Volunteer Notes: A Walk with Louie `Louie pulls on the leash a little, but he doesn`t tug too much. He`s very attentive, I called for him once, and he came running right over, happy to stay close by. He`s food motivated and takes treats gently with a little lick. His coat could use some TLC, but what`s there is actually very soft. He`s definitely a sweet boy who`s eagerly waiting for his person to come adopt him.`Louise, KHS VolunteerLouie came in with a pretty severe skin infection. It has been responding well to treatment. Hello everyone! My name is phineas! I am a 10 week old boxer lab mix! Thats a best guess for my breed though! I am about 10 pounds currently and am expected to be about 50-60 pounds as an adult but again, thats a best guess! Whatever I am or my size, I am SO CUTE! I have started already on house and crate training! I came from a kitty TNR group in Muncie, they were not equipped for any dogs at all let alone a litter of puppies but when half of my siblings were hit snd killed because we were living outside they took us in! Other rescues have helped split us up to better find us homes and take care of us so my brother and I came to unchained souls. I am fostered with dogs as small as 2 pounds up to a Great Dane, cats of all sizes, and kids as young as 6 years old and I am just a happy wiggly sweet puppy boy! I would make the perfect best for any home setting! Adoption donation fee is $400 which it is tax-deductible and goes towards the care of homeless pets with Unchained Souls Canine Rescue. Hi, I’m Tanner! I’m approximately 2 years old, weigh 49 lbs, appear to be an American Bulldog/Cattle Dog mix (though we're not sure!) and if you’re wondering how a handsome guy like me ended up looking for a new family... well, my story is a little unusual. When my previous owner was arrested, I suddenly had nowhere to go. The shelter in my county wasn't able to take me in, but thankfully, one of the police officers involved wasn't about to leave me without somewhere safe to land. That kind officer took me in and cared for me while trying to figure out what came next. With a little teamwork between him and the Director here at FCAC, I was able to make my way here. So now I'm officially safe, cared for, and ready for my second chance. And I have a feeling I'm going to make someone pretty happy! Other dogs: I seem like I could do well with another dog with proper introductions and a meet & greet. Cats: I don't seem too bothered by them. In fact... the humans have a sneaking suspicion I've been on the receiving end of a kitty swat before. I seem to understand that cats come equipped with weapons and should be respected. Kids: Based on my personality, everyone expects me to do well with respectful kiddos too! As always, proper introductions are important. I'm still settling in and letting everyone get to know me, but so far I'm proving to be a sweet, friendly guy who deserves the opportunity to leave the uncertainty of my past behind. I didn't get to choose how my first chapter ended. But maybe I can choose you for the next one. Neutered, microchipped, Heartworm Negative, current on vaccines and on monthly prevention.
