Story
Luna is a great dog but she needs someone who can give her more exercise and needs a yard with a fence. She has been trained with an invisible fence but when another dog goes by she will dart after them and go over it! I travel a lot and kennel fees are expensive and my kids won’t watch her anymore because of the darting after other dogs! They both have dogs and gets on well with them it’s a strange dog she goes after! I have taken her to dog parks and once off lease she is fine but on lease she is very protective of me! She is good with kids as I have several grandkids and has only jumped on them usually when they first get there because she is excited! The only reason I am charging a fee as I just got her up to date on all shots and has gotten the new flea shot that was expensive! And I think a fee will get her a good home! Please let me know if you have any other questions!

Story
Pickles is a 3-year-old Beagle/Boxer mix with a truly one-of-a-kind look — and a heart to match. Her soft, soulful eyes and gentle spirit tell the story of a girl who hasn’t had the easiest start, but who’s ready to soak up all the love she’s missed out on. Pickles is the definition of a velcro dog — she always wants to be close to her people, whether that means curling up beside you on the couch or climbing right into your lap for snuggles. When she gets excited, she breaks into the cutest little tippy-taps with her paws that are guaranteed to melt your heart. Pickles is lover of playtime and can sometimes play a little rough with people she trusts, but we think with a little training she'll be able to regulate that in no time. She’s friendly and social with every dog she meets and has a sweet, submissive play style that makes her a great companion for canine friends. Pickles is also wonderful with kids, but her prey drive kicks in a little too much when she's around cats, so she'd do best in a home without them. This smart girl is potty-trained, crate-trained, and knows her basic manners. She responds to her name and walks well on a leash. Pickles is both food- and praise-motivated, making her eager to please and a joy to train. Pickles would thrive in just about any loving home — whether it’s with another dog or as the center of attention — as long as she has her own people to love and stay close to. She’s a sweetheart through and through, just happy to be alive and ready to share that happiness with you. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate companion who’ll stick by your side through thick and thin, Pickles is your girl.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hi! I am an energetic working boy who is looking for a home to call my own! I am around 6 years old and know all of my basic commands including, sit, lay down, and off. I would love to find a family with another dog and a fenced in yard. Please no children because I am still working on my manners, including how to greet young people and strangers appropriately. I am looking for an experienced dog owner, someone who is a strong handler and is looking for a lifelong companion that is smart and will be their #1 sidekick. I cannot wait to find my forever home!   Broly's adoption fee is $250 and includes his neuter, microchip, current vaccinations and preventatives PLUS an obedience course at Cedar Run in Hiawatha.  Last Hope requires that all animals be kept as indoor pets only, be altered and current on vaccinations and preventatives.  Our adoption process includes reference and background checks, a home visit and a vet check.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 9, 2026, 11:31 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Surgery done to repair broken elbow and FHO on left hip.Timmy’s story is one of resilience, healing, and hope. Now just a year old, this handsome pup came into rescue as a tiny puppy after enduring unthinkable cruelty at the hands of his owner that left him with a severely broken front elbow and damage to his left hip. Thanks to proper care (and justice being served), Timmy got the second chance he deserved. Much of his early life was spent confined while his fragile bones healed, but through it all, Timmy showed incredible strength and determination. Today, he’s left those painful days behind and is blossoming into a playful, curious young dog who’s eager to experience all the joys he missed out on as a pup! Timmy has worked hard to overcome his past and continues to grow more confident every day. He is regaining strength in his young body and will thrive with a continued active lifestyle that offers moderate exercise for his repaired hip joint. A fenced in yard will be great, but leash walking will also be great for Timmy!  Because of his past, he’ll thrive best with a patient, understanding adopter who can offer him a stable environment and give him the time he needs to settle in. Once he bonds with you, Timmy’s loyalty and sweetness truly shine and he's a friend for life! He’s now discovering how fun it is to play and enjoys spending time with other dogs, learning valuable social skills along the way. However, we do feel that Timmy would do best in a home without small animals or young children. Timmy has come so far and has so much love to give, he just needs the right person to join him on his journey! If you’re looking for a devoted companion and are willing to give him the loving home he deserves, Timmy might just be your perfect match. If you would like to meet Timmy, please submit an adoption application through our website, Adopthope.org.  Last Hope requires that adopters have a history of having kept any previous pets altered, as indoor pets only and kept current on annual vet visits and vaccines.  Our adoption process includes a vet history check and a home visit.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.July 3, 2026, 4:40 pm
