Shaggy is a young sweetheart with a soft spirit and a heart full of love. He was found out in the country alongside his brother, Scooby, and it’s likely the two had been running for quite some time before they were brought to safety. Through it all, Shaggy has remained incredibly gentle and trusting.A submissive little people-pleaser, Shaggy has a softer, more sensitive energy than his brother. He looks to his humans for reassurance and truly wants to do the right thing. He’s extremely sweet, playful, and very malleable — the kind of pup who will blossom beautifully with patient guidance and positive reinforcement.Shaggy enjoys playtime and affection in equal measure. He handles new people and situations fairly well, especially when he has a calm, confident human by his side. He seems relatively dog-friendly, though dog-to-dog meet-and-greets are always recommended for any dogs in the home.Like any young pup, Shaggy will need continued work on general manners, learning to settle, and potty training. But his eager-to-please personality will make training a rewarding experience for the right family.Shaggy is neutered, microchipped, up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, and heartworm tested (negative). Our adoption hours are Tuesday-Friday 3-6PM and 1-5PM on the weekends. We are located in Burlington, Iowa.
