Story

Moxley was rescued by us in March. He is about 1.5 years old and full of love. He loves his soft squeaky toys to carry around for comfort as well as his tug of war rope to show you what he’s made of. He loves to be around all people and needs to feel that closeness. He loves to go to the dog park and play fetch. When it comes to other dogs he is curious, does not try to attack, nor does he bark at them. When walking, he makes sure to get all his sniffs in and if he sees other people, he thinks they all want to play with him. He is potty trained and he doesn’t have accidents. Moxley does great with my 8 year old daughter as well as my younger nieces and nephews. He has occasional play dates with his dog cousins and they run and play until they just can’t anymore. He would do well in a home with people who don’t have a super busy and chaotic lifestyle as he thrives with his people. He would be a great addition to someone’s family and we want the absolute best for him.

Winston is the kind of dog who seems to approach life with full enthusiasm and very little hesitation. When staff first met him, he came running over as soon as he heard someone whistling, ready to play and interact right away. Since arriving at the shelter, he has continued showing friendly, social behavior, greeting people with loose wags, happily coming over when called, and enjoying time outside getting fresh air and attention. He also has a silly, overexcited side that pops out when he is really feeling himself, which honestly just makes him feel even more like an oversized puppy trying to figure out how to channel all that energy. Winston looks like a dog who will thrive with structure, activity, and people who appreciate a playful personality. He enjoys interaction and connection but also has enough independence to wander around and do his own thing between check-ins. With continued guidance and outlets for his energy, Winston has all the makings of a really fun companion for someone who wants a dog that brings a little humor, personality, and enthusiasm into everyday life. All adoptions include support from our adoption team to ensure a smooth transition from the shelter to your home. I got Nessa when she was about 9 months old in 2018 and have had her since. Until about early 2025 I did not have any issues with her she was house trained and with time would get used to visitors/ strangers. She is extremely cuddly and loves to sunbath even if from a window! She can sit and wait to be told to eat her food and can shake and sit and lay down on command. Nessa has a lot of anxiety and at the beginning of 2025 it got worse due to me having to take on 2 jobs to afford our home and that kept me away from home for long periods of time while she stayed home alone. This happened for about a year until I had to move in with my parents who already had 3 dogs themselves but Nessa had been around them all for years. Unfortunately the dogs started to not get along and Nessa had gotten hurt and wish to give her a better safer home. Due to the trauma I don’t believe it would be in her best interest to start off with someone who already has a dog. Please help me help Nessa..
