Story
Name: LolliBreed: Boxer/Pit mixSex/Age/Weight: Female, approximately 4 years old, approx. 59 lbsVetting: Spayed, up-to-date on vaccinations, heartworm negative and on heartworm prevention, and microchippedHouse trained/Crate Trained: Yes/YesBefore FAR: I was rescued from the Baldwin County Animal Shelter when I was pregnant with 12 puppies. All my puppies have found their furever homes, and now it’s my turn!Energy Level: I am a low to medium energy dog. I do get excited when I play with my foster fur siblings, especially outside, but I know when it is time to calm down. When I'm not playing, I do very well with relaxing with my humans or chewing on a bone. Things that make me happy: I love getting pets and belly rubs! I LOVE being with my people and tend to stick close to them whenever I can. I also love playing with my fur siblings or playing fetch in the yard with a ball or a stick. I LOVE water and will try to drink from the hose when you water your plants!Things that make my humans happy: I am very sweet and loving. I love to snuggle up on the couch with you. I am so incredibly soft and fun to pet, and I love being pet too. I am playful and always ready for an adventure!Training status: I am VERY well trained, both off and on leash. I know sit, down, here (recall command), drop (for fetch), and place; I will also hold these commands reliably during duration work. I am very food motivated which makes me eager and easy to train! Dogs: I love the other dogs in my foster home and I am friendly with all dogs I meet! I have great social skills with other dogs, but a meet and greet with future siblings would be best to make sure they can handle my energy.Cats: When I was cat tested I tried to play too rough with them, so I would do best in a home without cats.Kids: I have never been around children, but I think I would love them!Ideal Family/Home: I would be a wonderful addition to just about any home! I do well with all humans and dogs I have met. Could you be my furever family? If you are interested in giving Lolli a forever home, please visit the link below to fill out an application! http://fureverafterrescue.org/adoption-application.html It is best to submit an application through a computer. Story
Hi everyone! My name is Merry, and I just wanted to make sure that y’all know that I am looking for my furever home. Yep, that’s right. Can you believe that no one has snatched me up yet? All of us pups in my family have been in our awesome foster home since we were born. So we’ve waited for weeks to get big enough and ready to get adopted. And now my sisters and I are waiting for our furever homes. Just so you know, I am a GREAT pup. I am happy all the time, and my foster mom says I am very “social”. I guess she says that because I love everyone. I love my foster family and I really love playing with the other puppies and all the big dogs. I love being held and cuddled. But what I really really want most is to move on to what my foster mom says will be my “furever home”. I want a place where I can stay forever with people who want ME! So are you looking for a great pup? If so, I am your girl! I am living with my foster family in Macon (GA), but I am ready to pack my bags and move to my furever home.Merry’s mom is a 55-60 pound sweetheart (possibly Black Mouth Cur and Boxer), and dad is unknown. But whatever breed mix Merry is, she’s a cutie! Merry and her littermates are happy, social pups. Merry is current on her vetting – she is spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccines worming and preventatives. Merry is also crate trained and doing good on becoming house trained. She deserves someone who can lavish time and energy on her, and who will make sure that they can give her plenty of exercise and play time, and training. Her new family should also have time to focus on socialization and training to make sure that Merry is the best family member she can be. If you currently have family pets, please note that our rescue requires that our adopters’ current pets are up-to-date on vaccinations and preventatives, and spayed or neutered. If you have been searching for a puppy and have time to spend training a young pup, go to the link below fill out an application. This little girl is a sweetheart who would be a good fit for a family with or without other dogs and with or without children. When you submit your application, it is best to do so via a computer. We have experienced some problems when applications have been submitted using a mobile device. When you submit the application, you are not obligated to adopt; however, it does put you in the queue for the puppy that you are interested in. And it helps us make sure that you and the puppy would be a good fit together. If you have any questions, please contact us and we will be glad to help!http://fureverafterrescue.org/adoption-application.html

Story
RoxanaBoxer Female DOB: 1/23/2022Adoption Fee: $200 Roxana was found as a stray with two other dogs and she was picked up by Animal Control. She was completely emaciated and she was taken in by a very kind foster mom! She steadily gained weight and blossomed into a healthier, much happier dog. She's here at the shelter and her sweet, loving personality continues to grow everyday! She loves a good car ride to see all of the beautiful scenery! She is amazing with cats and can be selective with dogs. She would do best in a home as an only dog due to her being protective of her favorite humans. Roxana is Heartworm Positive and will begin treatment in the fall. The cost of this will be covered by the Humane Society. Does Roxana sound like the perfect girl for you? Are you the one with a kind heart to get this girl through? Please come by and meet her and you'll fall in love! Please read the animal bios completely before requesting additional information as we do our best to answer the most frequently ask questions in these bios. In order to adopt one of our animals an application must be submitted and approved. You can find these applications by going to http://humanemorgan.org/index.php?page=adoption ABOUT ADOPTING FROM THE HSMC: The shelter address is 1170 Fairground Rd. Madison, GA 30650. For more information on any of our pets, please feel free to email us at INFO@HUMANEMORGAN.ORG give us a call at 706-343-9977. All dogs are heartworm negative, current on vaccines/dewormings, and microchipped. All cats are FeLv/FIV negative, current on vaccines/dewormings, and microchipped. We are open 10am-5pm Monday-Saturday, we schedule our last adoption at 4pm everyday to allow our staff enough time to feed and walk dogs. We are an animal shelter and therefore are not able to individually potty train our residents. Many adult dogs do arrive “house broken” however due to animal behavior any change in environment will make an emotional impact on the animals and therefore initiate unwanted behaviors during the acclamation period. Please keep this in mind. Puppies do not have the biological maturity to maintain absolute bladder or bowel control and will require a certain degree of potty training and house breaking. Please consider the time and commitment it takes to provide the necessary building blocks for these special babies, prior to submitting your application. If you have any questions please email us at info@humanemorgan.org and provide name of the animal you are interested in, in the subject line. Thank you, HSMC Staff ADOPTION FEES Adoption Fees may change without notice. Story
Nova was adopted from animal control just as her time there was running out. The family that adopted lost their home to a fire and has to relocate. They could not afford the pet deposit so we are assisting in finding Nova a new home. She is still very much a puppy and would do best in a home where she gets lots of attention. She plays well with other dogs but because she doesn’t understand everything doesn’t want to play with her she would do best in a home without cats or small dogs. She loves dogs toys even though she destroys them. She is very affectionate and loving.

Story
Bear is about 3 years old. He was adopted as a puppy at 12 weeks old from another rescue. He grew up in same home as an inside dog. Then a family member moved in with the family who was afraid of dogs. So bear was owner Surrendered to a kill shelter . Days away from euthanasia we took him in and he was safe. As we always do scared him for a chip and found he had one😔 I contacted the previous owner and wanted to know if he knew Bear was in the shelter. Sad part was he put him there 😩. This boy is the sweetest precious baby ever. He is house trained doggie door trained and even recliner trained. Bear deserves a human and home that won’t fail him again. If you are interested in this handsome boy please contact us at dogs. Rescueranch@gmail.com please give 24 hours for response also include all contact information 🐶

Milo is the SWEETEST boy in the entire world. He deserves the most loving family, as he has so much love to give. He was left with me 2 weeks ago after living outside for a majority of his life, and I just wish I could take care of him but I unfortunately cannot. I am a college student and don’t have the time or money to give him the life he deserves. Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions! I want to find my sweet amazing boy a loving home🩷
