Story
Ryder (b. 4/30/2021) pittie mix who was rescued from a terrible domestic violence situation.  Ryder is super sweet ONCE YOU HAVE GAINED HIS TRUST, but still feels fearful in new situations and will bark at strangers. He does take a while to warm up to new people and will need need a few meet and greets before an adoption can be finialized.  He LOVES walks and playing with other dogs. He knows his manners well and is fully potty trained. Story
Say hello to Quinn, a Pit bull Terrier mix born approximately on October 12, 2021. This pretty girl goes by Quinn now but her at one point was called Gurl and she loves to be by her people and is the perfect "velcro dog". Quinn loves to play with her foster siblings and her foster thinks she would thrive with another dog in the home. Older children would be a great match for Quinn's energy! Now don't let her fool ya, this girl has got hops so a 6-foot fence would be best for this girl to be able to run around in the backyard. So who is ready to adopt this sweet girl and be the best part of her new ticket in life?  The suggested adoption donation for Quinn/Gurl is $325. Muddy Paws is a 501c3 non-profit organization meaning that part of your donation MAY be TAX DEDUCTIBLE. We are a 100% volunteer rescue committed to giving animals a second chance at life. All donations go toward that mission. Adoption fees are the primary source of funding for the cost of veterinary care for our animals.  In 2021 alone, we provided animal Healthcare totaling over $307,000 covered mainly through adoption fees. Before applying to adopt Quinn/Gurl, you need to be familiar with your local breed-specific legislation regarding Pit Bulls. Applicants must live within 50 miles of the Omaha/Council Bluffs area. Information about the adoption process: All adoptions require a completed ADOPTION APPLICATION. Once your application is approved, we will put you in touch with the animal’s foster to see if you and the pet are a good match. If so, we will arrange a meeting for you and the animal. Story
Luca (b.3/6/2022) a blue-eyed, male pittie.  He is the sweetest boy who is looking for a place to call home!  Luca has lots of playful energy and loves his chew toys, crawling on laps, and snuggling! Lucas is potty trained. He is crate trained but is working on overcoming some negative stimulus while in his crate.  He loves his food/high value chews and doesn’t want anyone around while he enjoys it.  He will need slow introductions to new dog friends but then will need some time to decompress, which who doesn’t after meeting new people.  He needs a home that will provide consistent calming enrichment and continual positive reinforcement. He would be good in a home with older children that respect his space and will not take things away from him. Must live within a 50 mile radius of Omaha/Council Bluffs to continue working with the trainer.  Luca does have a tendency to guard items, such as food and his kennel, so a home with no children under 12 would be best. Luca, as with all Muddy Paws dogs, comes with free BEHAVIORAL training for life! The suggested adoption donation for Luca is $300.  Muddy Paws is a 501c3 non-profit organization which means that part of your donation MAY be TAX DEDUCTIBLE. We are a 100% volunteer rescue committed to giving animals a second chance at life. All donations go toward that mission. Adoption fees are the primary source of funding for the cost of veterinary care for our animals.  In 2020 alone, we were able to provide animal Healthcare costing over $241,000 covered mainly through adoption fees. Information about the adoption process: All adoptions require a completed ADOPTION APPLICATION. Once your application is approved, we will put you in touch with the animal’s foster to see if you and the pet are a good match. If so, we will arrange a meeting for you and the animal. Alterations are REQUIRED for all Muddy Paws adoptions. The contract states the alter must be done within ONE month of the adoption date or adopter will be in breach of contract. Adopters are required to provide proof of alter to Muddy Paws Rescue immediately after the procedure is complete. Thank you in advance for your compliance. Story
This distinguished gentleman is Mike, a Pitbull Terrier, born approximately September 2016.  He is a friendly guy who likes being active, likes to play ball and knows how to walk on a leash.  He is friendly wtih kids of all ages, but is not so sure about other animals, so he will need to be the only animal in the home.  He is looking for a place with people to give him love and attention and in turn, he'll probably have a few kisses and cuddles for you!! The suggested adoption donation for Mike is $350. Please Note: A Courtesy Post designates that an animal is still in the home of its owner and not in a Muddy Paws foster. This means that our exposure to the animal is limited since we are only assisting the owner in finding a new home for their pet. From time to time owners find a new furever home for their pets outside of Muddy Paws Second Chance Rescue, and there is a delay in removing them from our site. We apologize if the Courtesy Post you apply to adopt is unavailable for adoption. Information about the adoption process: All adoptions require a completed ADOPTION APPLICATION. Once your application has completed our prescreen steps, we will put you in touch with the animal’s foster to see if you and the pet are a good match. If so, we will arrange a meeting for you and the animal. The adoptions for all of our animals will take place in the Omaha, NE area and must be done by the adoptive family in person. We do not ship or deliver. Please Note: We are a RESCUE, which is different from a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks, and a Home Visit (Virtual in some cases) during the application approval process. We always select the right applicant for each animal, based on the animal’s needs. If you and the animal are not a good match, we will help you select another animal, or we will keep your approved application on file for 6 months. Story
Camilla (b 1/2017) a is a gorgous Pit Bull mix, who is ready for her second chance!  Are you looking for a companion that will cuddle under a cozy blanket with you?  Camilla is your gal.  She came to the rescue just in time to have her pups, who've since found their furever homes; now it is Camilla’s turn!  It takes her slow intros and time for her to feel comfortable with other dogs in the home.  She is not fond of high energy dogs.  She loves to greet people when out in public, she says HI to everyone.  Her favorite is going to Starbucks for a pup cup.  She is very sweet and gentle and would do best in a quite and calm home.  Does Camilla sound like the perfect fit for you? The suggested adoption donation for Camilla is $325, which includes a lifetime of free relationship-based training for any behavioral problems (not obedience training). Muddy Paws is a 501c3 non-profit organization meaning that part of your donation MAY be TAX DEDUCTIBLE. We are a 100% volunteer rescue committed to giving animals a second chance at life.
