home "the bacon"!). I don't shed very much at all and I love wearing sweaters and jackets in the winter (cuz my belly is naked and I get cold!). I'm not really that food motivated, so I'm not too interested in counter surfing or getting into the trash. Oh, and I know the difference between things that are mine (like toys and bones) and things that are yours (like shoes and chargers), but if I make a mistake at the beginning, just let me know and I won't do it again! I take my human's rules very seriously!
