Story
Hi friends! My name is Reaper and I am about 3 years old! I am a friendly boy that is excited to find my furever home! I'm a very curious dog so don't expect me to interact right away, I just like to take in my environment which includes smelling all the new smells. As soon as I am done checking out my surroundings I will definitely love to play! I like to play tug the most but watch your arms because I'm not very coordinated and have been known to accidently get mouthy with people's arms (no worries I let go right away)! I don't have an aggressive bone in my body and don't mind if you take food or toys from me (a bad habit so don't just take things but if its something I'm not supposed to have, you are safe to take it from me). I will need to work on my manners but no worries I am highly treat motivated. I'm a fun guy to take out and walk so grab a leash and learn a little more about me! I do well with other dogs as long as they can keep up with my energy and play style! Just like with tug of war, I can play pretty rough with other dogs too, so they gotta keep up with me! Unfortunately, I do not do well with cats, so I will need a cat free home.Give the shelter a call at (574) 267-3008 or email them at info@awlwarsaw.com if you have any questions about me! If not, stop by the shelter at 1048 S 325 E in Pierceton, IN 46562 to look at me! No appointments necessary!

They do not come more irresistible than our Poppy! She will surely pop her way right into your heart. She is young, vibrant, and ready to go to her new home. This boxer mix is working on her basic obedience skills and doggie manners. She has met some dog friends, but tends to be very dog selective. Due to her energy and enthusiasm Poppy would do better with older children only 12+, and a secure fenced yard.DOB 11/10/23 40 Pounds and GrowingI'm waiting for a home to call my own. email webmaster@petrefuge.com to learn more about me or fill out an application at https://www.petrefuge.com/adoptPet Refuge was formed in 1978 to help with cats and dogs in need of homes. Hi, I’m Lola! I’m a sweet, goofy girl. I can take a bit to warm up to someone new, but once I do, I will greet you with a piggy snort. I would love a home with no cats, dogs, or small children. A home with a yard would be fun as well! I love to run around and play. I would benefit from attending a class or private session from one of our recommended trainers, such as A Canine Story, to continue setting me up for success. I really can't wait to find her forever home and make new memories! Story
Meet Jude.... she is a beautiful brown / black brindle female boxer mix. She is a sweet soul who wants to be where you are. She is very friendly and wants to meet and greet everyone (no one is a stranger). She can be a little shy at first meeting, but in no time she will determine if she can snuggle up and call you hers. Given her love of people, she does not like to be left alone. She will do best in a household where someone is home most of the day or she can travel with you. She is very very well behaved if she has a person with her. If she is alone she will find things to get into and will scratch and chew things. If left alone, she will need to be crated in a heavy duty, non-wire crate to keep her safe. She is using a crate in her foster home and does get anxious at first going in, but does settle down in 5-15 mintues. She is great with cats however she sometimes does try to chase them in a playful manner, but does really well when being called over to leave them be. She seems to know the "leave it" command. Jude is also good with other dogs, she is friendly and does the appropriate get to know you sniff but is not too intrusive. So, she would be fine in a house with other pets. Jude wants to believe she’s a lap dog. She'll make the lap thing happen! She gets very excited for food and would do best with a slow feeder to keep her from scarfing her food in 2 seconds. P.S. She’s super soft ! Come and meet Jude and pet her soft, sweet face for yourself.  ##943684##

Story
My name is Uno and I am a high energy, loyal companion looking to bring lots of cuddles to your home!! I love attention and bonding with my people, which is why my owner believes I would thrive in a home without other dogs or small children. I take a daily calming chew to help me when I'm anxious, especially when left alone, so I'll need a patient family to help build my confidence as I adjust. Once settled, I will happily sleep beside you for comfort and greet you with lots of butt wiggles! If you are looking for a devoted best friend who loves affection, I may be the perfect match for you.

Story
Hi, I'm Oreo! About 3 years old | APBT Mix | 56 lbs (with a little more to gain!) I was confiscated from a neglect/hoarding situation with several other dogs, where we were living in conditions no one should be living in. We often had to compete with one another for basic necessities like food and water. Thankfully, those days are over, and now I'm getting the care, love, and second chance I've always deserved! Despite everything, I'm still a friendly, outgoing guy who loves people and is ready to start enjoying life. Friendly and affectionate Outgoing personality Well-mannered Keeps a clean kennel  I've lived with other dogs my entire life and I have a few doggie friends here at the shelter. We expect I'll do well with proper introductions!  Because of my background, we'd simply recommend supervising interactions around high-value items like food, treats, and favorite toys if there are other pets in the home considering I had limited food, water and resources in my previous home. I seem to be cat friendly! I met the office cat and showed polite curiousity without any signs of aggression. As with any new pet, we'd still recommend slow introductions and supervising interactions until everyone is comfortable if there are any cats in the home. And did I mention I'm great with kiddos?! I am so gentle with them.  I'm house trained, dog friendly, cat friendly & kid friendly, making me an easy addition to almost any home!  Maybe that home is yours?   Neutered, microchipped, Heartworm & Lyme Negative, current on vaccines and on monthly prevention. Adoption fee is $100.   If you are interested in meeting and adopting, please submit an application here: https://www.fultoncoanimalcenter.org/application-to-adopt-a-dog Once submitted, staff will review your application during open hours. Please allow 24-36 hours for a response. If approved, we will contact you to schedule a meet & greet! Any other dogs in the home must come along and some dogs may require all family members to come as well! If it's a match, you can your new dog home the same day. We do offer a 2 week foster to adopt trial time, to be sure the chosen pet is a good fit, before finalizing the adoption!    See all of our adoptable pets here: https://www.fultoncoanimalcenter.org/adoptable-dogs-and-cats   Adoption Hours: Monday & Saturday 11am-4pm | Tuesday & Friday 11am-5pm | Wednesday 11am-6pm | Thursday & Sunday CLOSED ##2794797##

