Bubba is friendly and full of energy. Bubba would be best suited in an active household with no children or other pets. Bubba has a lot of energy and needs someone who is willing to exercise him and has a fenced yard where he can safely go outside. Bubba is potty trained, crate trained, and is used to using a doggie door. Bubba needs someone who has the flexibility to spend a lot of time with him. Bubba is loyal, protective, loving, silly and playful. Bubba is not a fan of other dogs, large or small. He requires someone strong to handle/restrain him in a public setting where he might encounter other dogs. Bubba currently lives with a Chihuahua and cat. He is primarily an indoor dog. Bubba loves to go on car rides and is well behaved in the car. He also loves to play fetch and snuggle.

As much as I enjoy spending time with them, I really would like to find my forever home. 🎤 What is your favorite season? 🐾 Summer so I can jump around and play in the water. 🎤 What is your favorite thing to eat? 🐾 Everything, including unattended toys and unsupervised bags of treats. 🎤 What do you enjoy doing in your free time? 🐾 I really like playing with rope toys and playing fetch. 🎤 What does your ideal family look like? 🐾 I prefer a home with adults and older children. I have a lot of energy and don’t do well around small children. 🎤 Would you like to be the only pet in the family or are you okay with sharing the attention? 🐾 I would prefer to do a meet and greet with other dogs that live in the current home so I can decide if I am able to get along with them. 🎤 What is something important people should know about you? 🐾 I get overstimulated easily, so I would do best with a family who can give me exercise, structure, and continued training. 🍝 Meet Rigatoni! At 9 years old and about 65 pounds, Rigatoni is a senior Pit Bull mix with plenty of personality—and despite his age, this guy still has some pep in his pasta! 🍝🐾 Rigatoni arrived at WVHS as a stray, so we don't know much about the life he lived before coming to us. What we do know is that he's a sweet, food-loving guy who can become anxious and overstimulated, particularly when there's a lot going on around him. When Rigatoni gets excited or overwhelmed, he may jump and become mouthy, and sometimes he doesn't quite realize how strong he is. He'll do best with a calm, confident family willing to give him structure, appropriate outlets for his energy, and continued positive training to help him make good choices when those big feelings take over. And if you're wondering how to get his attention? The answer is probably snacks. 😂 Rigatoni is very food motivated, which can be a great tool for continuing his training and building a relationship with him. Because his mouthy behavior can be pretty enthusiastic, we recommend a home with older children (8+) who will be comfortable around a large, energetic dog. Rigatoni may be a senior, but don't expect him to spend his entire retirement snoozing on the couch just yet! He needs a family who understands that even older dogs can benefit from exercise, enrichment, consistency, and continued training. If you're looking for a wonderfully quirky older gentleman and don't mind helping him polish up a few of his manners, come meet Rigatoni! 💜 After all, every good recipe needs a little patience—and this Rigatoni might just be the missing ingredient in your family. 🍝🏡🐾
