Meet Trish A Gentle Soul and True Survivor Trish is a 3-year-old, 40-pound sweetheart with a heart full of love and a spirit thats stronger than you can imagine. When we pulled her from a shelter in Kentucky, she was in heartbreaking shape covered in a severe yeast infection, with almost no hair left on her body and open, bloody sores around her neck. Scared and neglected, Trish was an owner surrender who had clearly suffered from a lack of care and compassion. But despite it all, Trish never gave up. With time, patience, and lots of TLC, Trish has blossomed. Her gorgeous red coat is growing back in, and her gentle, affectionate nature has started to shine. She gets along wonderfully with other dogs, doesnt mind cats, and is crate trained. She takes treats gently and loves to be loved on soaking up every bit of kindness and attention as if shes making up for lost time. Trish is a survivor, and shes ready for a forever home that will shower her with the love, patience, and care shes always deserved. Inquiries provide us with minimal information about the potential adopter, making it challenging for us to evaluate suitability.2. To ensure the safe and responsible transport of our animals, we currently only transport to these destinations: Greenwood, IN, Wilmington, OH, Washington, PA, and Lake City, FL.To be eligible for transport, dogs/cats must meet specific criteria:1. Approved Application: You will need to submit an adoption application for the animal and receive approval. Please also note that clicking the "I'm Interested" button on PetFinder is not an application. To start the adoption process, you need to fill out an application on our website.2. Deposit Paid: A deposit must be paid as part of the adoption process.3. Transport Contract Signed: The potential adopter must sign a transport contract, indicating their commitment to meet the dog on the designated date.The "Transport" label next to each animal's name signifies that this animal is available for transport, but please remember that this transport service is exclusively for dogs that meet the above criteria. Please understand that due to the high volume of inquiries, we may not be able to respond to questions covered in this FAQ section.1. Are your dogs potty trained?Unless the dog's bio specifically states that they are potty trained, you can assume they are not. Many of our rescue dogs come from challenging circumstances and may not have been exposed to housetraining. Housetraining is typically the responsibility of the adopter.2. Do you transport to other locations?Currently, we transport to Wilmington, Ohio, Greenwood, Indiana, Washington, PA, and Lake City, FL.3. Is this cat/dog still available?If the cat or dog is listed on Adopt-A-Pet and does not have an "adoption pending" tag on the website, we are still accepting applications. However, please be aware that we often receive multiple applications for each animal.4. How long does it take to hear back about my application?It can take up to 10 days to receive a response from us. If you do not hear back within this timeframe, please understand that we may have chosen not to move forward with your application.