Story
Hi, I'm Thor! 1 year old | APBT Mix | 44 lbs If you ask me... life is way too short not to have fun! I came from a neglect/hoarding case where nine of us were living in conditions no one should ever have to endure. We often had to compete with one another for basic necessities like food and water just to survive. But somehow... none of that took away my happy spirit!   When I first arrived at the shelter, staff thought I had a badly broken front leg because my right front leg is bent. During my neuter surgery, the veterinarian examined it and believes it's most likely a deformity of my wrist joint that I was born with rather than an old fracture! Since X-rays weren't taken, we can't say that with complete certainty, but one thing is certain... It doesn't slow me down one bit!! I run, play, zoom around, play with my dog friends, and enjoy life just like any other young dog. I don't let my unique little leg hold me back, and you shouldn't either. While it has never seemed to bother me, my future family may want to have their own veterinarian evaluate it during my first wellness visit to determine if any additional diagnostics or long-term recommendations would be beneficial. A daily joint supplement may also be a great addition to help support my joints as I grow older!   Sweet and affectionate Playful, energetic, and full of spunk Dog friendly Loves to have fun Ready for a lifetime of adventures I've lived with other dogs my entire life and have done well with them. We expect I'll continue to do well with proper introductions. I seem to be cat friendly as well! Based on my friendly, goofy personality, we also expect I'll do well with respectful children. However, I'm a strong rambunctious boy who may accidentally knock them over out of excitement. until I get a little guidance with basic manners.   I'll likely need a little guidance with potty training and house manners as well, but with a consistent routine, patience, and positive reinforcement, I'll catch on quickly!   I'm looking for someone who sees past where I came from, smiles at my one-of-a-kind leg, laughs at my goofy personality, and gives me the chance to spend the rest of my life doing what I do best... being a happy dog.   Neutered, microchipped, Heartworm & Lyme Negative, current on vaccines and on monthly prevention. Adoption fee is $100   If you are interested in meeting and adopting, please submit an application here: https://www.fultoncoanimalcenter.org/application-to-adopt-a-dog   Once submitted, staff will review your application during open hours. Story
Hi, I'm Allie! 1-2 years old | APBT Mix | 40 lbs (with a little more to gain!) Though life hasn't always been kind to me... you'd never know it by the way I greet people! I was confiscated from a neglect/hoarding situation with several other dogs, where we were living in conditions no one should be living in and life was all about surviving instead of simply being a dog. We often had to compete for things like food and water just to get by. But somehow, through it all, I never lost my happy spirit.   I'm a bubbly, energetic, happy-go-lucky girl who gets excited to see people and is ready to start living the life I've always deserved! Sweet and affectionate Fun, playful personality Energetic and eager to explore Has lived with other dogs Ready to learn and experience life Because of my past, I'm still learning all about living as a beloved family pet. I'll likely need a little guidance with potty training and house manners, but with a consistent routine and lots of positive reinforcement, I should catch on quickly! I'm still young and eager to learn.   I have lived with other dogs my entire life, so with proper introductions, I should do just fine with another dog.  Because I used to have to compete for basic necessities like food and water, it's recommended to supervise me around meals and high-value treats while I learn that there's always enough to go aroudn and I never have to fight for those things again.    I seem to be cat friendly! I met the office cat with polite curiousity and no signs of aggression. I'm expected to do just fine with kiddos, as long as they're respectful!   More than anything, I'm looking for someone who will show me what it's like to be loved, safe, and part of a family. I missed out on so much during the first part of my life... but I have a feeling the best part of my story is still waiting to be written.   Spayed, microchipped, Heartworm & Lyme Negative, current on vaccines and on monthly prevention. Adoption fee is $100.   If you are interested in meeting and adopting, please submit an application here: https://www.fultoncoanimalcenter.org/application-to-adopt-a-dog Once submitted, staff will review your application during open hours.
