Story
Scooby is a young, energetic, and incredibly sweet boy with a heart as big as his playful spirit. He was found out in the country alongside his brother, Shaggy, and it’s likely the two had been on the run for a while before finding safety. Despite that, Scooby has handled the transition into shelter life like a champ. He’s loving, playful, and adjusts to new people and situations fairly well. Scooby has a slightly more confident personality, which helps him bounce back quickly and approach life with curiosity and enthusiasm. He seems relatively dog-friendly, though dog-to-dog meet-and-greets are always recommended for any pups already in the home. He may even do okay with cats, given proper introductions.Like many young dogs, Scooby could use some polishing on his manners, he’s still working on things like not jumping up, learning how to settle, and mastering potty training. But underneath that puppy energy is a well-rounded, eager boy who truly wants to connect and learn. With structure, consistency, and lots of love, Scooby has so much potential to grow into an amazing lifelong companion. If you’re looking for a fun, affectionate pup ready to start his next chapter, Scooby might just be your guy.Scooby is neutered, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, heartworm testing, and preventatives. His adoption fee has been generously fully sponsored by his finder! You can get a head start by filling out our adoption questionnaire at agcshelter.org/adopt-1 or stop by to meet Scooby and all of our adoptable pets Tuesday–Saturday from 1pm–4pm. We’d love to help you find your perfect match!

Story
Shaggy is a young sweetheart with a soft spirit and a heart full of love. He was found out in the country alongside his brother, Scooby, and it’s likely the two had been running for quite some time before they were brought to safety. Through it all, Shaggy has remained incredibly gentle and trusting.A submissive little people-pleaser, Shaggy has a softer, more sensitive energy than his brother. He looks to his humans for reassurance and truly wants to do the right thing. He’s extremely sweet, playful, and very malleable — the kind of pup who will blossom beautifully with patient guidance and positive reinforcement.Shaggy enjoys playtime and affection in equal measure. He handles new people and situations fairly well, especially when he has a calm, confident human by his side. He seems relatively dog-friendly, though dog-to-dog meet-and-greets are always recommended for any dogs in the home.Like any young pup, Shaggy will need continued work on general manners, learning to settle, and potty training. But his eager-to-please personality will make training a rewarding experience for the right family.Shaggy is neutered, microchipped, up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, and heartworm tested (negative). His adoption fee has been generously fully sponsored by his finder! You can apply to adopt Shaggy at agcshelter.org/adopt-1 or come by to meet him and our other adoptable pets Tuesday-Saturday from 1pm-4pm.If you’re looking for a loyal, gentle companion who will grow alongside you and soak up every bit of love you give, Shaggy is ready to start his next chapter.

Story
Ozzy is a male Pitbull and Husky mixed doggy who is about 2 years old. Ozzy does know how to sit and shake. Ozzy is a handsome, free-spirited Husky/Pit mix with a big personality and an adventurous heart. True to his Husky roots, he’s energetic, intelligent, and always ready to explore. Add in that Pit mix loyalty, and you’ve got a devoted companion who will bond deeply with his people. Ozzy has previously lived around other dogs and may do well with a proper introduction. His compatibility with cats is currently unknown. As with many young, active dogs, he’ll thrive in a home that can provide structure, exercise, and positive reinforcement training. Ozzy was surrendered due to resource guarding, so he’ll need an experienced, patient adopter who understands canine behavior and is willing to continue working on training and building trust. With clear boundaries and consistency, dogs like Ozzy can make incredible progress. Ozzy’s Ideal Home: Active household that can keep up with his energy Experienced dog owner Continued training and positive reinforcement Proper introductions to any resident pets If you’re looking for a loyal, energetic companion with a free spirit and tons of potential, Ozzy might just be your guy! Ozzy is described as a 'Free Spirit'. Intelligent, independent, confident and clever, I prefer making my own decisions but will listen to you if you make a good case. We’re partners in this adventure. Treat me like one and we’ll both live happily ever after. (Internally motivated). It is recommended that whenever you add a new animal to your household, it is done with a slow and monitored introduction. Cats will be vaccinated against feline distemper and feline parvo, and have been wormed. . All animals will be bathed and treated for fleas/ear mites. Story
Lilac is a female Pitbull mixed doggie who is about 2.5 years old. She would probably do best with no other pets since she has a pretty high prey drive. Lilac is very energetic, playful, loves toys and treats. Knows sit. She sucks on her blanket like she's nursing on it, which is so very cute. She is described as a 'Goofball'. I’m a fun-loving, happy-all-the-time, glass-is-half-full kind of dog looking for someone who loves to laugh and play around. Must have a great sense of humor and some time to spend with me. I’m a dog on a mission to please you. (Socially motivated). It is recommended that whenever you add a new animal to your household, it is done with a slow and monitored introduction. All our animals have been spayed/neutered (or will be arranged if currently too young). Dogs will be tested for heart worms, vaccinated against distemper/parvo and rabies. .
