Story
Meet Jamie! Jamie is a sturdy Staffordshire Bull Terrier with the sweetest personality and a calm, easygoing nature. She has a relaxed, cozy vibe most of the time, but when she gets excited, she shows off her adorable “turbo turn,” a little burst of joy that’s guaranteed to make you smile. Jamie loves comfort and routine. She keeps a tidy crate, is quick to go potty, and has great recall. Her favorite place is curled up in her bed with a soft blanket, though she’s just as happy being right by your side, where she feels safest and most content. She enjoys gentle playtime with other dogs and is dog friendly, making her a great fit for a calm household. Plush toys may not survive long with her, but her love and companionship absolutely will. Jamie is incredibly affectionate and thrives on connection. She wants nothing more than to be close to her person, offering quiet companionship, loyalty, and lots of love. Jamie was originally saved from a euthanasia list in Houston, Texas by another rescue but was unfortunately abandoned in boarding. She has been with our rescue for the past six months and is now truly ready for the forever home she deserves. She is fully vetted, spayed, up to date on all vaccinations, and has been maintained on heartworm prevention. She is available for out-of-state transport to the right adopter. If you’re looking for a gentle, loving companion who will stay close and fill your home with warmth, Jamie could be your perfect match. Please reach out to schedule a FaceTime meet and greet and learn more about bringing her home.

Story
Meet Trish A Gentle Soul and True Survivor Trish is a 3-year-old, 40-pound sweetheart with a heart full of love and a spirit thats stronger than you can imagine. When we pulled her from a shelter in Kentucky, she was in heartbreaking shape covered in a severe yeast infection, with almost no hair left on her body and open, bloody sores around her neck. Scared and neglected, Trish was an owner surrender who had clearly suffered from a lack of care and compassion. But despite it all, Trish never gave up. With time, patience, and lots of TLC, Trish has blossomed. Her gorgeous red coat is growing back in, and her gentle, affectionate nature has started to shine. She gets along wonderfully with other dogs, doesnt mind cats, and is crate trained. She takes treats gently and loves to be loved on soaking up every bit of kindness and attention as if shes making up for lost time. Trish is a survivor, and shes ready for a forever home that will shower her with the love, patience, and care shes always deserved. If you're looking for a sweet, resilient companion who will return your love tenfold, Trish might just be the perfect addition to your life. To help streamline the adoption process and ensure we have the necessary information about potential adopters, please follow these steps:1. Understand the Difference: Submitting an inquiry or application on Adopt-A-Pet is not the same as applying for the dog or cat. Inquiries provide us with minimal information about the potential adopter, making it challenging for us to evaluate suitability.2. Submit an Application: We kindly ask that you submit an adoption application on our website to be considered for adoption. Please choose the appropriate application link below based on whether you are interested in adopting a dog or cat:~ Apply here (DOG): https://davincisdream.org/dog-adoption/~ Apply here (CAT): https://davincisdream.org/cat-adoption/3. Be Patient: Keep in mind that we are a volunteer-based organization, and we receive a high number of inquiries and applications. Due to these constraints, we may not be able to respond to every inquiry individually. However, submitting an application provides us with the necessary information to consider you as a potential adopter.**TRANSPORTS**We are based in Columbia, KY, and extend our services to other locations through our transport program. To ensure the safe and responsible transport of our animals, we currently only transport to these destinations: Greenwood, IN, Wilmington, OH, Washington, PA, and Lake City, FL.To be eligible for transport, dogs/cats must meet specific criteria:1. Deposit Paid: A deposit must be paid as part of the adoption process.3. Transport Contract Signed: The potential adopter must sign a transport contract, indicating their commitment to meet the dog on the designated date. The "Transport" label next to each animal's name signifies that this animal is available for transport, but please remember that this transport service is exclusively for dogs that meet the above criteria. This ensures the safety and well-being of the animals throughout the journey. For more information about our transport process, please visit our website here: https://davincisdream.org/transport/READ ABOUT OUR ADOPTION FEES: https://davincisdream.org/adoption-fees/**ADOPTION FEES**To view the adoption fees for our animals, please go to the "Dogs" or "Cats" tab and select "Available Dogs" or "Available Cats." We strive to provide you with all the information you need right here. Please understand that due to the high volume of inquiries, we may not be able to respond to questions covered in this FAQ section.1. Are your dogs potty trained?Unless the dog's bio specifically states that they are potty trained, you can assume they are not. Many of our rescue dogs come from challenging circumstances and may not have been exposed to housetraining. Housetraining is typically the responsibility of the adopter.2. Do you transport to other locations?Currently, we transport to Wilmington, Ohio, Greenwood, Indiana, Washington, PA, and Lake City, FL.3. Is this cat/dog still available? If the cat or dog is listed on Adopt-A-Pet and does not have an "adoption pending" tag on the website, we are still accepting applications. However, please be aware that we often receive multiple applications for each animal.4. How long does it take to hear back about my application? It can take up to 10 days to receive a response from us. If you do not hear back within this timeframe, please understand that we may have chosen not to move forward with your application. We are a volunteer-based organization and, while we read every application, we may not be able to respond to each one individually.Thank you for your interest in adopting one of our fur babies and for taking the time to review these FAQs. Your support and understanding of our processes are greatly appreciated as we work tirelessly to find loving homes for our rescue animals.

Story
Does require Apoquel prescription for allergies. Biggie is a 9year old boxer Rottweiler mix. 90 lbs. we’ve had him since he was a puppy. He is great with children and other animals. He has been the best dog. He is house trained and follows commands he will not roll over though. He doesn’t like car rides gets anxiety and wines during car rides. He loves a good game of fetch and just being with family. I wish we could keep him but under our circumstances we are moving to housing that doesn’t allow animals.
